Ego space

Iono's prana core had more than just power. Anyone that possessed a prana core, had something called an "Ego space".

It was similar to a dimensional pocket, inside it, they could store inanimate matter, but it was also different, because not only did it grow bigger and stronger along with its owner, but after some point, it could even gain sentience.

It would be like a partner that followed the prana core individual in life and death. It was something that very few had managed to manifest, and the benefits were immense.

Iono's consciousness was pulled inside his core one more time. He looked at the spiralling vortex, looking for strands of space going rogue. The Ego space usually hid in those waiting for the owner to find it.

Iono almost immediately sensed the rogue strand and pulled it with all his strength stretching it open. Inside the darkness, he saw a flickering green light and grabbed it.

Suddenly he found himself in his crib. His consciousness returned, and in front of him was a flickering green light that reflected on his blue irises making them look cyan.

He looked at the green light with wonder and he was interrupted by a purple face that shoved itself next to his, inspecting the light.

"Well looks good enough, let's give it a go!", Randell said. He had seen many Ego spaces before so he was, to say the least, unimpressed. Iono cursed the jester inwardly and tried opening the Ego space.

Usually, you just have to pull. But he was a baby... He couldn't pull. And so he tried to jump a step and learn to immediately access the Ego space with his mind.

Obviously, an utter failure. He had no Ego space before, and so no experience on the matter. This wasn't an item he imprinted but an extension of his core.

The Ego space was the mass of dimensional vertices that was created when three, different dimensional energies: mana, aura, and ether, tried to combine and become one.

When the energies start to merge, the dimensions bend on each other, until they reach a breaking point. Inside the fissure of that breaking point, a tiny space resided, aka "Ego space".

Iono was pissed at his inability to be better than the norm, and the jester was laughing, small tears forming on the side of his eyes, with the green baby's disordered face.

" BAHAHAHA! Ahh... Ah... Oof. That was a good laugh. Here you moron.", the jester said as he picked up Iono's hand and moved it to the flickering light so he could open it.

The flickering light suddenly became brighter and after Iono pulled, it opened, like a window.

A portal that looked like a stretched version of the green light, hollow in the middle, depicting total darkness. That's the Ego space.

Iono was surprised to know the moment the Ego space opened that it was empty. Not because it was empty but because he somehow knew. You can't see past the darkness.

The jester picked up the egg and placed it inside the Ego space, and the darkness swallowed the egg. Iono could now tell the egg was in the Ego space.

"Well, that takes care of that. Imprint it when you can move and remember if it hatches, and I'm not there, I'll rip your eyes out, even if Heaven is watching. ", said Randell as he turned around ready to leave.
