Gauntlet: Finale

Giant Swords, Spears, Halbreds and Axes.

Flaming Rocks, Glowing Arrows, Tree trunks and Disc.

Acid rain, Firestorm, Red Bolts and Golden Yellow Orbs that smelt of Sulphur.

Daggers, Spikes, Glass, Hooks, Machetes, Long Swords, Knives, Scythes, Pikes, and even Massive Shirukens and so much more! They all rained down upon the Mega Beast! Peppering it with Pain no living mortal should endure.

Yet it did not die!

It Bellowed in rage and thrashed it's numerous tentacles about, the massive flesh the size of actual trees further scarred the landscape, trees were uprooted, random wandering beasts were killed and absorbed into it's mass and Some of the Bogwomen were wounded in it's Onslaught!

Still we bombarded the hell outta it! We rained Fire and Brimstone upon the bastard, Vince tore it's Shadow apart.... it did little more than Tickle it but it's the Thought that counts I guess, Bradley transformed into a roaring Golden flame, he bathed the beast in his Majestic flame, it spread round it's main body, Boiling its eyes, roasting its flesh, yet it was not enough.

The Beast would not Yield!

It Cried in pain but still had the ware-it-all to target the Bogwomen, between the 22 of us, they were doing the chief share of Damage to it, Sammie had her sisters hurl mighty weapons and unforgiving spells at our Foe. Purple lights that caused it's body to swell and explode! Fire Serpents that ran rampant and tore chunks of its flesh off, She had One of them, A girl in an Almond Scaly dress rip apart it's tentacles with her bare hands, She was built like a truck and for some reason her skin was Grey unlike the rest of her sisters.

Little by little we started making progress, I asked Vince whether we should meet up with the Bogwomen, he said "We stay apart, we don't want this thing's job getting easier!" I guess he's right, Divided the creature has less focus on where to prioritize its Fury!

During the Frackard, Our resident Elf tried to escape numerous, it was futile off course.... eventually he stopped trying altogether but he didn't assist us, he simply flew up and hid in a nearby Oak tree, one of the few that withstood the Beast's Onslaught!

Sammie Shamed him!

"I did not know you were such a Coward Ferr.... I had hoped he would change since we separated, become more-"

"Brave? Screw that! I am not going die for anything like that!" Gambit snapped, Sir Geoegw and Barney glared at the bastard, Barney looked ready to charge at him but thought better of it as one tentacle came towards him, this one had bones and open slits on it's Flesh for some reason, Our Resident Hybrid barely dodged it's attack.

"Would you really leave us to die here, My love?" Sammie asked, her tone seemed pained.

".... I wouldn't leave you to such a fate.... you know that!"

"I do not know! I do not know you! The man I married would never cower like child in the face of danger!"

"I....."

"I will speak to Grazer on your behalf.... I'm a warden too, so he technically has to listen to me.... Please my love..."

Gambit reluctantly flew to Sammie's side, She smiled at him, it was so sweet and innocent, the two of them focused their attack on the several tentacles in their path, Gambit roasted them and Sammie.... she cocked upon a container.... A liquid poured outta it and wrapped it self round the tentacles, it drained the fluid from it and left them a dry husk.

"Is that sweet water?" I muttered, "Yes.... that's Samantha's power.... she can manipulate the properties of liquids," Sir George spoke, he and I were on top of Mr Mothman(Tentative Damn it!) He turned my Metal Bolts into those Glowing weapons, I aimed and fired them at the Creature's eyes, it was not pleased but it was plenty occupied, much to my PLEASURE!

Arthur was riding on Dreadline, the lizard man hurled Red Bolts and Golden fireballs at the mass of flesh, Any tentacle that tried to stop him was thwarted by Dreadline, the Festive Centipede deftly dodged and escaped their attacks.

Pedro hurled his glowing daggers while Barney protected his blindspot, Everyone had their duties, At this pace-

"Whoa! Mothman dodge! Dodge!" A massive tentacle burst from the ground, it was heading right at me! Only a few inches and-

"Relax it's fine!" A nasally voice said, It was Miranda, She was wearing.... some sort of Armour, I say some sort because the proportions were off and the styles mismatched..... The helmet was a lioness, the chest plate was scaled, the left arm was silverish in colour while the right was a dark brown, the legs were both white.... Odd was being kind, She grabbed the tentacle with both her arms, The one on the right turned to stone and the one on the right turned to a sharp spiky arm, she mercilessly crushed it till it was a bloody mess, it backed off immediately after.

"You owe one!" She jeered.

"I owe you 2 actually!" I laughed, she seemed pleased by this, she stood in front of us protectively "I'll stay here so you'll me 8 by the time we're finished!" She cried.

I don't know how much time has passed, maybe an hour? Maybe 3? Doesn't matter really, we were able to make some progress, if I were to say, it'd be about 30% of the Mega beast had been destroyed, not much but something, it wasn't smooth sailing to get here, Some of the Bogwomen had to retreat, they were to heavily injured to continue, so they were down to 9 of them now, Barney lost his left arm during the battle, he sealed the wound and continued fighting, He had no choice, we didn't have the luxury of showing weakness now of all times!

Bradley was protecting Vince, The Orc had passed out from exhaustion, some tentacles tride to rip him apart but got roasted for their trouble by Bradley's roaring flames. The rest of us were just trying to survive, It was frustrating but.... again no choice!

"Will this thing not just die!" Sir George spat, it seemed even he was getting tired of this game, The creature.... it wasn't as aggressive in its attacks as before, was it tired? or being patient? Either way if It's a battle of Attrition, it might be victorius against us.

"It'll take a miracle to end this!" I screamed.

".....It seems our miracle has arrived...." Miranda spoke, she looked up and I followed her gave, it was Lord Darius, he was too far away for me to see his face, the Worms swimming around his face didn't help me either..... but I could feel his irritation, he was disgusted by the Mega beast.

In contrast the beast shivered in Fear of Lord Darius, Needless to say, it was obvious who the top dog was here. The Spectral Dragon muttered some words in a strange tongue and in the next moment it turned black and disintegrated.

".....An anti matter spell.... Sometimes forget how Terrifying Lord Darius can be...." Miranda muttered, Sir George nodded in agreement.

"Kinda.... anticlimactic don't you think?" I said quietly, Miranda smiled, "If you want more excitement.... I have just the thing in mind! I don't know how you tamed a bio beast but I must study it!" Miranda cried and Sir George laughed.

The battle with the Mega beast had ended, Barney was maimed, Sammie had lost one of her sisters and Gambit was a sniveling mess.... but we survived.... we survived.
