AUTHOR NOTE: The first forty chapters are written in various points of view but often from a male perspective. This is story is a primarily female voiced story. After chapter 44 the split is about 90/10 female to male. The story arc demanded that the male characters are well fleshed out because most of the rest of the story is about the lead female and her story arc. I hope that helps to answer some questions.
Frustrated
Tomorrow was Ana's day ten appointment in New Haven. It had been five days since Nicholas came to live at the estate. They were all beginning to find a rhythm with each other but there was just one problem. Scott was on the war path.
Ana had worked out a system the next morning. She and Scott spent their morning together, then Nicholas joined her for lunch. Then the trio had dinner together. Ana had them bring in a table and chairs from the veranda which they sat close to the bed. From there the three of them would discuss what had happened outside that room throughout the day.
The main topic for the last week had been the state of Ana's inheritance. Nicholas would come in about an hour before lunch and they would go over different accounts, what they were for, and what they needed to investigate about each file. Then that evening they would broaden the topic about the day's finds and what it meant in a broader terms.
