The death of the queen
Ana and her children had gone to her mother's place, the village was not near to the palace, which made them to got there late at night, her mom welcomed them and also showed the kids where they will lay their heads that night. When the kids slept off Ana went outside to meet her mom." I know why you ran away from the palace, but I still don't understand why it has to be like this?, why did the gods choose to let that king go away with his bad attitudes towards you", her mom said, "mom did I do the right thing by running away with his children?" Ana asked now feeling guilty about what she did, "don't judge yourself, since he doesn't want you and your kids" her mom replied, "but mom do you think that the kids will go back to that palace when they grow?"Ana asked, her mom looked at her and smiled "the truth can't be and won't be forbidden forever the gods will prove king Obed wrong when the time will come." She replied.
Ana bent her head down and said"I think I should take them back to where they belong"her mom laughed at her, "are you okay, you ran away from a man who wanna have you killed, instead of you staying with your mom and train this future king than when he grows up he will go and take his rightful seat "her mom said. Ana was confused at this moment her heart keeps on telling her to stay back but her consciousness judge her for taking away the prince from the king." No I have to go back to him I can't do this anymore" she said, "are you normal at all you made this decision yourself and you are saying you can't do this anymore, common nobody forced you to do what you did, and please stop judging yourself because you did the right thing" her mom argued with her.
"Obed have you forgotten what your father told you before he died? and is like you have forgotten the consequences attached to it," the King's grandmother said. They were having their dinner, the old was surprised because Obed let her stay overnight in the palaced."Since morning you can it have been useless words you kept on saying, now tell me what's exactly wrong with you?"Obed said, "nothing is wrong with me, I felt the pain Ana felt before she left with the prince and princess, Obed your father and your mother were not happy with what you did this morning," she replied. This made Obed stop eating, which got him angry, "are you here to remind me about my lost gone father, or are you here to judge my actions?"Obed asked," or she is here to ruin our mood, my king"Monica added. The old woman stopped eating and started to stare at them."Grandma, you know what I'm capable of doing then why are you tempting me?"Obed asked"I am not tempting you I'm just reminding you what I think you have forgotten, Obed my grandson, please don't do this courtly mistake because you will regret It when the time shall come" she replied with full confidence."My darling looks like you have been blinded by these lies from this old and naughty woman" Monica said "no my love let her tell her lies till she is done with it " Obed replied Monica "Obed this will be the last time you will see me here advising you on what you know is right to do, is like you are now been controlled by a common lady from another village, she is not even part of the royal bloodline Obed you are a total disgrace to our family " she said. This made Obed so angry he quickly called the guards and they threw the old woman out of the palace that night.
When the old woman was finding her way home she has to pass through the forest because no kano or horse will take her home so she had to pass through the forest all alone. When she reached the lion's den she walked quietly because if she make a sound while walking the lions will wake up and attack her so she was quiet, but something happened a ghost appeared to her and she was brave enough to stand in front the ghost "you have done your part let the gods and us take it from where you stopped" said the ghost "who are you? and what are you talking about?" she asked looking confused "you don't need to know who I am and what I'm talking about just being observant enough will explain what just happened this night" the ghost said and disappeared "Obed no is not him " she guest and walked away.
Early morning Ana woke up and she woke up the Twins they left before her mom woke up. When her mom woke she searched for them but couldn't see them she now knew that Ana has left for the palace she was speechless but she took her bath and went to the river "I rather wait for her here than be at home worried" she said to herself.
The palace soldiers that were guarding the riverside beside the palace, sighted her from afar and one of them ran in and told the king. When the king came out Ana had already arrived with her kids and she came out of the kano with her kids."So you later came back, but tell me why? tell me why are you back?"Obed said Monica was standing beside him smiling, "I have come to give you back your kids because my conscience could not let me take them away from their father" Ana replied, her head bent down "maybe she does not have food to feed her children my king that's why she brought them back" Monica said. Obed commanded the soldiers to put them back into the kano and shout arrows at them until they reach the next village, the soldiers did as the king said, many arrows were shot at them but none harmed the Twins but Ana was badly injured so she died before the kano reached the nearby village, Ana's mom saw the kano coming so she rushed and pulled it out of the river, then she now found out that Ana has died and the twins were not hot she carried the twins home and buried Ana's dead body.
