""Haaaah~""

Two soldiers sighed as they walked through a rustic-looking, stone-made, open hallway.

"Damn..."

"Maaan~ who would have thought that the sword really would break?"

Pushing his hair back, one of the soldiers, a purple-haired young man who had; a shoulder-length hair that was beautifully parted in the middle, said looking at his friend.

"Haah..."

"I... guess so..."

His comrade, a younger, short-haired, brown-haired soldier, muttered in a rather depressing way.

"Yeah..."

"Well, at least we didn't get hurt..."

"So..."

".a.u.."

In the start, his voice was loud enough, but as he talked more, the voice of the purple-haired soldier got quieter and quieter... till the point it was inaudible.

"Hmm? What?"

Visibly confused, his friend, the brown-haired one asked.

"Ah..."

"Er, hmm, well..."

"I..er..ah.."

For some reason, the purple-haired man seemed hesitant in speaking something, and so, he only kept scratching his head awkwardly.

"I wanted to talk about the s.w.. hmm..."

"Hmm... anyways!"

"I wanted to say that, at least we didn't get hurt!"

"Hah? I guess so..."

Hearing this, the brown-haired could only agree with a somewhat upset expression.

"Well, so..."

"I mean! Just don't get too upset man!!"

The purple-haired one said frantically, as he patted the shoulder of his friend.

"Haah~"

Looking at the efforts of the purple-haired man, the brown-haired one, only sighed breathing deeply.

"..."

"FUCK YOU JOHANNES!!"

"How... how the hell can you say this to me!?"

Looking at Johannes, the brown-haired soldier angrily shouted, at that moment he seemed so furious, that his rage 'overflowed' from his reddish-brown eyes.

"Woah, woah!"

"Volga, chill down dud-"

"Chill down my ass!!"

Whatever Johannes wanted to say was interrupted by Volga's annoying yells.

"Damn... calm down dude, why you're so angr-"

"Shut up!!!"

"You... You're supposed to be my friend!!"

Volga shouted once again, and so, Johannes didn't have a chance to talk.

"Huh? what the hell man? I'm not understanding yo-"

"S h u t u p ! ! !"

Johannes tried one more time to speak with Volga, but he didn't even get a chance to do it.

"You're my friend!!"

"And you know well I would prefer being hurt, than breaking something... and of all things I could break, I broke a sword!!!"

Volga shouted visibly upset.

"We both as soldiers know how expensive a sword is!!"

"So why the fuck did you say this!?"

"..."

"..."

"What!? Aren't you going to say anythin-"

"..."

"Shut up Volga..."

"Hah? Why should-"

"Shut up."

Looking at Volga coldly, Johannes only repeated one small yet concise phrase.

"Haaaaaah~"

"I think you got too used to me."

"Wha-"

"I said shut the fuck up!!"

"..."

Hearing Johannes's menacing shout, this time, Volga stayed quiet.

"I think you're misunderstanding something here, Volga.."

"We may be friends..."

"But I am the vice commander!! And you're just the FUCKING army adjutant... your position may be high, but you can never disrespect your superior!!"

"And so... I'm here trying to be a good friend, and you start making a fucking scene?"

"..."

"I... I..."

Volga muttered with a quite ashamed look on his face.

"Keep it down Volga, I didn't finish it yet..."

"I know how important money is to you... but that doesn't mean you can suddenly start shouting like that..."

"But... but-"

"There is no but's my friend..."

"If someone who didn't like you heard this... it could be called as a case of insubordination!!"

"But-"

"Hear me out man!!"

"It got nothing to do with me that your shitty father had eight children, and barely takes care of anyone!"

"It's not my fault, and it's not the fault of anyone else..."

"..."

Johannes calmly explained as Volga looked down with a saddened expression.

"I'm not angry with you Volga, after all, you're like a little brother to me..."

"But remember, never get this angry with someone you don't know well."

"You never know, maybe you'll lose your job, and that's it..."

"But in the worst-case, you can end dying because of this rashness... and if you do, who will take care of your siblings..?"

"I... I, that was not what I meant with it, Johan..."

Volga muttered still looking at the ground.

"I know, Volga... I know..."

"But if you can... please, remember this lesson I wanted to teach you."

"Yes..."

Volga muttered with a depressing tone of voice.

"Good, good..."

Johannes said ruffling Volga's hair.

"..."

"..."

"Anyways! Let's not get too depressed! We should hurry up and get some good food!! You're too skinny for a soldier, man~"

"Huhum..."

"..."

"...thank you vice-captain..."

After some time walking, Volga softly muttered.

"You're welcome..."

...

..

.

"Hmm~"

"They are taking a lot more time than I thought..."

Bartolomeo, who was too embarrassed to meet them before, muttered leaning on a wall near the army refectory.

'Damn... I really should have talked with them before...'

'At this rate, we may reach late-'

While Bartolomeo was wondering if he did wrong in using a 'tactical retreat', he suddenly heard several footsteps, which interrupted his line of thought.

"...th..a...u...ice...cap..in..."

"..."

"Yo.....we..c...e..."

Bartolomeo could hear at least two people muttering as they approached the corridor he was currently in, and as soon they turned the corner, he immediately recognized them.

'Ahh, they are finally here!!'

"Johannes, Vol- huh?"

'Wait...'

'Why do they have that gloomy expression on their faces...?'

'It couldn't be..."

'Did someone die!?"

With a strangely pensive expression on his face, Bartolomeo wondered as he rubbed his chubby chin.

Sorry for the wait, my dear readers!! I wasn't lazing around or something... I swear!! Haha~
