Chapter 4: System Atrox

As Mathew was gaping with his mouth wide open whilst looking at the cape, almost letting drool fall onto the object that he handled with utmost care,

In another city around the outskirts, Oryo could be seen still enveloped by the dark slimy matter.

As a few hours went by there was still no reaction from Oryo, it was as if he had been put into an eternal sleep and couldn't wake up from the dream he was experiencing, these few hours turned into a full day which was already dangerous for someone with Oryo's constitution, however a small crack could be seen in the surface of the dark matter, which slowly over the days grew bigger and bigger until a whole week later it cracked open as a hand came out like a bird being born.

As Oryo stepped out of the matter a clear and distinctive change could be noticed by anyone, his body had gained a little more vitality to it and his face seemed more rosy, whilst his hair reached to his waist, however if there was anyone in the room they wouldn't be able to stay standing with the smell that Oryo was letting out it was if he had showered in monster sh*t.

As Oryo was getting used to his new body, he heard a voice which made him panic and look around the room but he couldn't identify where the voice was coming from, 'I'm up here' he heard , as he shot his head up to look at the ceiling which was Also empty.

He became confused until the voice said 'in your head you dim witted boy' with a tinge of annoyance coming from the voice, this revelation shocked Oryo as he quickly asked out loud ' WHAT ARE YOU AND HOW ARE YOU IN MY HEAD?!!' The voice stayed silent for a while until it said 'you may call me Atrox, I'm what you would call a system and I'm here to help you revive and carry on with the path that the necromancer of doom failed to reach the end of'.

As shocked as Oryo was, he was also as excited because he knew that this meant that even he gained evil power, it was power none the less and that he was chosen to become the protege of the necromancer of doom.

In curiosity he asked 'do you have the status thingy?' He was surprised as to what came up in-front of his eyes as he reached out his hand to try and touch it but ultimately failed to do so, he could see…

Oryo was shocked at what he was seeing, he had indeed awakened a power and it was necromancy the most vile and evil power one could possibly awaken as all it did was label you as a monster and possible heretic of the necromancer of doom.

The fact that the city he was currently in was dominated with light type powers was already bad enough to start with but the fact that he awakened necromancy was the topping off, he had to at least leave the city and go into the wilderness and decide what to do from there on.

As soon as he thought of that a 'ding' went of in his head,

Quest received

Escape the city without anyone finding out your power.

Reward: 100 exp

'Atrox are you there' he asked

'I am here but I will only be talking to you when necessary to preserve energy' said Atrox.
