Chapter 10 Recovery

In a white plane, Jin was standing there blankly as 7 people surrounded him. "Who are you?" Jin asked as he looked at him. "You should know, shouldn't you? We are the past inheritors of OFA." They responded as images began to appear within the white plane.

One by one he saw countless battles and experiences, all in one instant, but then he forgot it all. "As the past inheritors, although but a flicker of consciousnesses now, we can judge if you are worthy to be the inheritor, and we deem you unfit." They all stated as Jin looked at them in bewilderment.

"What do you mean unfit? I thought it was All Might's choice, to pick the inheritor." Jin said as he looked at them. "That may be so but we also know you copied the actions of the true inheritor, Izuku Midoriya." They all said as they looked at Jin.

"What you can read my memories now?" Jin asked as he looked at them. "You are One For All and One For All is you, till you pass it down, even then you'll have a connection with it so of course, we can see your memories since we are part of One For All." They explained as they looked at Jin.

"So what are you going to do?" Jin asked as he looked at them. "We will strip you of One For All and pass it on to that Izuku boy, and you will forget everything about us!" They said as the white plane suddenly turned black and began to engulf Jin. "NO, NOOO!" He screamed as he began to suffocate within the black sludge.

"HAAA!" Jin woke up with a jolt. He was currently in the nurse's office resting. 'It was all a dream.' He thought as he put his hand on his face.

"Are you okay?" Recovery Girl asked as she looked at him. "Ya, I just had a nightmare, by the way. What's the condition of my body?" Jin responded as he looked at Recovery Girl with curiosity.

"You're surprisingly fine." Recovery Girl said as she smiled at him. Jin felt relieved hearing that before he gulped down hard and asked: "What about Izuku."

Recovery Girl immediately began to frown, before she said "...It doesn't look good for him, he's currently in a coma, although he's stabilized it's estimated that he'll die within this year."

"Beep, beep, beep!"

Jin began to flatline after hearing this and Recovery Girl immediately rushed to his side. A second later though he was out of it as he said: "I am fine, don't worry, may I leave now?" Jin asked as he got out of the bed.

"You can leave if you want to, but it's best if you stay." Recovery Girl said with a pleading look. "I think it's better if I leave." Jin said before getting up, albeit a bit shakily.

He went to his class and grabbed his things, after that he left and went home. 'So it's been a week.' He thought as he looked at the date. 'It's magical what quirks can do but still, is there really no hope for Izuku?' Jin thought in dismay.

Jin had now lived with Izuku for over a year he was his family, and it hurt him deeply that Izuku was going to die for saving him. 'It's all my fault!' Jin thought before changing into something inconspicuous.

"Man have you heard yet what happened in U.A?"

"Ya, it was a disaster."

"Are they still doing the sports festival?"

People chattered as they walked the streets. Currently, Jin was also walking down the street as he tried to remember something. 'Where are they, where are they, where are they?' Jin thought as he continued to walk down the street.

"Got it!" Jin said excitedly as he had an idea. He immediately searched for something on his phone and ran to the train station. 'It should be around that place after I arrive I'll just ask around and hopefully I'll find the place.' Jin thought as the train continued to move.

Eventually, he reached his destination and went down a dark alley, where he found a gang of thugs. "Oi, kid! What are you doing here?" One of them asked as he grabbed his metal pipe.

Jin was about to open his mouth, but before he could even speak one of the thugs immediately threw a spike at him. "Does it matter boss? Let's just steal his money." The thug said as he began to throw multiple spikes at Jin.

Luckily for Jin, he had recovered more or less, so he could activate a portion of OFA. '2% should be enough.' He thought as he activated OFA.

Seeing that their friend had already started a fight the rest of the thugs came to attack him, but Jin simply dodged all their attacks and pummeled them to the ground.

"H-How are you so strong!?" A thug said in disbelief as he tried to run away. "Shut up! All I need you to do is to answer some of my questions and then I'll leave." Jin commanded as he deactivated OFA.

"Okay, okay, we'll answer whatever you ask." They said as they looked at Jin with pleading eyes. "Good, then are you drug dealers?" Jin asked.

Hearing this the thugs immediately thought Jin was trying to incriminate them. "No, no, no, we are law-abiding citizens, we don't deal drugs, of any kind!" The thug said as he stayed making X signs to indicate no.

"Then where can I find one?" Jin asked as he pulled down his sunglasses a bit and glared at the thug. "E-E-Ehhh Shie Hassaikai! They deal with drugs specifically quirk enhancing drugs. Although they overcharge a lot." The thug stuttered as he answered Jin.

'Bingo.' Jin thought as he got directions from the thug and walked off to the specified location. 'Good thing they didn't resist more or I wouldn't have been able to hold out.' Jin thought as his mouth leaked a bit of blood.
