The twins should be feared

Zheng Qiang nodded as he responded on the man's behalf, "Senior martial brother Dai owns a three-year-old sprinting wolf and I'm guessing it's that one."

As soon as he had finished speaking, one of the sprinting wolves who was obediently standing in a line with the others broke the line and enthusiastically came running over to Senior martial brother Dai's side.

Fu Jie couldn't help but be reminded of his own pet back in the real world; A big and fluffy chowchow that would always come running over towards him whenever he returned home and would not fail to knock him down with the big dog's strength. Sadly, when Fu Jie moved to his apartment, he was unable to bring his beloved chowchow with him, and hence, the dog was left behind in the main residence. The chowchow was already four years old and was named Chowchow because Fu Jie didn't want to be bothered being creative in naming it. Since it was a chowchow, it was named chowchow.

However, when Fu Jie saw the size of the sprinting wolf that had completely knocked the man over, he couldn't help but thank god in his heart that his chowchow wasn't this big or he would have certainly broken his back while playing around with it.

The man who had previously held no presence seemed to have suddenly been noticed by everyone and nobody looked away from the scene where he got licked by the sprinting wolf and his whole face was covered in the creature's saliva.

Fu Jie cringed at the sight and felt bad for the man.

Senior martial brother Dai patted the attention-seeking sprinting wolf's head and tried to get up as he finally unsealed his mouth to say something, "I'll be going with Ah Zhu."

Fu Jie guessed that the name Ah Zhu probably belonged to the sprinting wolf.

Elder Dayu nodded as he responded, "Sounds good. Take the twins with you."

From behind Fu Jie, running came two children who Fu Jie was yet to meet.

Ah Bai and Ah Lu went over to Senior martial brother Dai's side and smiled happily as they nodded in agreement.

Fu Jie, "Who are they?"

Chen Qiao, "That's Ah Lu and Ah Bai, they are Elder Dayu's servants."

"Servants?!" Fu Jie was a bit shocked since the two twins didn't really look like servants. They were dressed in the same clothes as the other disciples so it wasn't his fault that he thought these two were also disciples under Elder Dayu.

Senior martial sister Xu chuckled as she added, "Don't be fooled by their looks. They can possibly kill you in the blink of an eye."

Chen Qiao nodded, "They are probably a lot more deadly than any of us."

Senior martial sister Yao, "Of course they are. They were personally trained by Elder Dayu since a very young age. It would be more shocking if they weren't deadly."

Fu Jie had an indecipherable expression on his face as he heard this. He simply could not accept that these two children who looked to be still wet behind the ears were as deadly as these bunch of people claimed them to be.

There was no way... Right?

Ah Bai looked at the sprinting wolf with sparkling eyes filled with excitement as she asked Senior martial brother, "Can I touch him?"

Senior martial brother Dai who had not displayed a lot of emotions suddenly chuckled as he nodded and answered, "You can."

Ah Bai smiled brightly as her hand reached out to touch the soft fur of the creature, but before she could touch it, the sprinting wolf took a few steps back and tried to hide behind the man in fear.

Fu Jie almost wanted to laugh as he saw this. If this was his sprinting wolf that was as big as an elephant and still afraid of a four-foot girl, he would have most certainly been super embarrassed and wouldn't dare show-off such a cowardly pet. Ah Lu, the girl's brother who seemed to be more timid and calmer than the girl stepped forward and jumped directly on top of the sprinting wolf.

The sprinting wolf didn't even get the time to run before it felt the little devil sitting on top of him.

"Don't scare him too much," Senior martial brother instructed with a frown.

Ah Bai also jumped and climbed on top of the sprinting wolf that now looked as if it had run out of energy and was ready to pass out from fear.

Fu Jie didn't know what was happening, but thankfully, Chen Qiao explained the situation in a single sentence, "Sprinting wolves are spiritual beasts so they are afraid of people who have a higher level of cultivation than them."

Fu Jie, "The twins have a higher level of cultivation?"

Fu Jie had always thought that spiritual beasts had a high level of cultivation ever since they were born so this was something shocking.

Chen Qiao nodded, "I'm pretty sure the twins have a higher level of cultivation than you as well."

"..." Fu Jie didn't even know what his cultivation level was so there was no way he would be able to know if this was true or not.

In any case, he didn't want a pair of kids to be better than him so he had to speak up for himself, "I highly doubt that."

The other disciples chuckled as they heard this.

Senior martial sister Yao, "Do you want to challenge them?"

Fu Jie didn't know why, but his gut feeling told him to shake his head, avoiding a direct confrontation and for the first time, Fu Jie listened to his gut and did just that, "Since they are my Shizun's servants, how could I fight them?"

Senior martial sister Xu side-glanced at him and asked, "Are you afraid?"

Fu Jie scoffed as he heard this and he was almost about to curse, but he managed to stop his tongue from slipping and responded, "How could that be possible? They are still kids. It would be humiliating to be afraid of kids."

Chen Qiao broke out laughing as he patted Fu Jie's shoulder and spoke up, "When I first joined the sect, I used to share the same thoughts, but after being hanged naked upside down on the main sect entrance, my thoughts changed drastically."

"Hanged upside down... Naked?! " Fu Jie couldn't help but feel a bit shocked and confused.

Senior martial sister Yao chuckled as she spoke up, "Well, that was because you dared to offend them."

Chen Qiao sighed, "Those two devils should really not be provoked."

Now that being hanged upside down naked was mentioned, Fu Jie's thoughts also seemed to change and he no longer looked down on the twins. It was better for him to just accept it rather than experience it for himself. He had no plans of being hanged upside down naked so it was better for him to not offend the twins.

"Brother Xia, why don't you join us?" Ah Bai suddenly called out and it took Fu Jie a whole second to remember that Xia was his fake name.

He snapped his head at the girl who was sitting on top of the sprinting wolf and wondered if he had somehow offended the girl already.

"Are you gonna hang me upside down naked?"

"Eh?"

Everyone was suddenly shocked and Chen Qiao broke out laughing as he heard this.

Fu Jie had actually voiced out his thoughts by mistake!

Ah Bai looked taken back and when the shock had sunk in, she broke out laughing along with her brother as she mockingly asked, "What is brother Xia thinking?"

Fu Jie's cheeks started turning red with embarrassment as he shook his head and didn't dare give a reply.

"Just come on over! We won't hang you upside down naked. " Ah Bai giggled.

Senior martial brother Dai also turned his head to look at Fu Jie as he asked, "Do you want to go with us?"

Fu Jie gulped as he heard this question. He never thought this man would personally ask him to join them. In Fu Jie's eyes, this man was like a puppet without a soul or feelings so he would definitely not expect him to say anything or even notice Fu Jie.

Although Fu Jie was overwhelmed by the offer, he was still planning on refusing politely but before the words 'No need' could roll out from his tongue, he rolled on the ground instead due to a kick from Senor martial sister Xu who only said a single sentence, "Just go already!"

The kick was strong enough to send Fu Jie rolling over to the feet of the sprinting wolf who looked at the man curiously, probably wondering if it was still a man or if it was a ball.

Fu Jie heard people laughing at him and he suddenly didn't want to stand up. He was too ashamed to show his face but soon realized that he was wearing a mask and so he picked himself up with confidence.

This mask was really a lifesaver for him, or in this case, a facesaver for him.
