"Calm down!" Adelaida cut him off, her eyes widening at the sudden warning from her stepson, "He simply wishes to meet her. I don't believe he has any other intention. Anyway, dinner is at eight o'clock tonight. Make certain that you arrive on time."
"Fine," Bai sighed.
"And persuade your sister to come," Adelaida said, tucking her red locks behind her ear, "There will be repercussions if she doesn't."
She hung up before Bai could say something else. He would have thrown the phone on the floor if Lai hadn't opened the door and found him holding his phone in the air.
"Um," Lai raised an eyebrow, knowing that she had stumbled upon something, "Is everything okay, Mr. Ying?"

She closed the door and walked toward his desk. She heard him sigh as he put his phone on the desk and rubbed his eyes.
