A few hours later…
The deserted school stood still, an eerie silence enveloping its empty halls. The once bustling corridors were now devoid of life, the only sound is the faint echo of footsteps as Aiden and Ace walked through the abandoned building.
"Sigh, in the end, we still did it!" Ace cursed as they walked through the huge hall, "This is too extreme!"
"I didn't expect her to be this extreme!" Aiden nodded agreeing with his friend. He had heard of Miss White punishing students. In fact, he had even seen her punishments with his own eyes... However, he had never heard of her punishing her students with such a crazy punishment in this modern era. She was probably angry that he talked back.
"I didn't expect it to take this long. Seems like you will definitely be late for dinner," Aiden said.
"Of course, we would definitely miss dinner. After all, It's almost 5:00 by the way," Ace said after checking the time, "But wait, what do you mean by 'you'? Aren't you going home for dinner?"
"Nope, I am not…" Aiden said as he stepped out of the school gate.
"Then, where are you going to?" Ace asked.
"The library"
"The Library? What are you going to do there?"
"Research"
"Research? Is it about the magic awakening exams?"
Aiden merely nodded.
"But there is no need for you to go to the library. I can send you my research result!"
"Nope, no need. I will do it myself," Aiden said as he wrapped his hands around Ace's neck to assure him.
"But… why the library? Can't you use the internet? People go to the library only to learn new techniques that would help them!"
"Oh, I know. But trust me; it's the best place to also do good research!" Aiden exclaimed.
"Em, okay…" said Ace as he stared at the sun whose final rays illuminated the road.
"Either way, it's quite late," Ace said worriedly.
"I will be alright," said Aiden taking out his hoverboard.
******
Soon enough, Aiden and Ace split up as Aiden headed to the library whilst Ace headed home. As Aiden walked down the pedestrian walkway towards the library, he couldn't help but think about the subsequent events that he had been through since he entered this new world.
In fact, he could have used the hoverboard to travel faster to the library. However, he had decided to walk in order to think about what happened to him. By this time, he had already confirmed one thing. He wasn't on 'normal' earth.
However, he was still clueless as to how he got here. He had a hunch that it would likely be related to the dream that he had. After all, everything that happened to him happened after the dream. In fact, he was extremely sure that it was his appearance in the new world is related to the ball of light that he saw in his dream.
Maybe, he was transferred when he passed out whilst being attacked by the ball of light. However, if that was so, then he would have felt so normal. He clearly remembered waking up this morning feeling nothing strange. He didn't suddenly get healthier or anything like that. Instead, he just felt normal. Truth was, it was only after he got out from home that he realized that he had left the world he was familiar with.
Moreover, the fact that this new world looked exactly like his old world was, made it more difficult for him to notice yet.

Aiden continued to walk towards the library as he continued to think, trying to find out how he got here in the first place. He just realized one thing after the other as he continued to think about the matter.
At first, he realized that he had some clues pertaining to how he got to the world in the first place. His computer was destroyed, he had a strange dream in which he was attacked by a star, and then he woke up to see his room in mess.
All of these were definitely related to how he got here. Even so, he still couldn't find what connected all these events.
'Maybe, if I can find the connection between these events, I will know how I got here in the first place!'
Aiden thought.
*Wow... Wow... Wow*
The sound of the police siren suddenly interrupted Aiden's thoughts. Looking towards the source of the sound, which happened to be directly in the direction he was walking, he saw, a slightly bulky man with a grin on his face heading towards him on a hoverboard. Following the man were three police Aero cars.
"The board speed is insane!" Aiden exclaimed as he looked at the hoverboard. Some people may not know how fast the police Aero cars were however, he knew. In fact, normal Aero cars had no way of catching up to the speed of a police aero car. Only middle-class aero cars could match the speed of the police aero cars.
Truth was, Aiden had actually experienced the speed of a police aero car before. He had been picked by Ace's dad who happened to be a policeman after he was late to school about a week ago. Usually, riding a hoverboard to school took around five minutes. Even so, it was very fast compared to the normal car from the past which would take around ten minutes to get to school. The hoverboard only took about half of the total time to get there.
Yet, the police aero car was faster. And by faster, Aiden meant really fast. About two times the speed of the hoverboard. On that day, Aiden got to school about two minutes after he had left home.
That was the reason why Aiden couldn't help but be surprised when he saw the bulky man's hoverboard surpass the police's aero cars in pure speed. And by the looks of it, it seemed like the man was just toying around with the police.
"That must definitely be a super hoverboard!" Aiden exclaimed again after seeing that the man was just playing around with the police. He was sure that only a super hoverboard could do such a thing.
"But who is that man?" Aiden thought as he looked at the man well. After all, anyone capable of riding a super hoverboard was someone who was well-known in the community.
"Wait, isn't that Ghost face?" Aiden immediately paled when he saw the person riding the hoverboard. Ghost face was a notorious criminal known for stealing some of the most important things in the community. He was the leader of the Crazy Dogs gang. A gang made up of thieves who specifically carry out theft after they have been hired.
They didn't care about the clients' age or about how they get paid. All they want is to be paid after they did their jobs. Due to this, the Crazy dogs gang was very popular. As for their leader, he is even more frighteningly known for pulling off some of the most insane robberies ever.
"Get out my way, brat!" a voice suddenly echoed in Aiden's ears dragging him out of his daze. In front of him, about fifty metres away was Ghost face. Seeing this Aiden decided to move. However, what he didn't expect was the fact that Ghost face would close the distance between them in almost an instant!
By the time Aiden realized what was happening the hoverboard had already reached him; almost half a metre away from hitting him.
'Move! and grab'
A voice suddenly echoed in Aiden's ears. Without even realizing it, Aiden started to move; as he dodged the super hoverboard by a hair's length! However, he wasn't done, he immediately stretched his hand out grabbing Ghost face by the collar as he yanked him off the hoverboard.
Losing its controller, the hoverboard crashed into the building right next to the pedestrians' walkway producing sparks as it did.
As for Ghost face, he reacted almost instantly. He planted his feet on the ground whilst turning and sending a punch towards Aiden's face.
'Move, turn and hit!'
The voice echoed in Aiden's head again as he moved out of the direction of the punch by tilting his head slightly as he also sent a punch towards Ghost face's face.
'What a fast reaction!' Ghost face thought as he looked at Aiden's punch heading towards his face, "However, you are underestimating me if you think that you can hit me!"
Suddenly, moved his leg as he tackled Aiden to the floor by knocking him off his foot. Aiden immediately fell to the ground expecting to receive multiple attacks. However, he opened his eyes to see Ghost Face standing there with a grin on his face.
"You are quite strong by yourself. Why don't you join my gang?" Ghost Face said as he looked at the helpless teenager. This was the first time he had seen a normal kid able to follow up with his attacks. He would be a great asset if he was able to recruit him into his group.
