"Come on! Not again," Travis said helplessly., his eyes fixed on his foot. The reason why Travis was very angry was that he suddenly felt a familiar feeling. He noticed a huge teleportation array under his feet as he looked at his foot. They were being teleported to another place, again! However, a special power was being emanated from the teleportation array that restricted his movement, making him unable to escape from the array.
*Swish*
That was the last sound Travis heard as his vision went dark.
********
*Boom*
"Where the hell am I now?" Travis thought as he stood up. His vision was clouded making him unable to see really well. After a while, his vision became better as his dizziness and his clouded vision decreased. He then began to inspect his surroundings.
He noticed that he was in an alley. The alley was truly peculiar, It looked like a long tunnel and both ends led to a silent road. Yet what made this alley peculiar was the drawing on the buildings on each side of the alley. They were truly special. In fact, one could tell that they were very special the moment they saw it. On his right was a painting of a vivid white dragon soaring through the sky. It possessed a very righteous aura.
As for the drawing on his left, it was a vivid black dragon. that dragon unlike his fellow counterpart on the right wall displayed a vary sinister aura. The aura it displayed would make one's hair stand on the edge the moment they saw it.
However both drawings surprisingly cancelled out each other in the centre of the alley, thus, even though Travis was between these drawings, he didn't feel anything. However, his eyes were fixed on the black dragon. Travis felt a faint connection with that dragon. Even though it was faint, he was sure that he felt the connection. He definitely felt it.
"Ping, Ping, Ping!"
The sound of three consecutive pings drew Travis from his trance. He immediately turned to look at his ceremonial watch and sure enough, there was a message displayed on it.
After reading the message, Travis finally understood what the last trial was about. It turned out that the last trial was all about a battle royale. Yes, a battle royale. And also the rules were simple.
The participants were a total of fifteen people. They were supposed to get to the centre of the Death Raven. They were actually in Death Raven. Yes, they were transported here by the teleportation array. It seems that this was where they would be undertaking the trial.
The participants were all given a map. They were supposed to follow the instructions on the map and get to the centre of Death Raven. Also, they were supposed to eliminate any threat, that is they were supposed to fight against their friends. Supposedly, at the centre of Death Ravine stood a flag. They were to capture that flag.
Moreover, to ensure that all the participants got to the centre, they created a huge circle on the map. With the city's centre as the centre, they created a huge circle. The huge circle would shrink every minute. They were given a time limit of 10 minutes to Travel to the city's centre. As for those who ended out of the centre, they were disqualified.
Also, the first person to capture the flag was not necessarily the winner. Those who were stronger could challenge the person occupying the flag until the last person is left standing. As for the results they would be based on their performances. In short, It was a battle royale.
*********
After reading the rules, a trace of worry flashed through his eyes. He was very worried. It wasn't about the trial, instead, it was about his best friend, Jim. After all, Jim had given him his healing tablet. He was worried. Worried that someone would intentionally take advantage of the situation and attack Jim. As for an example of such a person, there was indeed someone, and Travis knew that person.
Travis then proceeded to look at the map given to him. According to the map, if Travis was to travel about four kilometres to the north, he would reach the centre. In fact, this trial wasn't only to test one's strength but their endurance too. Travis was very certain about that. After all, travelling for about five kilometres in ten minutes was something that the 'normal people' couldn't accomplish
But first, Travis needed to inspect his surroundings first. However, he had no idea how. But that was only until he saw the balcony in a distance. The building that the balcony belonged to was just a street away from where he had woken up. Moreover, it seemed to be facing north. So as a matter of fact, Travis decided to inspect his surroundings even better by using the balcony.
"How can the Death Ravine look so beautiful? I don't get it!" Travis frowned as he looked north. He was currently on the balcony and was looking north. In fact, the scene in front of Travis was appealing to the eyes. However, Travis didn't have the time for that. Merely, Travis knew one thing, and that was that The Death Ravine didn't have buildings. It was a desolate and abandoned place on earth. This was because the ravine was actually located in the northern region. In fact, it was known to be a haunted land due to rumours surrounding it. However, not only did the Death ravine Travis was in contain Buildings, there was no human there. Not a single one.
In that case, could this mean... Hehe, I get it now" Travis seemed perplexed for a moment but, he suddenly smiled. He then jumped off the balcony and landed on the roof of the building in front of him. However, the moment he landed, he revealed a complacent smile.
'It worked. Well, I see' Travis thought as he chuckled slightly.
