"Hey wake up! We are about to start the last test!", Travis heard a familiar voice in his ears.
Slowly parting his eyelids, Travis was welcomed with a blurry scene as his eyes tried to adjust to the sudden light.
"Oh, so it's you", Travis said excitedly as he opened his eyes. He just woke up to see Jim looking at him with a worried face. Seeing that Travis had awoken a happy smile could be seen on Jim's face. One could tell that he really cared about Travis.
"Why do you always pass out after Travelling through a teleportation array?" Jim asked, his voice filled with compliant.
"Hehe. I don't know", Travis let out a slight chuckle and said. He also found it strange himself. Maybe it is because it's his first time using the teleportation arrays. Maybe his body hasn't fully adapted to the change.
"But that doesn't mean you should be careless," Jim said.
"I know, I know," Travis said as he stood up. "What is going on here?" He asked after he stood up. He noticed that they were in what seemed like a huge warehouse. However, there wasn't any kind of things stored here. The room was painted white and was very huge. In fact, the main reason why Travis called it a warehouse was because the Building they were in was very huge, to say the least.
The building measured at least two hundred metres in width and the walls were about forty metres tall. Moreover, there were only eleven students in this room and that included Travis himself.
"I don't know. The third mission hasn't been disclosed yet. But at least, we have all gathered here", Jim said, shrugging his shoulders.
Hearing what Jim said, a frown suddenly appeared on Travis' face. This wasn't because of what Jim said but rather that Travis could feel a strong killing intent directed at him. From that Travis could tell that someone among his classmates truly hated him. At least the killing intent was that strong. But who was that?
Taking a glance over his shoulders, Travis couldn't help but be surprised.
'It's him?' Travis couldn't help but breathe in a mouthful of cold air. That was because the person who was currently looking at Travis with strong Killing intent was none other than Lance Hart.
The main reason why Travis sucked in a mouthful of cold air was that he knew that his strength was insufficient to fight against Lance. Maybe, he believed at first but now. Now, he was certain that he was weak, very weak. He thought he would be so strong with that pretty training that he was doing with Drey, but now he was wrong.
He now knew that even though he was very strong, he wasn't strong enough to fight against the strongest people in his class. He wouldn't win against someone like Jared more or less Lance. It was likely that he was able to run escape from Lance because his attack took him by surprise. He now knew the repercussions of his actions were very dangerous. Even though he was naturally smart, he didn't manage to figure this out.
"What is wrong with you?" Jim asked. Travis had been standing there motionless for almost a minute now. He was worried, worried that what he said made Travis that way.
"Oh, I am okay. I am more surprised about how you always passed the tests," Travis said snapping out of his daze.
"Oh, that. It is actually simple, I was in Bryan's group. We were the first group to qualify," Jim said.
"Oh, I see" Travis nodded. He understood why Jim passed now. It seemed that Jim landed into a good group and didn't have to do anything to win. At least that was better than Jim joining Lance's team. Travis was sure that with Lance's conceited behaviour, he would definitely attack Jim if he was to land in his team.
"Is Bryan really strong?" Travis asked Jim quietly. This was really important to him as he wanted to confirm what Duane and Jared told him.
"Oh, He is really, really strong! He is the strongest person I have seen in my life!", Jim immediately whispered back with an excited voice.
"Are you sure?", Travis asked, casting a glance at Bryan who had his arms folded on his chest fifty metres away from them.
"Hm, why would I lie to you? He is very strong. Far stronger than Lance!", Jim said.
"Wait what? Are you sure about that? Okay, compared to Lance, how strong would Bryan really be?" Travis asked.
"Hm, Comparing Lance to Bryan is simply unacceptable! It's like comparing an ant to that of a god! It just doesn't seem reasonable", Jim exclaimed.
"I see"
Travis merely nodded his head. It seems that what Duane and Jared said about Bryan was true. But how strong is Bryan? Travis wanted the answer to this question in particular. 'Maybe, I would see that in the next test,' Travis guessed, not knowing his guess was especially true.
"I also want to know how you passed the test..." Jim said with a curious face.
"Oh, nothing really happened. I just..." Travis explained what happened to him to Jim.
After Jim heard Travis' story, he couldn't help but gasp. Even though he was in a group, He did basically nothing! However, not only did Travis help the team, He even had to fight against someone with an epic creature.
"Hey Travis," Travis heard a voice call out to him. Turning to the source of the voice, a smile quickly appeared on Travis' face. That was because the source of the sound was none other than Duane. It seemed that they had already arrived here a while now.
"Hey Travis, I thought we weren't going to see you until the end of the trails," Duane said with a slight smile on his face.
"I also thought the same," Travis smiled embarrassedly.
"There is no need to be embarrassed, haha", Jared suddenly said as he burst out laughing.
"Well, there is! I got you now! what did you mean by what you said to me!?" an angry voice suddenly sounded across the whole room. Moreover, the voice was filled with so much anger that it even made the walls shake visibly.
'Crap!', sensing the sound, Travis couldn't help but frown. Travis was sure that he knew the person who shouted. Surely enough, after seeing who that was, Travis let out a sigh.
This was because Sarah was currently walking towards him with angry steps. She was the one who shouted earlier. This quickly drew the attention of the other people around. In fact, all the people in the room turned to look at them.
