"Would you care to explain?"
Jared directed those words to Rico, glowering. However, the other party did not show any sign of repentance even after he was confronted by what he did.
"Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I am concern, you are the one who owed me an explanation."
Rico replied with a nonchalant attitude and before Jared could even think of saying anything to rebut his words, he added,
"Why don't you do the explaining instead?"
I noticed that Jared balled his hands into a fist when he heard the challenging tone at the edge of the other party's voice.
But almost immediately, he regained his cool when Harvey placed a hand over his shoulder.
"It was not my fault that you are not around this morning when I brought her with me. If you arrived earlier, you would be notified about it promptly."
Jared finally mustered the composure to give Rico a flat answer. However, not before letting out a deep and exasperated sigh.
