Chapter 4:  journey to the valley of battle

2 hours have passed since Henri was given his mission on returning the Princess, we find him a few miles away from the kingdom and sitting underneath a tree lost! He takes another drink from his gourd. Just then he is visited by his spiritual advisor, the Sage.

What is now? Henri says sitting down with his eyes closed and his legs crossed. You know I don't like being disturbed when I'm meditating.

Meditating is that what you're  calling it now the sage says. We both know you're drunk and about to take a nap.

Heneri then opens his eyes and looks at the sage; he's smiling at him.

Your about, cheery as normal henri says to him in a muggish tone... I'm sure you didn't travel here just to nag me, he says yawning.  So what do you want? He asks.

The sage smiles. As a spiritual advisor, it's my duty to inform my students with information.

And what would that be? Most wise one henri asks sarcastically folding his arms.

It's about your current mission the sage says to him. King Julius is not a man of his word, for he is a follower of mannath.  Four years ago Julius struck a deal with Orak the dragon of wonders to be Rich forever; Orak granted the king his request by making him immortal and giving him an annual supply of 666 tenths of gold. The gold gets delivered by men dressed in black robes

Men in black robes Henri says as he opens his eyes, that sounds like a Dark Guild. Haha this just might get interesting he says as he takes another drink from his gourd.

The sage continues; The only thing Orak asked in return was a human sacrifice. So Julius gave his virgin daughter to the dragon as well as his wife as payment. According to accounts, this was done through a dragon attack upon the kingdom of Julius by Orak. Orak was said to have caused massive chaos and hysteria throughout the Kingdom. He set buildings on fire and killed many residents, decreasing the kingdoms population. It was during the chaos when Orak was able to snatch the princess and take her back to his castle where she's been held captive ever since. this ordeal occured four years ago when Orak attacked the kingdom of Julius.

What a good bedtime story hennri says as he sips from his gourd. He then lights a joint inhales and exhales.

Im sure that Julis collected the money from Queens life insurance policy as well Hennri says as he takes another puff and continues on. Then stages a dragon attack to have his daughter taken, killing 2 birds with one stone... not to mention sacrificing thousands of knights to Orak. Does that sound about right to you.. Oh wise one he asks the sage.

Yes Knight of Demons the sage says to him.

What type of man slays his own lover, then sells his own daughter just for wealth? Henri asks as he continues to smoke 

I told you already A man whose eyes are filled with greed he tells the demon knight. For one  cannot serve 2 masters. He goes on to say like you have stated Knight of demons; for Julius has sent thousands of the sons of man to be sacrificed to the Dragon. And you are no different. He says to Henri. 

Is that so henri says grinning. ok so where is this valley of battle, and valley of death. I'm just itching to meet this Dragon of Wonders. Henri says as he takes the last sip of his gourd. With a name like that, he must be strong. 

For the Valley of Battle is located 60 miles southwest from this current location, and the valley of Death is 26 miles from the Valley of Battle. The sage informs the dark knight.

Hmm so this journey should take me about twenty four hours Henri says to the sage. As he sips.

I wouldn't be too brash, knight of Demons. The sage says to Henri. Just because you are far faster and stronger than the average man, remember that even you still have your limits he says to him.

Henri remains quite.

Now. The valley of battle lays just southwest from here The sage says pointing in the direction. 

So whats the deal with this valley? With a name like that i just know im sure to encounter many mighty foes. Henri says.

The valley is home to many mythical creatures. Such as orges and trolls. But the valley is also home to a vicious bloodthirsty demon named Rath. Rath is in control of 20,000 lion like men demons stand 9.9ft tall. Their strength, speed and stamina is like that of giants and their combat is like that of the most ferocious beast.

 Their leader Rath, is a lion as big as a giant. He has a very mighty jaws capable of crushing skulls and snaping bone with ease. His teeth are very strong and sharp as well rivaling that of any sword. His paws are massive, capable of breaking the strongest of any tree. And his claws matches the beast's teeth. The beast boasts a mighty tail as well able to break stone and trees as well.

The Valley of death is home to Rabdos the Demon dog. Like Rath, Rabdos is also very large. His bite is very mighty capable of crushing the toughest stone, the Demon  can also breathe fire. 

Whats a demon without a little fire right.

Do not underestimate the Demon Rabdos Dark Knight for it will be your down fall. For it may not sound like much but Rabdos is a very formidable demon. For he wanders in the valley where light does not exist. For in the dark Rabdos can see. He also has a very powerful sense of smell able of smelling the smallest piece of something hundreds of miles away. If Rabdos gets your sent, you' ll never be able to escape. The sage says to Henri.

Maybe for a regular knight, but not for knight with a demon. Now if you excuse me, he says as he yawns and turs to look at the sun. It seems like the sun will be fading soon, and i want to a nap before my quest, besides I work better in the night anyway, 

The sage just stands there looking at the dark knight.

Hennri opens 1 eye. You gonna watch me as i sleep now? Do you have something better to do gol wise one.

If you request The sage says before he vanishes and 

Thank you Henri says, i thought he'd never leave now tim to finish this nap Henri says as he closes his eyes and falls asleep under a tree just as the sun is setting. 

Hours later The dark knight awakens from his slumber and it is pitch black outside, the only light is coming from the full moon in the night sky.

Now that's what I needed, he says as he stands and stretches. What a beautiful night he says he gazes into the skys. Whoa, just look at how big the moon is he says as he reaches for his gourd and takes a swig from it. Ahhhhhh.now then, lm off he says as he dashes away from the tree he was napping under. 

So the sage said that the Valley of Battle was 60miles Southwest from here. That should take me about eight hours, but thats only by foot. If i was to fly, I could be there in about four hours. 

"Wings of the demon sin of WRAITH your aide is needed!" He says. Suddenly 6 bat like wings sprout on his back and he takes flight
