Mew had left the gym behind as he, for the first time since he had hatched, entered a big mountain. Mew encountered a strange man in a white coat, but chose to ignore him as he was too excited for his taste.
Mew flew through the tunnel, encountering a few Zubat and even a big Golbat who stuck close together, hanging from the ceiling with big yawns escaping their mouths every now and then.
Finding it a very strange position to sleep in, Mew copied their behavior, hanging from the ceiling as well after adopting the same outward appearance as the other Zubat. Seeing everything upside down, Mew swung back and forth, bumping against more than a few Zubat.
The Zubat shrieked in annoyance at Mew, but after Mew changed back, the Zubat became quiet, docile even, feeling the existential dread that was naturally felt. After all, they were in the presence of their ancestor. Becoming as still as stone, the Zubat kept their mouths closed as if they tried to become air. They hoped Mew would just carry on and leave them in peace, though Mew wasn't leaving quite yet.
Mew drew closer, pulling on their strange leathery wings. Finding the feeling quite pleasant, Mew ducked his head beneath it, startling the Zubat whose wing was used as a head cover.
The Zubat trembled in anxiety and breathed a sigh of relief when Mew became bored and moved on to the Golbat, the leader of the swarm.
Golbat had seen it happen and had been happy Mew didn't disturb him, yet now as Mew closed in on him, he appeared to begin crying any second now.
Mew closely observed the wide open mouth of the Golbat, poking at the four sharp fangs protruding out of the corners. Mew even daringly put his head inside Golbat's mouth, curious of what the inside might look like.
Finding nothing interesting, Mew left the Zubats and Golbat to their own devises. The Zubat and Golbat sighed in relief and quickly moved a bit further away from the direction Mew had left towards. They hoped Mew wouldn't come back any time soon.
Mew happily hummed as he spotted the same type of pokemon as in the Gym, a Geodude. He followed it closely. The Geodude happily talked with another Geodude about their day and if something interesting had happened. Like if they had found a delicious rock to eat.
The other Geodude mentioned about a strange Pokémon that had appeared more often than normal. Mew listened closely as it sounded fun. Deciding to go towards the spot the Geodude mentioned, Mew flew deeper inside the cave.
Not long after, as Mew flew throught the cave at an incredible pace, Mew spotted the Pokémon the Geodude had been talking about. It was a completely pink pokemon with a curled tail, little yet big ears and it seemed to jump weightlessly through the air.
It was a Pokémon known as Clefairy.
As more and more Clefairy gathered, Mew instinctually followed them, as it always seemed so much fun when Pokémon gathered in groups. It always appeared like some sort of happy gathering and Mew loved to see such things as he seemed to grow bored very quickly. Following the Clefairy, Mew couldn't wait to see where they were going.
