Chapter 74 - Answer carefully!

Demons beasts that had stopped from the pressure started running towards the Glory City again. They wanted to climb the sword, but the moment their hands or feet touched, a light flickered, and they got burned.

Sounds of wailing rose from all over the place; the shrieks reached the ears of everyone in Glory City, goosebumps crept upon their body.

Some of those watching winched seeing it, but the beasts didn't stop. They climbed on top of each other before finding short gaps between the swords and jumping through them. The only difference was before, where there were hundreds of beasts, there was only one.

Tatsuya's voice echoed in their ears, 'For the next few days, this will be your training ground.'

Tatsuya waved his hand, and tens of thousands of swords, sabers, pikes, lances, axes, hammers, sledgehammers appeared on the ground right outside the gate.

'Take what you like.'

Tatsuya crossed his arms and stood straight without moving; as long as they were fighting, he will have to stand here. As moral support.

One by one, people started running towards the demon beast; some took the weapons, some didn't.

He looked towards the towering figure in front of him and spoke, "Why so many weapons?" He knew Tatsuya would be able to hear him. Usually, a transformation like this also enhanced other senses.

A smile of understanding appeared on Nie Li's face. He jumped down from the wall merging with shadow devil and disappeared.

Tatsuya looked at everyone running towards the small gaps where the demon beasts were crossing over. At first, they started fighting with full force, annihilating those demon beasts. But, after a while, they began to slow down.

Lu Piao looked at the demon beast's corpse, fallen in from of him with confusion.

Xiao Xue killed the one she was fighting before going beside Lu Piao, "Why did you stop?"

Lu Piao looked at her, baffled, "I...I thought this was going to be hard! like that epic battle, blood and sweat will flow, but this is..."

Xiao Xue understood his feelings; she was also perplexed, "Too easy, right?" They had always thought outside was dangerous, and the most dangerous thing was the beast tide. They were standing in front of one, but it was no different than a walk in the park.

In that instant, a silver rank snow wind ape jumped towards them, punching with all his powers. Lu Piao didn't even bother to look at him and used the sledgehammer in his hand to squash the demon beasts. He sighed, in a fake exasperated manner, "This is not what I was expecting."

Xiao Xue looked at him with sparkling eyes, "That was so cool!" She never saw this side of Lu Piao.

Du Ze was killing one demon beast after another with great diligence, but he had a feeling rising inside his heart that he never thought would. It was a pity for these demon beasts. He felt sorry for them.

Nie Li was wiping out groups of demon beasts one after the other. Unlike others, he who had lost everything in the past life hated these demon beasts the most.

Before long, food stalls appeared. The war became a lot more festive. Tatsuya also created some swords to make large platforms for the public to stand and watch on.

Miyuki standing on his shoulder with Xiao Ning'Er and Yu Yan, smiled while looking at the scene, "This feels so wrong."

Ning'Er nodded hastily in agreement, "This is not how a beast tide should be."

Yu Yan almost didn't believe what she was seeing, "I didn't think this was possible." She looked towards Tatsuya; it was because of him that it was possible. He was only Legend Rank, but his power had absolutely surpassed those standards. This was when she knew he wasn't using his truly broken powers.

"How did you do it?" she was very curious as to how he was able to surpass the limits. She was mostly busy cultivating, trying to restore her powers. So, she couldn't always be beside him all the time. She thought something happened when she wasn't there.

Xiao Ning'Er also stared at him, hoping he would answer.

Miyuki was shocked by hearing the question; it made her realize she didn't know. She also had the Astral God Spirit, but she was sure she couldn't use as much power as Tatsuya was able to.

Tatsuya's voice echoed inside them their head, 'Its the power of bloodline; it allows me to draw out a soul's powers. It allowed me to control the thunder gods sword and draw out more of Bahamut's powers.'

Miyuki knew the best what kind of power the Astral Gods wielded; it always took a toll on her if she used them for too long.

"What about the toll?"

'The bloodline also gives an insane amount of stamina; I haven't tested the limits. But, going for a week like this shouldn't be hard.'

Miyuki shook her head with a smile, 'worthy of 1 billion points, even empty it has quite a lot of benefits.' only Tatsuya could hear that.

She looked at the scene in front of her. There were colossus swords in front of her and demon beasts on both sides of it. On one side, they were alive, while towards their side, there were only corpses.

The scale at which Tatsuya could control his powers made her feel inadequately armed for a beast horde. In Leviathan form, she might be able to bring out most of its power if there was a sea nearby.

She could use Shiva's power to create a tall wall, but that would lower the temperature all around. It might even give an advantage to these demon beasts since they were all snow wind demon beasts.

"I am thinking of merging with Ifrit." She said out loud. She wanted more firepower in case of emergency.

Yu Yan approved her decision; from what she knew, Ifrit controlled fire. In a situation like this, against these demon beasts, it would be perfect.

Ning'Er had Garuda even a situation like this; she had great destructive powers. The reason why she and Miyuki were not fighting was that they had reached the Legend Rank.

They heard Tatsuya's voice filled with disagreement, 'I suggest you awaken your bloodline.'

Miyuki knew he was talking about buying a bloodline, but she rejected that idea.

She shook her head, "Not yet." she sat down on Tatsuya's shoulder before she started absorbing Ifrit.

Looking at Miyuki's defiant actions, Tatsuya could only sigh inwardly; he couldn't understand why Miyuki rejected a bloodline so adamantly.

Oh well! he could think of different ways to increase her powers.

Yu Yan curious floated in front of Miyuki; she wanted to watch how ifrits powers were different from hers.

Somewhere else,

Shen Xiu was walking towards the peak point of a large slope. From here, the view of Glory City and the area in front of the walls were clear. A group of men was standing at the highest point of the slope, watching the battle.

She looked towards Tatsuya, whose giant figure was visible from even here.

A smile appeared on her face, "do you still want to try and assassinate him?" her words echoed on the slope.

Two of them took off their hoods; they were Long Sha and Gui Sha.

Both of them had a somber expression on their faces.

Everything had gone against all their expectations; they thought the Beast tide would be able to do much damage to Glory City. But even when most of Glory City's leaders and head family members were busy with Abyss Prison Realm. Nothing was going their way.

Long Sha glared at her before breaking the silence, "You didn't say he was this strong?"

Shen Xiu smiled sweetly while looking at Tatsuya as if watching her lover with pride, "He even surprised me."

Gui Sha spit seeing it, this act might fool others, but they who have lived for more than hundred of years could tell the poison her eyes were really spewing.

Long Sha frowned, "Since we can't assassinate him, then we will just assassinate the others."

Shen Xiu looked at them before nodding and smiling, "Before that, tell me, can your dear master defeat him?"

A chill spread across their body after hearing that question.

Long Sha confidently replied to Shen Xiu, "Of course, our master is stronger." He didn't know if the Demon Lord would be that strong after he becomes a demigod. Knowing that Shen Xiu might be a double agent if they answered otherwise, she might kill them to save herself from that guy. He had no choice but to sound confident.

Shen Xiu looked at them intently.

Long Sha and Gui Sha's shoulders tensed; they weren't sure if she wouldn't attack them in the next second.

Shen Xiu chuckled, "Well, I will believe you. I have no choice but to believe if I want to kill him."

Long Sha let out a breath of relief; he tried to control as much as of his expressions he could, "Since he is guarding the front, then we will attack from the inside."

Shen Xiu looked at him like she was watching an idiot, "I hope you have a good plan; you will reach his striking range."

Long Sha glanced at Gui Sha, who took out a blue stone from his ring.

"We could use this to create a channel to the Abyss Realm. It would generate a piercing attack. With high levels of the Glory City gone and other forces busy with the beast tide. This will make sure they suffer great damages."

Shen Xiu gazed at the stone before using soul force to take it from Gui Sha's hand. She brought it closer to her face with a bright smile on her face, "Perfect. I will do everything in my power to help you."
