Chapter 41 - Top 4

At the end of the fourth round, the matches of Day 1 also came to an end. Of thousands of Fighters and demon spiritists, the number of participants left was 128.

Tomorrow, the numbers will be cut down further to only 16.

On the streets of Glory City, a group of people was walking. Leading them was a man with a large build with blond hair covering half his face and sharp eyes. He was Yun Hua, a deacon of the dark guild.

He got the news from the sacred family that the Glory City was holding a tournament to show off the powers of their younger generation. He wanted to find out more about these people because of the scene he saw in the Orchid City Ruins. Although they had clues, they found nothing more.

"Deacon, those children are too strong. Even fighters are nearly as strong as a demon spiritist." Gold 1 spoke. He was tensed after seeing the fights, the kid was far too strong. Even they won't be a match for some.

Yun Hua glanced at things around, "We need to tell the leaders, Demon Lord is in seclusion, but Lord Gui Sha or Lord Long Sha could come."

Gold 2 sighed, "What are Lords going to do?" He was already pessimistic about the situation. All of a sudden, Glory City was becoming stronger and stronger. He felt other than Demon Lord no one could do anything.

Yun Hua glanced at him, "Only those children are stronger because their training methods are different. We need to take those methods and, our Dark Guild will become much stronger. Anyway, the High-End power of Glory City hasn't increased. Lords can deal with them."

Gold 2 said, "But, Ye Mo is in the city too."

He continued, "Two days later, during finals, everyone's attention would be on that. We don't need winners. We can take those who lost. They would know the training methods."

"Deacon, look there." Gold 1 pointed in a direction.

Yun Hua's eyes went in the same direction. He saw a boy with two girls on his side. When he saw a ginger-haired girl, his eyes flashed. He saw her defeating Shen Fei. The other two were the ones they were investigating.

For some reason, the closer he got, he felt his hairs rising. Once they were by his side, he felt his breath stop. Only when they passed by his side and went away was he able to breathe again.

Tatsuya, Miyuki, who had just passed by the members of the Dark Guild, looked towards Ning'Er. Ning'Er had an embarrassed look on her face.

Miyuki chuckled seeing her, "You scared them."

Ning'Er stammered, "I...I didn't mean to."

Tatsuya patted her head, "Don't worry, You just broke through Black Gold. You will control the power soon."

Ning'Er had a small smile on her face, "Yeah!!" She was already one step away from Black Gold after defeating Shen Fei. She felt like some weight was lifted and broke through to Black Gold in one go.

She couldn't control her powers, she was the third person in the younger generation to become Black Gold.

Only Tatsuya and Miyuki became Black Gold before her.

Miyuki looked back at the dark guild members, "Finally, we could meet one or two leaders!"

"Then, all this was worth it."

Suddenly, Tatsuya stopped.

Ning'Er, Miyuki looked at him with confusion, "Tatsuya?"

Tatsuya looked towards the Sacred Family, "That Shen Xiu."

Shen Hong was sitting on the chair. Below him, Shen Xiu, Shen Ming, and other family elders were standing.

His eyes went to Shen Xiu, "I heard you broke through Black-Gold?"

Shen Xiu stepped forward and bowed, "Yes, Patriarch!"

Shen Hong nodded, "Good! with this power of our Sacred Family increased. But, how did you breakthrough so soon?" He knew her talent. She shouldn't be able to breakthrough so fast.

Shen Xiu looked down, "I had help from Tatsuya of City Lord's Mansion."

Shen Hong narrowed his eyes, "In return?"

Shen Xiu said, "Patriarch, he spoilt our plans for Ye Ziyun and Winger Dragon Family. I thought he might be the Lecherous type so, I decided to seduce him. He thinks I am in love with him because of that he helped me."

Shen Hong stared at her, "Helped you? How?"

Shen Xiu took out a book from her ring, "He improved my cultivation technique. He said that this will bring out my talent the best."

Shen Hong took the book from her hand and started reading. Soon, he felt he had some insight. He wanted to go to seclusion. If he understood the improvements, he might breakthrough Legend Rank.

He nodded while suppressing his excitement, "Very good!! You did well."

Shen Xiu just kept bowing, "Everything for the Sacred Family!"

Shen Hong looked at others, "Did something else happened in my absence."

Shen Ming looked at him, "There is a boy from Heavenly Marks Family. He revealed about Scarlet Sunburst Inscription Patterns because of that, our family reputation took a hit."

Shen Hong glared at him, "you can't take care of one boy? Look at Shen Xiu she took care of that boy."

"Alchemy Association is protecting him and Heavenly Marks Family." He wanted to say, he couldn't seduce Nie Li like Shen Xiu.

Shen Hong looked at the book, "Then ask those from the Dark Guild to take care of him. With this, I need some time before stepping into legend. When the time comes, even Alchemy Association would think before going against us."

Shen Xiu's mouth twitched. She wanted to laugh but, she couldn't.

The Next Day Top 16 came out.

Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'Er, Lu Piao, Du Ze, Nie Li, Wei Nan, Zhu Ziangjun, Zhang Ming, Xiao Kuang, Xiao Yang, Shen Ning, Shen Xiao, Chen Linjian, Huyan Lanruo, Long Yu, Xiao Xue.

And The Next Day,

Tatsuya, Miyuki, Shen Xiu were looking at the Top 4.

Ye Ziyun, Xiao Ning'Er, Du Ze, Nie Li.

Ye Ziyun, who was standing in the arena couldn't help but be nervous. She was too excited, her Father and Grandfather were both watching. She wanted to become the champion but, she also knew everyone in the top 4 was strong.

Du Ze was standing in the arena with a firm expression. This tournament meant a lot to him. Nie Li was from a small aristocratic family, Him, Lu Piao and, others were commoners. Because of this tournament, they were getting popular.

Once this tournament was over, he would get everything he ever wanted. His family would rise, so would others. They were creating a new history.

He wanted to give it his all and win. As soon as the match started, he merged with Abyss Tiger.

Ye Ziyun who saw this also merged with her snow queen.

Du Ze didn't waste time with words. He clawed towards her with full force, Ziyun could feel the air pressure before it even reached her.

She made a wall of ice to stop his advance.

Du Ze seeing the ice wall in front of him added even more force in his attack. His attack tore apart the wall but, his eyes shrank seeing the icicles behind the wall. He hastily retreated backward only to find Ye Ziyun attacking him with an ice sword in her hands.

He stopped and forcefully turned his body and punched the sword. He was pushed away by the force. Even Ye Ziyun has pushed away.

Ye Ziyun raised one hand towards Du Ze, "Blizzard!!"

Du Ze whose sight was affected went on the defensive. Suddenly icicles started appearing in all directions, Attacking him. Cuts started appearing on his body, even the defense of abyss tiger couldn't stand it.

Just when he wanted to attack his body froze in place. Soon, the blizzard disappeared and, Ye Ziyun appeared in front of him, "I...Why can't I move." He wanted to move but couldn't.

Ye Ziyun was breathing heavily but, her eyes were shining, "I froze your blood, your insides."

Du Ze had an expression of defeat on his face, "I lost!!!" Shortly his expression changed to a determined one, "I will win next time."

Cheers filled the whole arena.

"Damn!!! what just happened...!!"

"Ye Ziyun!!! Ye Ziyun!!! Ye Ziyun!!!"

"She is so beautiful!!!!"

Ye Ziyun looked at the surrounding cheers with a big smile on her face. She looked up towards where her Father and Grandfather were sitting.

She felt she could see the pride in their eyes. Even her father had a smile on his face.

Ye Mo was rubbing his beard while looking at Ziyun, "She has grown well!"

Ye Zong had a smile with relief on his face, "Rou'Er would be very happy to see her."

Ye Mo nodded in agreement, "You should also stop keeping her away from you."

Ye Zong looked sad, "Yeah, I should talk to her. I don't know if she will forgive me."

Lu Piao, Nie Li, and others were standing looking at this.

"Can't believe even Du Ze lost, what did she do?" Lu Piao was truly curious how Ye Ziyun won.

Nie Li was gazing at her with a smile, "She used blizzard to block his eyesight, then attacked him with icicles to create injuries. Then, she used those injuries to freeze his insides and making them fragile. His body instinctively stopped him from moving."

Lu Piao patted Nie Li's shoulder, "Man!! you are the last one left. Don't lose."

Nie Li gazed towards Xiao Ning'Er. Others might not be able to tell but, he could tell she had reached Black Gold. Without the power of Law, he might not be able to win.
