Chapter 40 - Ning'Er vs Shen Fei

Shen Xiu peeked towards Ye Mo when she heard that. Seeing him not react to it, she sighed with relief, "You promised to only act against the elders."

Miyuki thought while looking at the arena as if trying to find someone, "You know, your younger generation are poisonous to Glory City."

Shen Xiu bit her lip, she couldn't deny that "I will take care of them."

Tatsuya closed his eyes as if thinking about something, "Ok! when you reach legend rank, we will leave them to you."

Her words reminded him of something. Main Mission was to deal with the Sacred Family. It never said how. He wondered if making Shen Xiu the Matriarch of the Sacred Family would mean completing the mission.

Ning'Er was walking towards the arena. It was already 3rd round, in the first two rounds, both her opponents were defeated in one hit.

But, this match was very important to her, because her opponent was Shen Fei. Before the Sacred Family took away their business and used that to blackmail their family. In the end, her family decided to agree to their proposal, she was told she would have to marry Shen Fei. Although Tatsuya and Miyuki helped her, she was never able to get away from that powerlessness.

The one that Shen Fei had integrated with, is an extremely powerful Scarlet Black Tiger demon spirit. The Scarlet Black Tiger is an extremely frightening demon beast. This demon spirit was hunted by the Patriarch of the Sacred Family himself. It's a 1-star Black Gold rank demon beast, therefore, extremely strong. Strong enough to allow Shen Fei's strength to soar several times.

Looking at his demon spirit made Ning'Er realize just how strong was Garuda. Unlike her opponents before they had weak demon spirit but she didn't think anything. Shen Fei on the other hand was the Heir of Sacred Family. His demon spirit should be one of the strongest yet it was nothing in front of Garuda. Unlike other demon spirits, you couldn't change Astral God Spirits once you merged with them. But, this also brought some profit that you wouldn't get from demon spirits. You could use some of the Astral Gods abilities even without merging. Just, they couldn't be used to their full capabilities until she merged with a demon spirit.

More than that, unlike other demon beats who only granted few abilities. Astral God Spirits, granted a complete set of abilities. She was able to control wind and thunder easily and there were other abilities she could use.

She created a wall of wind, that stopped Shen Fei's attacks.

Above, Miyuki looked at her with a smile, "Ning'Er has gotten stronger."

Shen Xiu had a worried look when she looked at Shen Fei.

Ye Ziyun who looked at that tightened her fist. Xiao Ning'Er was her best friend but, also her biggest rival. She could feel her strength. When they were fighting the demon beasts she noticed her strength. But, looking at it now without distraction she realized how great her strength was.

Nie Li, Du Ze, Lu Piao were standing in the stands. There was still time before their turn came.

Lu Piao whistled, "She is really strong!"

Du Ze nodded seriously, "Almost too strong. I don't think even I can defeat her. What about you Nie Li?"

Nie Li was thinking about what he saw, "That demon spirit of hers is very special. Moreover, she is only a step away from BlackGold." He could tell she could use demon spirits' ability without merging with it.

Nie Li smiled, "I heard she and Ziyun went with Tatsuya to train."

He felt a similar aura around Tatsuya's shoulder. He was sure if it was anyone else, they wouldn't be able to see it. He was curious as to why Tatsuya didn't absorb the power of the law.
