"what happened here, what kind of powerful monsters can cause destruction of such a scale", exclaimed Vincent, his voice filled with awe as he gazed down the cliff
Below, the land lay in ruin. Trees were scorched black, their twisted trunks smoldering as if consumed by a fire of unnatural origin. The earth itself seemed to be gouged out in places, leaving massive craters that stretched for miles.
"Monsters???... how do you know" inquired Aetheris with a confused tone, he knew very well that it was Him and the ape but he was keen on hearing Vincent's theory
"Well not monsters but 'monsters', I once took a course on demonology and Beastology but they were too complex... although I eventually dropped out on demonology I continued to study Beastology
The traces here are shifting, meaning it was not a battle of territory but of personal issues; however, the craters are too uneven, thus suggesting a fight between a short Beast and a large one," replied Vincent with a smug grin as he began to rub his nose, Aetheris slightly smiled before returning to his calm demeanor.
As they made their way down the cliff, the air grew thick with the lingering scent of smoke and ash. The devastation was even more overwhelming up close, the scorched ground crackling beneath their feet. Aetheris glanced at Vincent, who was still lost in his thoughts, analyzing every detail.
"I must admit," Vincent continued, "the scale of this destruction... it's nothing like I've ever seen. The ape must be one of the culprits, right? To leave marks like that... but what was the other? Something far more... subtle, perhaps?" He glanced at Aetheris with curiosity, hoping for an answer.
Aetheris raised an eyebrow. "Perhaps," he mused, offering no further confirmation. He admired Vincent's analytical skills, though he found amusement in his miscalculations. The real cause, as Aetheris knew, was the apocalyptic clash between himself and the ape—a battle far beyond mere beasts or territorial disputes.
As the two of them entered the cave a blinding light appeared surprising Vincent as he felt himself getting disoriented
"Hahhh I'm beginning to hate teleportation," said Aetheris as he felt the familiar feeling, and just like that the two of them disappeared
....
"WOW!!! THE SPRING IS REAL... I CAN FINALLY BE HEALED" Exclaimed Vincent with a tone full of joy
As they step into the cave, a breathtaking sight unfolded before them—a place that defies the ordinary and exudes a profound sense of mystery. The cave is massive yet intricately designed, its high ceiling adorned with iridescent stalactites that shimmer like stars in the night sky. Soft, ethereal light spills from unknown sources, casting a soft glow over the entire cavern. The air is cool but not cold, filled with a gentle, calming fragrance that seems to carry ancient wisdom.
At the heart of this majestic space lies the Spring of Rebirth, a mystical body of water divided into three distinct sections yet interconnected as one entity. Each section is like a mirror reflecting the other, with waters so clear and pure they seem to glow from within. Despite their separation, the spring is unified, with thin streams connecting the three parts, allowing the magic of the spring to flow freely between them
'The Mana concentration of this place is insane. There are two distinctive scents of the ape, and they're still very fresh, meaning it was once here too... wait.
The ape didn't evolve but it did trigger a mutation... meaning its mutation was recent and unstable due to a breakthrough to mid-rank 9th order... thanks to the spring ' thought Aetheris as he continued to analyse the cave while Remiel simply collected data
"Vincent, did this 'elder' say anything else about the spring..." said Aetheris as he looked at Vincent, who was grinning like a fool.
"Ahh sorry, he said some philosophical bullshit but he also said I must take a bath in the spring to be reborn...yeah that kind of bullshit "replied Vincent with a sigh, he was so excited that he forgot his manners
"Vincent everything has a price, we don't know the consequences of dealing with this spring but since it consumed the Vitality of the barren lands I guess there is no price to pay... choose a spring quickly "
Vincent quickly took off his top garments and approached the lower spring and Aetheris did the same but he approached the higher spring
"Ugh!!! Cold hot Cold" cried Vincent as he felt countless needless Peirce his body, the spring began to do it's magic and Vincent didn't like it one bit.
' Remiel what are the effects of this spring... what is this... spring' pondered Aetheris as he observed the shimmering water of the spring

'hmmm... It's perfect for Vincent; this elder might have been some ancestor who tried to incite riot and chaos...' concluded Aetheris as he began to relax; he hadn't slept for a week, and although he wasn't tired, it still felt unnatural to him.
The water around him began to swirl as the essence began to enter his chest, and the seed of genesis began to grow slightly as it absorbed the essence of the water

Aetheris fell into a deep slumber, lulled by the incessant notifications that echoed softly in his mind. The peacefulness of his surroundings allowed him to sleep willingly, sinking into a state of peace.
In stark contrast, Vincent was being reborn in an unhinged manner. The abundant Mana and essence surged through him, twisting his essence and distorting his very being.
Unlike Aetheris's tranquil descent into rest, Vincent's rebirth was a tumultuous struggle against the weight of his past, leaving him to grapple with the turmoil of his former life as he fought to emerge anew.
