Igari Fukuma had encountered a bald man who was blocking his way. No sooner had Igari known whom he was fighting than he asked what his name was. All Igari knew was that he was blocking his way and the intimidating rough tone coming from the man's mouth spoke to him. Mischievous thoughts and nefarious acts were all he sensed coming from the man. He later knew that he was a Mikadzuki.
And he knew the man was bald due to the lack of hair sounds.
Unsheathed his katana, standing amidst the battle with no eyes open, sighing as if to calm his soul. He was blind yet brave. That was all the man knew about his weakness, but he knew not to underestimate a blind man with 4 of his senses left increased by tenfold. Knowing the battle would be tough, the man spread out his arms and began transforming.
Once he had transformed, he immediately launched, targeting Igari. The quick movement caught Igari by surprise as he dodged by jerking to the left. The sound he emitted was quicker than he anticipated, like a sound of a calm water before the storm. Had he not dodged that, his head would off sooner.
His calm breathing was taken away that successive dodge. Not only was he quick, but he also managed to scar Igari's right cheek as his moves were silent. Igari then went back to his calm state and heard something fall to the ground. A soft and light object that fell slowly and was moved by the wind. The familiar object he had discovered was a feather.
"(A feather? No flocking sounds nor birds flapping their wings were heard. Could it be that he's a transformation-type warrior?)" Igari observed in his mind as he assumed that the enemy was a transformation type.
"I'll give you points for dodging that. Though these wings are heavy, they give me such mobility in moving high speed. The more convenient to end you painfully!"
"Hmm, a falcon? No, a vulture..." Igari knew right away what the enemy's transformation was. Igari later stood up and turned around, facing his enemy again with newfound knowledge.
Meanwhile, outside of Igari's fight, Shimon and Hakku were having difficulty fighting the two Mikadzuki from afar in the forest. Shimon and Hakku ignored the white-haired one after discovering that he was a clone because every hit didn't land a single scar on him, but being ignored proved a hassle as he supported his comrades though being a clone.
Shimon hit the blue-haired one on the nose, and he was the real one. The blue-haired Mikadzuki was an ice mage after they had discovered his magic. Shimon struggled to defeat him despite the fact that he was a fire user with an advantage against ice. His ice was strong enough to withstand the extreme heat of Shimon's flames.
And the white-haired made it more of a challenge, his strings were capable of easily cutting trees with one finger raised, making them wary of his strings.
The blue-haired Mikadzuki stomped the ground and created a giant icy spike from the ground. The two jumped and avoided the ice spikes that were created by Mikadzuki. After they had jumped, the strings were behind them. Shimon used his flame blade to cut the strings. He managed to cut through all of them, and finally they landed on the ground.
Hakku released his mist magic into his surroundings and appeared behind the blue-haired Mikadzuki instantly. However, he backed away after attempting to slash his neck. The strings were everywhere around him. Even if he cut one of them, he sensed something would trigger a trap and kill him right away.
"No good, I can't get close to him." Hakku appeared right back in his position next to Shimon.
Hakku reported to Shimon, "Not only is he a clone, but he is also close to him and has set up protection to shield him," as it was useless to get one inch close to the blue-haired Mikadzuki.
Meanwhile, Akira was in a dreadful state, panting from the pain that was caused by the real white-haired Mikadzuki. Akira failed to protect the rest because the strings were too many and stronger than steel. His comrades died of miserable death, where their demise were all bodily parts being cut like butter.
"Why can't you die!? It's impossible to heal in that state. No matter how long you fight, your mana won't last long!" Veins popped, his fight was Akira wasn't over, even lasting for ages he would still be moving.
"I'm not dying just yet!" Refused to give up on the comrades who died in battle left in vain, Akira held his ground.
Meanwhile, the Mikadzuki covered Akira's entire neck with strings that came from all of his fingers, tightening the strings and choking Akira to death. It was effective against him, his neck exploded, instantly decapitated. Akira's body collapsed to the ground, gushing out alot of blood now of a headless corpse.
The Mikadzuki eventually calmed down, but the strange feeling and questioning never left him. His healing was impressive, he managed to stay for 25 minutes despite having had numerous wounds inflicted on him.
Not long later after Akira's death, he hurledbhis blood slash on the Mikadzuki who was in a state of thought. Quickly he reacted, but the slash injured his right leg. The Mikadzuki was taken aback by Akira's ability to move a finger after his head had been severed from his body, it was unique yet annoying.
Akira's head was regenerating as if it were transforming. His skull, his organs, and his flesh regenerated. His hair began to grow back, and his vision had returned. His eyes widened as Akira astounded him.
[BLOOD MAGIC: BLOOD CLAW]
As he strengthened his grasp on his scythe, Akira's entire right arm was covered in blood. Because of his blood claw, his scythe became exceedingly light, giving him tremendous strength.
Akira rushed at a lightning speed which caught him unprepared. Akira swung his scythe with all his might. Devastated the entire ground.
[BLOOD MAGIC: GIGANTA BLOOD BLADE]
The giganta blood blade was no longer heavy thanks to his newly enhanced arm, providing him a lot of mobility when utilizing it. He swung horizontally, each strike obliterated the ground.
It was getting tougher. He continued swinging the scythe erratically. Eventually made the Mikadzuki lost control of controlling his strings.
[BLOOD MAGIC: BLOOD HAMMER]
The entire blade of Akira's scythe was flattened after he raised it to its highest point. A large hammer was rapidly dropped by him, shattering the entire ground and creating a loud boom that could be heard for miles.
Igari was battling the bald Mikadzuki when he heard a rumbling sound coming from a distance. The warrior who was giving the Mikadzuki his all in the fight impressed him. Igari's numerous injuries made for a challenging battle.
Igari didn't move as he slowly pulled the blade from the sheath. The Mikadzuki was approaching from every angle at a rapid speed while mistaking that he had accepted his death.
"As the wind goes silent, the ocean goes calm. The silence when the wind had stopped, the calmness deep inside of me had attained."
"Saying prayers already? What a joke! Then die right here!"
[CHINMOKU NO TSURUGI: SHIZUKANA KAZE]
As the Mikadzuki approached, he slashed through the man's torso without removing the entire blade from its sheath.
"H-how?!"
"Moves flow like a stream of water. They only move in one direction, the same as you. The flow won't alter if you don't take any action."
"That was the whole point that you didn't retaliate against me?!"
"Your weight is carelessness. But worry less; your life is already at an end."
The Mikadzuki murmured, "Curse you," as his eyes gradually closed. just before he passed away, his voice was faint.
"May you rest in hell. Amen." As soon as Igari killed the Mikadzuki, he left.
After Igari's fight had ended, Shimon and Hakku were having trouble fighting both Mikadzuki. They were both severely damaged by the Mikadzuki's summoned ice and the strings fired by the white-haired Mikadzuki. Shimon's flames were rendered useless since the heat he generated was insufficient to melt the ice. Shimon then told Hakku to let go of his mist.
"Go now, Hakku-yo. I will use it! It's not fair that our squad has gone all out, but we haven't." Shimon was referring to Akira and Igari, who were going all out fighting the Mikadzukis.
The blue-haired Mikadzuki, stamped the ground again, spewing ice spikes at him. Shimon, on the other hand, stayed still, oblivious to the danger. He just had his katana's grip to hold on to.
[FLAME MAGIC: SUN BLADE]
As he softly unsheathed his weapon, he condensed a massive amount of mana. His blade's gleam was golden, suggesting that the heat was more intense. He cut the ice spikes that came toward him as soon as he took the blade from its sheath. The ice was successfully melted, and the ice was destroyed. He jumped without waiting for a second, aiming at the blue-haired Mikadzuki. Shimon unexpectedly appeared in front of Mikadzuki, who was caught off guard.
Hakku appeared from behind, shredding the strings all around him. Shimon, without protection and defenseless on the Mikadzuki, took his own life while he attempted to protect himself with ice. Shimon promptly melted the ice and killed him by chopping off his head. The white-haired Mikadzuki fired his strings but was afterward burned when the blade only touched his flesh.
The string was flammable and later consumed by flames. They were victorious because both of the Mikadzuki had been defeated...
Note: The reason why Hakku was the second strongest in the squad was that he was fast. Igari stated that he could not hear Hakku when he used his mist magic and just appeared out of nowhere. Shimon stated of himself that he won in strength but not by speed.
