Conquering the Mystic Realm Part 8

"Alvitr… I finally found you." The old man said as he slowly approached Alvitr, but she backed away, and when Yuki saw this, she immediately knew that they had a bad relationship. Based on how much her Mother was shaking and despite her clear fear, she was still trying to protect her daughter from these people.

"What do you want, Father? I already left the family just like what you said, why are you looking for me?" Alvitr asked as she looked at her father with wary eyes and she hid Elisa in her arms from their view.

Countless thoughts began to run in her mind as to why her father suddenly came to find her even after everything that had happened. He was the one who threw her away because she would rather throw her pride away as a Noble just to get together with a commoner and he was so angered with her actions that he stripped off her title and kicked her out of the house.

She still remembers the day how her father kicked her out with those cold eyes of hers as if he was not even looking at his daughter anymore, it seemed as if he was staring at trash. This made her feel really hurt as she loved her father very much, she would still accept being kicked out of the family, but seeing such a scene where everyone mocked her and he didn't do anything broke her heart.

As Elisa stared at her supposed grandfather, she looked at her with a dangerous glint in her eyes as he was the man who made her mother suffer all these years. But even though she really wants to kill him right here and now, she knows that she is still powerless, and she is more concerned about what her mother would think if he suddenly died.

'Wagner Von Strasser… if you try to lay your hands on my Mother again, I'll put you on my target list along with the future Emperor.' Elisa said to herself as she unconsciously released her dense bloodlust as the old man finally retrieved it back before he could find where the source was.

"I just came to find my daughter… is that a problem?" Wagner said as he looked up at his daughter with expectancy in her eyes. But before Altvitr could respond, Elisa got out of her Mother's arms and shielded her from Wagner.

"Stop bullying my Mom!" Elisa said as she 'fights through her fear' to stand up against the old man and when Alvtir saw how her daughter was defending her because she felt that she was getting bullied by her father, she felt a warm feeling in her chest.

Seeing how her daughter is still trying to defend her even though she is clearly scared of the people in front of her makes her feel embarrassed about herself as her daughter has more courage than her own Mother. So she gently lifted her up with now resolute in her face and when Elisa saw this as her planned work of trying to build confidence and courage for her Mother.

"I'm sorry… But Duke Strasser, I already stopped being your daughter when you cut off ties and abandoned me." Even though Alvitr was still clearly nervous and terrified, she stood her ground as she said those words that crushed Wagner's dreams.

After hearing how distant she was now, Wagner regretted all of his decisions all those years ago, especially how he mercilessly kicked Alvitr out of the house without even giving her anything, and how he cut ties with her. If only he left her on good terms none of things things would have happened, but now it was too late to regret.

Before she used to call her father with a sweet smile, but now she didn't even say father anymore. Instead, she used his title making her feel more distant and how he had truly hurt her for her to act like this.

"Alvitr… I know that you hate me now because of what I have done to you, but please… Forgive me, ever since you left my life has become more dull and lonely. I never realized how important you are to me, much more important than our family losing face just because you married a commoner. So, please… can you give your father another chance to make it up for you?" Wagner said as he slowly approached her but stopped when he saw her moving away from him. So instead of pushing any further, he stops and puts his attention back to the little girl he first met.

"Is that your daughter, Alvitr? She looks just like you when you were little." Wagner said as he stretched out his hand to touch Elisa's head but his hand was slapped away by Alvtirn with a firm look on her face.

"I have already forgiven you Duke Strasser on the day that you kicked me out because I can understand you. So please, just leave us alone, and… my daughter is not a part of any family. She is just mine and mine alone." Alvitr said as she looked at her father coldly after she saw her trying to touch her daughter after threatening her just now with weapons.

Elisa who suddenly saw a sudden switch on her Mother was pleasantly surprised to see it because she was not expecting such a scene. She had always seen her Mother as a kind and caring woman, she didn't get mad that easily, and the only time she was mad was when she sneaked outside to climb up a tree to eat some fruits. Her actions made Alvitr mad at her as she spent 1 hour being lectured by her and that was it, that was really the only time she remembers her being mad.

But now it was Elisa's second time seeing her Mother mad and seeing this she was proud of her.

After that confrontation, Alvitr finally kicked Wagner out of her house as she closed the door in front of him. When she did, she couldn't help but fall to her knees as all of the strength in her suddenly disappeared after she was away from the sight of everyone, if not for her daughter's support, she would have collapsed already.

"Mom… are you okay?" Elisa asked even though she already knew why her Mother was like this, the only reason that she was able to confront her father like that was because of the adrenaline that she felt when she saw that he was about to touch her. So the fear of her daughter getting taken away from her kicked in as she directly kicked them all out.

So when all of that was finally over, all of her sudden strength left her body.
