"Are you okay, Mom?" Elisa asked as she didn't expect her Mother to go to her knees suddenly, she supported her body with her own little body.
"I'm okay, Elisa. Mommy is just tired, that's all." Alvitr said as she patted her daughter's head with a gentle look on her face. She hid away the worry and relief in her face now that her father was gone. But what she doesn't know is that Elisa already knows it because she is too experienced in such scenarios, reading people was as easy as flipping her hand.
Alvitr was still not ready or rather she would never introduce her daughter to her family because she was afraid of what they might do to her as Elisa was a bastard child right now who was no Father, and worst of all she had the blood of a commoner. That was not acceptable in any Noble Family especially to the Strasser as they are not the strongest and most influential family of the Kingdom that is only under the Royal Family.
She knows what can happen if she introduces her to them so when her Father sees Elisa she gets too scared into thinking that they came here just for her daughter, but she is wrong. But that didn't ease her problems at all, instead, it even made it worse because now Elisa's identity was known and worst of all the person who saw her daughter first was her Father, the current head of the Strasserm Family.
The worst possible thing that can happen now that her Father knows the existence of Elisa is that she will be called back because even though she was stripped of her Title of Strasser, her daughter would be a Strasser as soon as she was born. After all, that's how their family works. No matter if you got stripped of your title if you give birth to a child, that child will take the name of Strasser, and the Family will have control of that child.
"Are you sure, Mommy? Your face is pale…" Elisa said worrily as she helped Alvitr towards the sofa so that she could have a better rest, once she was seated Elisa ran to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before returning to her Mother's side and gave it to her.
"Drink this, Mommy," Elisa said as she handed the water to Alvitr and watched how she drank it. She had already enchanted it with magic where that would calm down her nerves so that she wouldn't be as tense, it wasn't a powerful spell, but it would work.
As soon as Alvitr drinks the water that Elisa gave to her, she already feels herself calming down, and she can't help but think that all of this is because of the work of her daughter. Because of her love for her Mother, she was able to calm her down, that's what she thinks not knowing that it was because of the magic that her daughter cast on the water.
"Thank you, Elisa… I love you so much…" Alvitr said as she picked up her daughter before placing her in her lap she embraced her as if she was afraid that she would lose her and when Elisa noticed this, she just returned the hug. But as she rested her head on her Mother's chest, she had a dangerous look in her eyes as she began to think of ways how to get rid of all those people.
'Ahh… fuck this. I thought that my life would be easy with just me living with my Mom until that person took the Empreror so that I could kill him, but it seemed I was wrong. My family's situation is rather complicated.' Elisa thought to herself but soon shook her head as the idea was simply too bad and that was just stupid.
As Elisa was thinking about what she could do to help her Mom's worries, she suddenly heard her voice called out to her and looked up at her to only see a sad smile on her face again which made her clench her fist.
"Elisa… Do you want to meet your relatives? Like your grandparents, aunts, uncle, and even cousins?" As soon as that question left Alvitr's mouth, Elisa already knew what she was thinking. She was debating whether she would go back to her old house despite already being kicked out.
Elisa can already predict what was going to happen if she agreed with her, they would only get bullied there because she was the daughter of a commoner and a bastard, and her Mother who has no power in the family would only be as good or even lower as a servant in the house. So she rejected that idea immediately.
"Would you be mad if I said no? I… Mommy you are enough for me, I don't want any other family members but you, and… I saw your expression today, you were afraid of that grandpa. He's my grandfather… right?" Elisa said softly as she then hid her face in her Mother's chest as if she refused to meet her eyes.
'Mother… don't go there. You will only suffer.' That was Elisa's hope for her Mother to not decide to ignore her daughter's feelings and still go back to her family where she is bound to be sad.
"How did you know about that?" Alvitr was shocked when she heard that her daughter doesn't like to go back and find her family, but she was more shocked when she heard that her daughter had already guessed who was the old man just now.
"Before you call him Duke Strasser... You called him Father, and I already know who he was to begin with because his guards were carrying the flag of the Strasser Family. I also have read about the Strasser family and how they have a daughter who was kicked out because she wanted to be with a commoner, that is you right, Mommy?" Elisa said in a mutter, but it was all clear to Alvitr.
When she heard it she almost couldn't believe what she was hearing, her daughter had learned so much in just a short amount of time, and the fact that she was able to recognize the Strasser Family Flag was simply unbelievable for her, but the most unbelievable for her is how smart her daughter was. In such a short time she was able to deduce who the man was and her comprehension from reading books was terrifying as she was just barely 6 years old.
