I’m the President’s girlfriend

Kathleen couldn't be bothered with her as she had more important things to deal with, so she turned her attention back to the receptionist to resume their conversation.

Seeing that Kathleen ignored her, Linda became incensed, "You are finally back to Baltimore after feigning death for so many years, I wonder what tricks you have up your sleeves this time around with your sudden return?"

Well, since Linda refused to give up, why not play a little with her, after all, she still had 20 minutes to spare before her meeting with Mr Mason. With that in mind Kathleen walked up to Linda.

"Linda Beazell, we meet again, but it's quite unfortunate that you are still as foul mouthed as ever." Her voice was calm and calculated, without the slightest emotion.

She inched closer to Linda, exuding an intimidating aura. "Why are you so concerned about what I'll do? Are you threatened by my presence?" Kathleen asked, a cynical smirk slowly forming at the corner of her mouth.

Apart from Kathleen's unusual purple eyes, her most striking feature has always been her tall slender legs which were standing out, courtesy of the navy blue, custom-made, skirt suit she wore.

Her 6" stilettos added to her 5'7" height making her tower above Linda. Coupled with a figure that could turn heads anytime and any day irrespective of what she wore, Kathleen was already a beauty to behold.

She hardly had to put in any effort in dressing up. But today was her first day in Baltimore branch of Wyatt Corporations, so she had taken some time to do a little touch-up on the plane before their landing was announced.

Kathleen knew she looked good, if you know what I mean. WINK…

"Who is threatened by you, don't be too full of yourself." Judging from the way Linda's eyes were flickering, one could tell on a closer look that she was slightly flustered.

"I wonder how you sneaked your way past the security guards in here, but just so you know, this is not a place you can walk in as you please. We are all prestigious company owners and executives here to collaborate with Wyatt Corporation, so scram if you still have any sense of awareness." She looked around expectantly at the others to corroborate her claims.

"That's true, I don't seem to remember seeing or hearing about her in association with any company, is she here for the collaboration also?" The brunette asked no one in particular.

"How can that be, not everyone can collaborate with the Wyatt group. I'm sure she's here for some sneaky purpose. Look at how seductive she looks in that dress of hers."

The ringing tone of Kathleen's phone broke through their vicious comments.

She moved to the side to pick the call.

"Hello Sis, what is keeping you, your flight must have landed about an hour ago and Mr Duncan already told me that you are in the company, where are you?" Jason's voice sounded a bit worried.

"I'm already here in the reception."

"That's good, I'll be sending Ariel, your assistant down to bring you up."

"There's no need for that, I'm enjoying a good show here, and will come up when I'm done," Kathleen replied, her tone playful.

"Sis, can you be more serious? This is your first day here and you're already running wild, you're coming up immediately" he reprimanded

'This sister of mine will not cease to amaze.me,' Jason complained dotingly.

"Ok, I get you President Wyatt."

Kathleen ended the call and saw two pairs of eyes staring at her condescendingly.

'This is getting quite interesting, but I have to go up or Jason will come down himself to pick me up. I must keep a low profile for the time being.'

Kathleen went back to the receptionist, whispered something in her ears and her eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

Although she has been respectful to Kathleen since she entered, but after what Kathleen just said, she carried it to a whole new level.

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, Madam. You can use the president's elevator over here." She hurried out of her seat to lead Kathleen to where the elevator was, her limbs shaking from shock.

"Hold it there, what did you tell her that has turned her into such a fool?" Linda said,

Glaring at Kathleen.

"I told her that I'm the President's girlfriend and that he asked her to send me up immediately, do you have a problem with that?"

"Wait…, what did you just say you are? The President's girlfriend? Linda gave a sarcastic laugh. "Who doesn't know in this city that President Wyatt doesn't have a girlfriend, he rarely even interact with noble ladies, not to mention an abandoned woman like you."

"You are definitely not his girlfriend and there is no way he would want to see you. We have been waiting here all day and who do you think you are to just up and see the president before us?"

"How is it my fault who the president wants to see first, you better get a hold on yourself or you'll regret your actions today," Kathleen warned.

"Who are you to threaten me, Kathleen, do you believe I can make you disappear from Baltimore forever!"

"You wish," Kathleen sneered. "How about I make you disappear instead?"

Linda's sarcastic laugh sounded through the hall. "What a joke! You might as well say you are the president of Wyatt Corporation. Apart from Wyatt Corporation, Hudson Corporation and the Hunters Group, who else dares go against the Beazell Group in this city?"

"It's good you know that the Beazell group is a piece of shit playing fourth fiddle in Baltimore. If you provoke me further, before the end of today, your so-called Beazell Group will declare bankruptcy and none of the groups you mentioned will be able to save you."

"How dare you, Kathleen?" Linda abruptly swung her hands to slap Kathleen but before the hand landed on Kathleen's face, it was grabbed by a large hand.

"Who the heck…" Linda started but the curse got stuck in her throat the moment she saw the owner of the hand.
