"By the gods- you froze, didn't you?" she exclaimed, mocking me. "Calm down, beautiful girl. I'm just messing with you. I wouldn't be pissed off just because you made that question. But in the end, this is a good thing."

"What is a good thing?"

"The fact that you're smart enough to be cautious near me. I'm not a person you would want to mess with. But you're lucky cuz I liked you," she said and drank some of her Bourbon, then she looked at me with a wicked smile. "You asked what the second and third in command do when the Golden boy is present in the kingdom, mhm- a King cannot do everything alone, baby girl, so we're the ones who help him with everything he needs. Well, I think this is actually what Koji does since he is also Kai's right arm. Now, I am the one who searches about the upgoing situations to help him, like the dark shit that it's spreading on the other races. I'm like- the brain here, you know?!"

"That makes sense. Can I ask you a question? And please don't take it wrong," a devilish smile appears on her red lips but I stayed calm.

"I'm listening."

"Why you're the second on command if you aren't a fae?" all of them looked at me as if I had asked a forbidden question, but Samantha continued to smile at me.

"I have been protected by the kingdom since Kai's great-great-grandparents reigned over these lands. They liked me, as well as all the respective rulers, but when Kai was born and grew up, he became known as the most powerful fae of all time, when he had just taken the throne of the kingdom he decided to challenge me to fight with him for real. He said that I could be dangerous but that didn't change the fact that he was more powerful than me, poor child. We bet that if he won the fight I would go out with him, but if I won I would become second in command. Look at my current position and you will know who easily won that fight. After that he didn't mess with me anymore, we just fought one more time when he broke up my fight with Ryusei," I looked at him shocked, then my eyes met Samantha's once more. "I've told you that I'm powerful than him, and I wasn't lying as you can see. And before you asked what the people think about it, all of them like me."

I looked at Kai and start to laugh out loud. They all looked surprised, but I couldn't stop laughing.
