Lux held up his sword while Kai held up his shortsword. The two of them were ready to give their best and protect everyone to the best of their abilities. Just when the mutated bat open its mouth to release a screech, the sound of an object cutting through the air echoed through the tunnel.
Whoosh!
Three white feathers flashed for a moment before digging through the sensitive parts of the bat's head. One feather tore through its throat, while the other two dug into the bat's eyes and buried themselves into its brain.
Thud...
Under the amazed gazes and slacked jaws of everyone present, the body of the large bat dropped down to the ground, dead in every sense of the word. Slowly, they all turned to face the small and unassuming bird that laid innocently in the grasp of Heather. The bird ruffled its feathers, before raising its wing and burying its head under the raised wing to sleep, completely ignoring them all.
