Desmond's voice, the Deus Bahamut, drew Cain's attention back to the present. There was a fresh smile on the young man's face as he walked toward Cain.
Cain's eyes refocused as he saw the Bahamut approaching him, and a smile graced his face. Desmond was refreshingly straightforward, unlike the Fourth Imperial Prince and Second Imperial Princess, who always had ulterior motives.
Although it was easy for Cain to handle people with hidden interests, that did not mean he liked to spend his time that always was plotting something. If he had to choose, Cain would always prefer to be with those like the young Deus Bahamut who shoot straight.
