The Empoyee

"How might you please me, Miss Parker?" "How would you want me, Mr. Holden?" I should stop. It was only a tease I had mindlessly put up, hoping to get a longer moment with him, listening to whatever I had to say, but apparently, he was a persistent young man, one who would get to the end of every matter started. "I'm only scared we don't speak of the same thing here" He followed. "Oh, I very much follow, Mr Holden" "Here's the thing Miss Parker" He began, figure tearing off the chair, approaching my form. I fretted at his incoming profile, eyes averted away, not daring to meet that striking gaze of his. Even in the calming space, I could feel the burn that rushed to my chest. He had soon pulled up beside my form, eyes peering on at my warded off profile. "I'd like to see how so well you think can please me" He called. "If you manage to have me forget how troublesome the morning has been, then I assure you, the position is all yours" Eyes had snapped up to him at once, gaze beholding the sincerity in those grey eyes. "Also.....He paused for a long minute, figure inching closer.....If you manage to have me aroused........ He drew even nearer, breath so close, it fanned against my neck. "Then you, Miss Janet Parker, will be the company's new marketer to be employed" *** He is a 24 year old heir to his father's company. My eyes lingered on the figure drawing closer, his eyes never letting go of mine.

Gait so strong, there came an aura from the gentleman that was bound to leave one staring on, itching to know what came with him, except my lingering gaze was for the high-spirits that tagged along with him.

"Hello"

Voice so deep, it bounced into my ears, with a grin growing on those chapped lips.

My eyes beheld the blue ones of the stranger who was now before me, questioning gaze awaiting his.

"Hi" My voice managed to lose its pitch, with eyes rested on his form, confusion getting a hold of me.

"I'm Diego" He didn't give me enough time to go on introducing myself, with hands already shot out, he took mine, planting a light kiss at the back of my palms.

"Oh"

I beheld the enthusiasm emitted from this gentleman, it was only fair my eyes held onto every confusion that came about.

Those eyes took in every bit of me, unbothered that my eyes followed every movement of his.

"Why should a pretty lady be left hanging alone?"

His utterance earned a low scoff from me, with gaze soon shifting away.

"I was only invited for the business dinner. Nothing serious" I followed with a chuckle, eyes beholding the delight filling his eyes.

"Business dinner? You work for one of the companies here?"

"Holden Inc." I was sure to mention.

I watched his expression shift from confusion, to surprise, and finally amusement beholding his gaze, with the grin on his lips growing even wider.

"And Kristoffer never made mention of it" He followed.

"Who?"

"Kristoffer" He called, eyes shifting to that figure sat afar.

I watched those grey eyes take mine, an expressionless face he bore, with eyes shifting from the profile of Diego to mine.

"That's amazing!" The voice of Diego followed, snapping my attention back to him.

"Now there's more reason to stop by at the company" He smirked.

"I never got the name"

"Oh, it's Jane" My voice was low, eyes having some sort of pull to have just one glance at Mr. Holden, and right then did our gazes meet, with mine soon averting in a second.

"Excuse me, I need to make use of the restroom"

And off I went, walking away from the lingering scrutiny of that young man.
