Return from death

Soon the sound of footsteps stopped too, and Kai came out piercing the smoke. He kicked Basilisk in the eye, but his kick was not strong enough to crush his eyes. Without wasting a second, Basilisk bit his abdomen and ripped his organs out of his body.

And the tables were turned, a neck-to-neck battle came to end...

Everyone who was watching the match screamed because of Kai's sudden death...

Lee, who was watching the live match, fell onto his knees and tears broke out of his eyes. His heart was broken. What he feared was his reality now.

He just lost that punk who was going to eat a bat. That closest friend, to whom Ouroboros was never a filthy or low house.

"Kai! No! No! You can't die, brother! You can't leave me alone here!"

It wasn't possible at all!!

The people who watched Kai dying seemed to have lost the ray of hope of their spirits. Their bright glowing eyes were again dull. Everyone who had hope in their hearts died with Kai.

They looked like they fell into deep darkness, but when everyone felt everything was over, a voice came from the dungeon.

"Oi! Bitch, I'm not dead yet, I can't die dumbass I'm the hero!" Someone spoke while breathing heavily in a determined voice.

"Huh! Was it Kai's voice? Was it Kai's voice? Kai! Are you okay? I knew you're alive!" Lee, who lost his mind after watching Kai die. came back to life after hearing him again.

It was Kai; he was standing behind Basilisk in one piece. No one had a clue how he survived, and if he's here, then who was the person Basilisk killed.

"Huh! Wait, if you're there, then what's this?" Basilisk got confused after seeing two Kai one in his jaw and one behind him.

"Look back, stupid snake! I've got a gift for you!" I yelled at Basilisk's back.

"Ahh, I see, a clone! Damn devil, you tricked me with your demonic magic, but let's see if you can parry this!"

He coiled his body and stood in an attack position, but as he turned to attack me, I did something that made him scream.

"Wha-what! What have you done!! you made me blind?" Basilisk screamed in pain.

"YOU DUMMY YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNEW YOUR WEAKNESS! A MIRROR!"

I used my first item, "The mirror" that was turned out lethal for him, my luck was with me today and my trick worked the mirror blinded him.

This was a perfect opportunity to turn the situation in my favor. Without wasting time, I rushed toward him swiftly.

"Let's see if you can bite me again or not! Haha!" I was having so much fun mocking the beast, but I made sure I don't get carried away. I jumped onto his head with the help of his body, I took a bottle out of his pocket. and poured the liquid of the bottle on his head.

RAHAHRRRRHEHHRRRRRR!! As I poured the liquid, his screams intensified ten times. Watching him scream so bad made me feel bad for him...

"You know what this is? It's "Weasel's attar" and Now, you know why it hurts you more? But it was just a drop, the bottle is filled to the brim! You may like it." I didn't know what was in me at the moment when I tortured him, I felt it was my real side about which I didn't know myself. I laughed my heart out as I tortured him and balanced myself on those very smooth scales of the serpent king.

"No! I won't lose to a filthy devil like you!"

He yelled and coiled his tail and swung it at me. It happened so quickly that I had no time to react.

WHAACCCKKKKK!!!

KAABOOOOOMMMMM!!!

He attacked with his big tail when I was on his head. I crashed in one of the dungeon walls after being hit by the blow.

Thud…

I was pretty hurt this time. My head was bleeding badly and a few of my bones were fractured too. Saw my feet were buried under the rubble of the wall that collided when I crashed in it.

And because of that, I couldn't move and it felt like it was my end.

The basilisk who I was dominating from the start was burning in rage. He took was ready to finish me off; He looked really pissed off.

"Kai Reid, I never felt so humiliated before in my whole life! You made me look pathetic and for that, I'm going to kill you!" his yellow eyes were burning with hatred for me.

He unleashed his attack on me with full force; he pierced his fangs into my heart and I knew it was my end but I had no regrets because I knew I did my best, My death would bring tears in the eyes of my loved but, at least I would be remembered as a brave guy, not as some coward. I was ready to die. But as he pierced his fangs into my heart, a pink-colored liquid blasted from my chest. I did not know what it was, but it burned Basilisk's fangs and half of his body.

"Aaaaahhhh agggghhhh what's this no!" Basilisk's screams were so loud that it echoed in the whole dungeon.

The liquid that burned his body filled the wound in my chest that was caused by his fangs.

The people who were watching the ceremony were bamboozled. They were shocked by my return from death.

"Huh! I'm alive! How? What's this pink thing on me?" I talked to myself after returning from doors of death.

"sniff sniff....huh! It smells like that thing—"

A voice echoed in the dungeon, that said: "Kai Reid has proved that he's worthy of the crown. The ceremony is completed with Kai Ried as the winner.

Finally, it's over...

I heard people cheering from outside of the dungeon. I was so glad that a smile appeared on my face. I rested my back on a wall and cried because I successfully changed the future and I saved everyone!!!

Soon after few minutes, the Royal knights came to pick me up. They picked me up and took me out on their shoulders, and as I was about to leave, I heard a voice that was not in the regular language. The voice that called me was speaking in "Nagabani."

"You might have defeated me by tricks but I'm still fighting!! I'll take my revenge for this someday."

The voice that spoke to me was of Basilisk, who disappeared as I defeated him.

As I arrived out of the maze, everyone was there, people of the city, Lee, Sabir and Skyler and they were crying ugly I had nothing to say to them so I passed a smile to them.

I was brutally injured. My muscles and bones felt as they were severed with blades. I was just trying to cope with the pain but it was so much to bear for my body, and soon my sight got blurry and everything looked like it's moving on It's own. My head got heavy, and I fainted.

The moment I opened my eyes, I was in my bed tucked in my blanket. I tried to sit on my bed, but my bones were broken in so many parts that even moving hurt like crazy. There was a glass of water on my side table that I tried to pick it, but due to my injuries I dropped it.

The sound of the glass attracted Rose's attention who was in my room.

"Huh, what was that noise—"

"Aahaahabaaaaaa you're awake my majesty!" Rose yelled in shock

"Ohh well yeah, I am!!" I awkwardly responded to Rose.

And In between all of this, somebody knocked on the door.
