Chapter 8

The next morning Hela woke up with a plan to test out her transformation and to also test out how long she can hold her breath attack since most dragons have a limited amount of shots so she wants to see if she has a limit as well so she got up and made breakfast for her and her brother which included some eggs, yak meat, bread and milk. She ate hers before picking up Hiccup's portion and going up the stairs where his room is only to find him sleeping on his desk his bed looked like it hadn't been slept on all night. She shakes her head since this is a common think with Hiccup.

Hela walked up to him, placed his breakfast on his desk before looking at the paper drawings of Toothless, some saddles and his prosthetic tail fin.

"Oh, brother you're being way too careless with this stuff" Hela said as she grabbed his drawings put them together and put them in his note book before shaking him to get him up.

"Hiccup wake up its time for breakfast" she said gently, Hiccup groaned and tried move away from Hela's hand only to fall from his chair waking himself fully while Hela laughed.

"That was not funny Hela" Hiccup said while rubbing his side.

"It was pretty funny for me" Hela told him still laughing a bit.

"I could have broken my arm you know" Hiccup said a small smile forming on his lips.

"And I would have patched you up it wouldn't be the first time I had to patch you up from a self-inflicted injury now would it" Hela said with a raised eyebrow and Hiccup had the decency to look flustered making Hela chuckle.

"Alright enough of that eat your breakfast I'm going out for a bit I'll see you at the arena with the others" Hela said as she ruffled his hair before walking away.

"Where are you going this early in the morning?" Hiccup asked as he took a bite off the yak meat moaning in delight at the test he always loved his sisters cooking.

"I'm going to the cove to hang out a bit with Troels" She said as she walked away before stopping at the edge of the stairs and turned to Hiccup with a serious look, "And Hiccup please keep those drawing of Toothless in your note book and not on the desk were dad can find them since we don't know when he's coming back"

"I'll keep that in mind" Hiccup said seriously knowing that was his mistake.

"Good" Hela said before going on her way.

When she got out of the house she was tackled to the ground by Fenrir who started licking her face while his tail wagged happily.

"HA HA, good morning to you too Fenrir" Hela said as she sat up before patting him on the head. She looked at his empty bowl and smiled before scratching him behind the ears. She got up said good bye to Fenrir as she started jogging towards the wood she passed by Gobber's workshop.

"Good morning Gobber" She greeted him.

"Mornin' lass where're you headed to this early in the mornin'" He asked.

"Just off to my usual morning workout I woke earlier than usual" She said with a smile.

"Alright just be careful out there and I'll see you at the arena" Gobber said making Hela nod her head as she continued towards the woods. After she got a bit farther away from the village she stopped to listen to see if someone was around or following her and took a sniff of the air just to be safe. When she deemed it safe she let out her dragon wings before smiling and flying towards the cove.

When she got there she found Troels still asleep, he woke up when she landed but upon seeing it was Hela he groaned and faced the other way making Hela smile at his behavior.

"Well good morning to you too I guess" Hela said and Troels groaned again in away asking what she wanted.

"Oh nothing just wanted to see my favorite dragon is all" Hela said and Troels lifted his head up and looked at her suspiciously.

"What are you saying I can't come visit you early in the morning?" Hela asked mock hurt and Troels narrowed his eyes even more.

"Okay fine I wanted to test out my transformation ability and to see if I have a shot limit on the other side of the island and I want you to be there in case I overexert myself" Hela said a bit annoyed he could read her so easily while Troels got up stretched and took off before making Hela groan and flay after him.

"For a dragon his age he sure acts like a hatchling" Hela whispered but she was not as quite as she thought since she had to dodge a plasma shot when she looked ahead of her she saw Troels glaring at her making her sigh 'my point exactly' she thought forgetting their minds were connected since she had to dodge again.

When they reached the beach after a bit more plasma shots were thrown at each other Troels stood a bit far from Hela while she looked towards the ocean for a bit before she took a deep breath and let it out 'well here goes nothing' she thought before concentrating on the form she wanted to take.

She glowed as she felt her body heat up rapidly before she felt like she was being stretched making her groan in discomfort. The feeling didn't last long before it went away but her body felt hotter than normal.

"I guess that's to be expected from a dragons body" Hela said in a deep voice 'I guess I can talk in my dragon forms like Saphira'

"Is this how all dragons feel?" Hela asked her self not expecting an answer.

"Yes all dragons feel that hot except the snow wraths and the biwilderbeast" said a deep voice from her right surprising her as she stared at Troels in shock.

"What is there something on my face?" he asked confused as he started to wipe his face with his paw.

"I can understand you" Hela said still shocked making Troels look at her like she was an idiot.

"Couldn't you understand me before since you knew everything I was saying and even responded to them?" he asked her.

"No I was just reading your emotions, facial features and body language to understand what you were saying" Hela said.

"Huh, I can see why this would shock you" Troels said with a nod of his head.

"So why can I understand you now and not before?"

"Maybe because when you transformed into your dragon form you didn't just transform in body alone but in mind as well rewriting your brain from a human brain to a dragons brain" Troels said thoughtfully.

"That makes sense who knew you had such a big brain on you" Hela said.

"I have always had a big brain you were just too stupid to see it" Troels said with his head held high.

"Alright lets change the subject I only have an hour before I have to go to the arena" Hela said before she took a deep breath feeling heat pool up in her throat before letting it out in the form of a jet of green flames 'Lets see for how long I can maintain this flame'

Hela was still maintaining the same flame breath and didn't feel tired at all so she cuts off and returns to her human form although she felt a bit soar but that was from transforming for the first time and she'll get used to it.

"We'll have to test my shot limit another time since I have to go" she said took out her dragon wings said bye to Troels and took off back to the village leaving behind Troels to look at the steaming water, some of the sand that turned too glass from the heat and a lot of boiled fish. Troels mouth watered from all the fish in front of him.

When Hela reached the arena everyone was there with Hiccup and the others holding buckets full of water before the door holding the Zippleback bursted open letting out a large amount of smoke in to the arena.

"Now a wet dragon head can't light its fire the Hideous Zippleback is extra tricky, one head breaths gas the other head lights it, your job is to know which is which" Gobber said as the smoke en compassed the arena making sight difficult but not Hela's as she could see their heat signatures and if she could see so could the dragon who was headed towards Snotlout and Tuffnut who are going to run into Astrid and Ruffnut.

"Razor shape serrated teeth that inject venom for pre-digestion" Fishlegs mumbled as he was with Hiccup, "Prefers ambush attacks, crushing its victims-"

"Will you stop that" Hiccup whisper yelled.

"If that dragon shows either of his faces I'm gonna-" He pauses as he sees a shadow from the smoke, "There" He yells as he and Tuffnut dump their water on what they thought was the dragon only for it to be Astrid and Ruffnut.

"Hey" Astrid yelled.

"It's us you idiots" Ruffnut says.

"Your butt's are getting bigger, we thought you were a dragon" Tuffnut says before laughing.

"Not that there's anything wrong with a dragonesque figure" Snotlout said only to get a punch to the face from Astrid while Ruffnut threw her bucket at her brother both of them falling to the floor only for Tuffnut to be pulled into the smoke while they listened to his screams of pain Astrid and Ruffnut became alerted but the dragon's tail tripped them and Tuffnut came out running from the smoke trampling his sister in the process.

"I am hurt, I am very much hurt" he screamed.

"Chances of survival are dwindling into single digits now" Fishlegs said nerves just as one of the dragons heads slithered out of the smoke making Fishlegs dump his water on it but it was the wrong, "Oh wrong head" Fishlegs said as the dragon breathed a jet of gas on him making Gobber yell his name in distress on for the dragon to focus on Hiccup as it's other head came out of the smoke.

"Now hiccup" Gobber said as Hela prepared to jump in and save her brother since she knew he would screw up which he did since the water didn't reach the dragon head just as she was going to jump in her nose was assaulted by the most disgusting smell ever which as it turns out was an eel Hiccup had under his fur shirt and the dragon seems to smell it too since it shook it's head and backed away from Hiccup.

"Back, back, now don't you make me tell you again, yes that's right back into your cage" Hiccup said as he backed the dragon to his cage' "Now think about what you've done" He says as he throws the eel into the cage with the dragon before closing it shocking everyone except Hela as she was still dealing with the eels smell 'Did eels smell that bad before'.

"Okay so are we done because I've got something'sI need to uh yep" He said before running off leaving behind a shocked group of Vikings and his sister who's lost in thought.
