Su Ruan did not know how she managed to sleep last night.
When she returned to her room, Su Ruan had expected that it was going to be a sleepless night. However, the moment she put her head on the pillow, her eyes drooped and sleepiness engulfed her.
Perhaps she was too emotionally tired that her brain decided to let her rest.
The sun had risen up high in the sky. Su Ruan stared out the window with a dazed look in her eyes. From where she stood, she could see the Long's residence. The building was Long Fei's courtyard which she had visited yesterday.
Their conversation in the cave last night resounded in her head. Each of his actions replayed over and over again.
Su Ruan could still remember the look in his eyes before she left. The man was silently begging her to stay with him. In the end, she chose to look away.
Thinking of him made her heart heavy. Su Ruan shifted her gaze and finally pulled the curtains.
