Chapter 5 - The meeting
After I killed the deer from the top of the hill I had to walk for about 5 more minutes to get to the lake. And as I got closer I started to look at my surroundings to make sure that there was nothing that could endanger my life. And after a few more seconds I decided that it was safe so I started to walk closer to my kill.
As I got closer to my kill, I could already see that it truly was a powerful weapon. The crater behind it was like an artillery shell had exploded over there.
"This truly is an overpowered weapon."
As I was about to grab onto the leg of the deer, to drag it so I could use it as bait to kill more animals so I could get more creation points, I heard a sound from the bushes behind me. I immediately kneeled down and aimed my gun in the direction of the sound.
And after a few seconds I could see a silhouette of a person through my thermal vision on the scope. And I spook.
"Get out of the bushes, or I'll kill you where you stand!"
The person didnt move, probably because it was observing him. So after a few seconds he decided to start to move closer to the person.
"Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you. You can come out." He said in a low voice. But the person just started to run as fast as it could.
"Shit, well you ask for it." He said will aiming at the left leg of the person and pressing the trigger.
[BOOM]
In just a second the leg was split in half and the creator fell to the ground clutching the now missing left leg crying.
After shooting I started to run in the direction of my victim. As I got closer I could ear the person crying and screaming in pain.
"You shouldn't have made a run for it." I said mocking the stupid decision of the mysterious person.
After a few more meters I came face to face with the person, and it was a beautiful woman, crying in pain in the ground while clutching her bleeding leg and with an expression of fear in her eyes.
"Well well well, that was a very clean shoot right through your leg."
Hearing my voice, the almost unconscious woman shrieked in fear and tried to crawl away but I used the butt of my rifle to put her to sleep.
[Smack]
Why? Well she is the first person or being that seems to resemble a human so I want a friend, after all I don't want to spend my second life alone in this massive florist, and I don't know how long it will be before I find another person that has a Humanoid figure.
While looking at the ground I saw that her leg had begun to heal on its own. So I decided to ask the system what race she is.
"System, what race does our new friend belong to?"
[She belongs to the Dragon race]
"So that's why she has super regeneration and it's not super smaller than me compared to normal animals"
[Correct]
"Is there a way to make the regeneration faster?"
[Yes. If you put the severed leg closer to the rest of her body it will speed the process much faster.]
" Ok."
After getting that response from the system I immediately grabbed and put the severed leg closer to her body. And after a few seconds because it was a clean shot, it was already looking like nothing had happened.
"Damn, this regeneration ability is crazy."
After the regeneration was already over, I picked her up with my now free hand and started to carry her back to the lake.
[POV:???]
As I was walking through the forest I heard a very loud noise, like if a star had fallen from the heavens and hit the ground.
Out of curiosity I decided to see what had caused the strange noise but on my way there I was almost run over by a massive herd of deer running for dear life, without a care in the world if they were going to trample their fellow kin or other animals in the way.
"What has gotten to them? I have never seen a massive herd of deer running away from something like the way they were right now. What kind of best could have made them run for their lives like this?"
As I got up I immediately noticed that they were running from the place of the sound that she and I heard earlier. Just what kind of beast could have done this?
After a few more minutes of walking I could see a lake a few more meters in front of me. But instead of immediately going to its margins I decided to analyze my surroundings first and then that's when I saw a massive man over a dead deer but the head of the deer was missing and behind the deer there was this massive crater.
When I took a closer look at the strange man he was wearing some strange things over his body and he had a massive strange stick in his hands. When I tried to move closer I made the mistake of stepping on a stick, and the sound immediately alerted the man as he pointed the strange stick to my direction and started to speak but I didn't understand him.
"hfidnm jsniv omjsijv nknhkc cndirn"
"What is he saying?" I said
After a few seconds of silence he started to slowly start to move to my direction, but I decided that I didn't want to stay here any longer and started to run from the unknown man.
"isvgisb dbiojbov'' He said but I didn't understand a single word.
But after running a few meters I heard the sound again.
[BOOM]
One moment I was standing the other I had lost my balance and had fallen with my face first into the ground.
"What was that ARGHH…." As I was wondering what had made me trip over, I was attacked with a very sharp pain on my leg, and when I decided to take a look to see what had happened I saw that my leg was gone. And as I looked around I could see the rest of my leg a few meters away from my collapsed body. But what was more worrying was that I could hear footsteps coming from the direction of the place where the strange man was.
I tried to move but… "HHHHAAAA it hurts so much." I said while crying, firing for my life.
"ioj bicb bugbug nobuo"
As soon as I heard his voice I shrieked in fear and when I turned my head and saw the man pointing his strange stick at my head, and when I looked at his eyes I could see the eyes of a predator looking at his prey after a successful hunt.
"Please don't kill me." I begged, but when I saw no reaction I tried to crawl away, but from one second to the other everything went dark.
