Grandpa and Grandma

Liu Rushi then remembered that she hadn't had her monthly since two months. She frowned and stared at Lei Qingshan. Liu Rushi was actually happy that she was pregnant. It was that she was just pretending to be angry with Lei Qingshan.

She hit him lightly on his shoulder and Lei Qingshan winced "Ouch! What are you hitting me for?" Lei Qingshan felt a little bad to know that Liu Rushi was acting in such a way. He had thought that she would be joyous to know about the pregnancy but who knew that she was just joking with him.

She answered with another frown on her face "That's because you didn't use protection when we did it the last time." She again hit him and this time Lei Qingshan got hold of her hand.

Holding her hand he bought it close to his chest and asked with eyes full of sorrow "Are you not happy about being pregnant, Liu Rushi?" His voice was filled with a feeling of remorse that it made Liu Rushi feel hurt. S

he regretted of joking with him and instantly she bought him in a hug.

This hug was taken by Lei Qingshan as a surprise. He wasn't expecting this at this moment. He thought that she was really not okay with being pregnant but when he heard what she said, it instantly made him feel joyous.

"Why would I not be happy, idiot? I'm really happy to be a mother!" Liu Rushi patted his back and spoke with a smile on her face.

Her eyes were getting blurry and so, was Lei Qingshan's. He felt so happy that he was gonna cry with tears of joy. He broke from the hug and held her by her shoulders. "You really are happy?" He asked with an unbelievable expression on his face.

When Liu Rushi gave a nod, he asked again "Really?"

"Mhmm!"

"Are you serious?"

When he asked for the third time, Liu Rushi lost the control over her patience and she shouted "Yes... Yes... Yes! I'm really happy to bear your child." She instantly blushed and her face became deep red.

"Thank you!" Lei Qingshan sat beside her on the bed and rubbed her hands. "Thank you so much!" He exclaimed joyfully.

As Liu Rushi opened her mouth to say something, the door opened with a bang and Liu Rushi's parents entered inside, all worried.

Liu Jiangou: "Liu Rushi? Are you alright?"

Liu Manni: "Aigoo!! What happened to my dear daughter? Why are you on the bed like this?"

Seeing Lei Qingshan sitting beside Liu Rushi, Liu Manni and Liu Jiangou both felt agitated.

"Because of you my daughter is lying all weak on the bed." Liu Manni took long strides and slapped on Lei Qingshan's right cheek.

"MOM?" Liu Rushi yelled in anger and Lei Qingshan stopped her. "It is my fault. I deserve it." He pat on Liu Rushi's head and stood up in front of Liu Rushi's mother with his head lowered.

Lei Qingshan felt this slap to just be minimal for all the things he did. He believed that he deserved more than this, that is why he stood in front of her mother with his head lowered.

"You still have the audacity to stand here?" Liu Manni wasn't at all satisfied by slapping Lei Qingshan just once. As she saw him standing in front of her with his head lowered, she felt more angry.

Anger rushed within her veins and she stared at him with bloodshot eyes while clenching her fists even more tighter.

"You b*stard! You rogue!" Liu Manni again slapped him on his cheek and Lei Qingshan stood still.

She hit him on his chest with her hands and held him by his collar. "How dare you put my daughter in such a condition?" She slapped him again and Lei Qingshan held his cheek with pain.

He had made himself to bear the pain but this time... This slap was really hard that it made him wince.

Liu Rushi immediately got up from the bed to look after Lei Qingshan but her father, Liu Jiangou stopped her. She looked at him surprised and her father said "Let your mom do whatever she wants, that will make her feel relieved."

"But Dad..." Liu Rushi struggled to let go from her father's hold but his hold was very tight which was subsequently, not allowing to let her go.

As she heard her mother's loud cries filled with anger, Liu Rushi turned to face them. "Mom!! Please stop it! You are hurting him! He is getting hurt..."

Liu Manni felt awestruck upon hearing her daughter's words. She scoffed "He is getting hurt but don't you see how much we are hurt?"

Liu Manni again looked back at Lei Qingshan and again lifted her hand to hit him when Liu Rushi screamed "I'm pregnant!!"

The hand which was lifted was stopped in air and Liu Rushi's mother stared at her with disbelief. She had a 'what-did-you-say' look on her face.

Liu Rushi felt her father's grip loosen and she immediately ran and stood beside Lei Qingshan. Intertwining her hand with his, she proudly asserted with a smile "I'm three weeks pregnant, Mom and Dad!"

When her parents became more surprised, she elaborated "Lei Qingshan is the father and I'm the mother and you guys are the child's grandparents!"

She walked towards her mother and said with happiness "Congratulations, Mom... You are gonna be a grandmother!"

Rushing towards her father, she said the same "Congratulations, Dad... You are gonna be a grandfather!"

"When..." Hearing this surprising news, Liu Manni became speechless. Upon seeing her daughter's happiness only one question arose in her mind 'Is my daughter really happy to bear his child?'
