The Surprise [Part 1]

Finally, Liu Manni gave up "Fine! Just do what you want!" She asserted and walked out of the room dragging Liu Jiangou along with her.

Coming out, Liu Jiangou asked surprised "What was this? Why did you agree all of a sudden?"

Liu Manni closed her eyes and reminisced her daughter's smile when she was exclaiming that she was pregnant. Ever since Liu Rushi and her father had an argument, Liu Manni hadn't seen her precious daughter's wonderful smile.

Today, she was able to see her smile. Maybe her daughter knew that Lei Qingshan was the only one for her that's why she was smiling while proudly saying that she was pregnant.

"It was because of her smile! I saw her smile after so long... I don't want to lose her beautiful smile!" Liu Manni answered with teary eyes.

She instantly turned towards Liu Jiangou and faced him. "Please, agree to this marriage! I saw Lei Qingshan from up close... He has regret in his eyes, dear! I'm sure that he will keep her happy now!"

Liu Jiangou contemplated and replied "Okay! Let's go and say her then! I have been yearning for her hug." He strode towards the door to open it when Liu Manni stopped him. She held him by his hand and Liu Jiangou stared at her in surprise.

"See that!" She said and told him to view from the transparent glass of the door.

Liu Jiangou peeked and saw Liu Rushi applying some ointment on Lei Qingshan's face.

"She is happy being with him! I guess we can't separate her anymore!" Liu Manni also peeked through the transparent glass and smiled.

"Let's leave now! We will surprise her when she gets back home!" Liu Jiangou's eyes instantly brightened as he thought about surprising his daughter.

Meanwhile, Liu Rushi was scolding Lei Qingshan as to why he had stopped her from saying something to her mother.

"Ouch! Do it slowly. It hurts!"

"Slowly? When mom was shouting at you couldn't you have had stopped her?" She rolled her eyes and carefully applied ointment on his face.

As she saw the mark of her mother's ring on Lei Qingshan's face, Liu Rushi couldn't help but feel bad. The marks were too deep and it must have hurt a lot. Yet, this man had stood still enduring all the pain!

"I'm sorry!" After applying the ointment, Liu Rushi slowly apologized on behalf of her mother. She wasn't that bad to make her parents apologize. She can't and couldn't do that!

Liu Rushi loved both her parents and also Lei Qingshan. If she had to choose someone from them, then maybe she won't choose anyone or she would just choose them all.

Lei Qingshan flicked her forehead "Why do you have to say sorry? I deserved it all! In fact, I'm happy that your mother slapped me. I'm honored to be slapped by my future mother-in-law!" He proudly answered and kissed her forehead "You don't have to be sorry, my love!"

Liu Rushi gave a nod and hugged him. Suddenly, something crossed her mind and she asked "Were you the one who called them?"

"Yes!"

"But why?" Liu Rushi was confused as to why he had deliberately called her parents.

"I just didn't wanted your parents or you to have an argument with each other! I just want you all to be happy!"

Liu Rushi didn't know why he thought like this. Previously also, he had forced her to go and meet her father when he had scolded her and today, too... He purposely called them so that she could spend some time with her family.

Liu Rushi felt happy that she had someone like Lei Qingshan to be with her. Not only that, she was happy that she fell in love with him and not with some other random guy.

The next evening, Lei Qingshan dropped Liu Rushi to her house. While Liu Rushi insisted him to come inside, he rejected her by saying that her parents would be more angry to see him with her. However, neither of them knew that her family members had planned something good for the two of them.

"Is everything set?" Liu Manni asked the servants who were working inside the house.

The servants all gave a nod and Liu Manni smiled.

Then, she remembered something and approached an older maid "What about the room? Is it done?"

"Yes madam! The room is completely done as per your choice!" The old woman answered and bowed her head.

"Good! Liu Rushi will really be surprised to see all this." As Liu Manni finished her sentence, Yang Yue and Liu Mei both came and hugged her. "Sister will really be happy!" Liu Mei said with a smile and Yang Yue agreed.

"Oh! Did you call Feng Mian?" Liu Manni asked Yang Yue.

"Yes! She is just on her way!" Yang Yue replied.

"Aigoo! The decorations look so good!" As the three women were talking, Liu Jiangou came from behind them while observing the house decorated beautifully.

He smiled and walked closer to the three women. "Everything looks wonderful! I hope RuRu will be happy!"

"Of course, she will be, father-in-law!" Yang Yue assured and took Liu Mei along with her for doing some work.

Now, that it was just the two of them, Liu Jiangou walked closer to Liu Manni and asked her "Dear, Will our RuRU like it?"

"En! She will!"

After trying for so long, Liu Rushi finally gave up. She turned around to leave when she saw her brother Liu Zhang coming out of the house.

"Brother Zhang!" She smiled and rushed to hug him.

Her brother hugged her back. "How are you feeling now?"

"All good!" She replied and took a look at Lei Qingshan. He was still seated in his car looking at her with a smile on his face.

Liu Rushi squinted her eyes and inwardly cursed at him 'Bad guy!'

As Lei Qingshan saw that Liu Rushi was hugging her brother, he thought of leaving and going. He started the engine to leave, when he heard Liu Rushi's brother call his name.

Lei Qingshan halted and looked to her side. He saw Liu Zhang approach him.

Liu Rushi felt relieved that at least someone from her family was accepting Lei Qingshan. She stood there and watched her brother talking with him.
