The Doting CEO Alpha and his Wife

Paige arrived hours later than she thought in a new City. She had all the belongings in her car, she travelled light so she could get away quickly at any time. She pulled up to a white house that would be her new home. She got out of her car, lifted her two grip bags and took the keys out of the letterbox and walked up the white stairs and entered her house.

She found herself once again hoping that she can stay here a bit longer than the last place. She doesn't have a lot to unpack which is great just a few bags full of clothes, a laptop and some books. She can unpack in half an hour, it was just getting tiring moving all the time.

This time though Paige thought that she has found a cute wee house to rent, no roommates this time which is a huge bonus. The last roommate was nice and all but she drowned herself in perfume and brought guys home nearly every night and as Paige was trying to stay under the radar it didn't help when she had to kick them out every morning.

So next on her to-do list was shopping and job hunting. Hopefully, it wouldn't take too long as she needs the money. Paige wasn't fussy and would take anything going. She had a degree in computers and was once a badass secretary at a big company in New York but she had to keep that to herself as she had no references.

Paige only has her nana now so she keeps in touch often, she's cute when she talks to her through a video call and all I can see is her ear. Though her nana is getting there slowly. Enough procrastinating Paige thought food first.

Paige grabs her leather jacket and headed out the door with her keys and jumped in her Chevy it's black and pretty cool just a little old and battered, she would take it to the mechanic when she got a job and was more settled.

Paige started the car and headed for the shops, she found a big supermarket in no time. Time to stock up. Paige loves the food she just hated the shopping part. Yum, what can I make she thought.

Paige went to her favourite Isle first the bakery aisle. Her favourite thing to cook was sweets and cakes and bread. That's when she noticed a cute wee boy crying and three other boys around him making fun of him.

"Hey...leave him alone, where are your parents?" Paige walked over and asked the group of young boys.

The older boy looks up at Paige. "Our mum says he has no mother so what's wrong with us telling him that?."

Paige couldn't believe that kids could be so cruel to one another.

"Did your mum not also teach you not to say hurtful, rude things to others now go to your mother, don't have me find her and tell her what you have been doing". With that said, the boys left. Paige then turns to the boy crying and bends down and hand him a tissue. He holds on to Paige and hugs her, her heart went out to the young boy with no mother who was getting bullied.

"Thank you, pretty sister, I'm Charlie". The little boy spoke between his sobs.

"Hi, Charlie my name is Paige". He looks up at Paige with his big watery eyes and smiled. Goddess, he's adorable, has dark hair and big blue eyes.

"You have one beautiful smile, I think you shouldn't waste your tears on useless people. Now, who are you here with?". He looks around sadly and points.

"I'm here with her she minds me while daddy's at work but she's mean and doesn't do anything fun with me. She just talks to people all day and she smells so flowery. But you smell nice, just like chocolate cake". Cupcake was animated only when he talked about Paige, she couldn't help but notice his dislike for the girl he pointed at.

"I'll see if she can take you to your daddy, how about that?". Paige's picked him up and walks towards the lady talking a mile a minute to her friend.

"Excuse me, Charlie would like to see his daddy now, I think he's had enough shopping today". The girl looks Paige up and down and smirks. Why is she smirking Paige thought.

"You think looking like that you will get his dad to like you, ha... I have been trying for over a year now and I am way prettier than you. Come on Charlie let's go see your daddy". The girl smiles and reaches for Charlie. Paige knows she has no right but she didn't let her take him from her arms.

"On second thoughts I and Charlie can go see his dad you continue your conversation, what was it about hair, nails...so superficial". Paige turned to Charlie.

"Do you know where your daddy works?". She was sure cupcake was smart enough to know.

"Yes I can show you, can we go now?". He smiles and hugs Paige tighter.

"Sure cupcake". And with that Paige and Charlie leave the supermarket and head to her car while a banshee is screaming at the two of them. Paige just buckled Charlie in and start the car. Paige noticed the banshee is on the phone screeching. Probably to Charlie's dad, that's ok she will take him there straight away.
