The Diamond In The Rough✔

||Book 1 of the Diamond Series|| The world had fallen into chaos a long time ago. Creatures came and enslaved the human race: Vampires, Lycans/Werewolves and Demons. They took and slaughtered thousands of innocent people. Men, Women and Children. After suffering for ten years, another set of beings came. They had enormous wings and a shining silver rings floating above their heads. Rings that could be used as a weapon if necessary. These creatures were called 'Angels'. They were kind and honestly the opposite of every supernatural creature that existed in that era. They built their kingdom protecting as many humans as they could but the dark creatures had other things planed. There was a war that broke out. Every man for themselves or more specifically, every creature for themselves. The war went on for almost 500 years. Then there was a woman. She wasn't an Angel or Vampire or Lycan or Demon. Turns out she was a hybrid of all four. More powerful than anything. No one knows for sure how this hybrid was made and at some point, no one cared. Her name was Elaka. She was seen as a priestess. Elaka was the savior of all humans. She created a boarder and the world was divided in two: The Land of Light; was so peaceful that it had to be shielded from the world. Elaka had put a protective hidden wall around the kingdom so no one would come in unless brought in by the citizens. There were humans that lived there and their lives were a paradise. And total peace. And there was the Dark land. Where every other creature lived. The three major kingdoms tolerated each other for as long as they could. Years passed without war. Until Elaka suddenly vanished. Without her, the world would become chaotic again. The crystal was lost in the forest. So many have searched for it but never succeeded. Even if they ever found it, the legend says it was set in stone. It was glued to a tree and only 'The Diamond in The Rough' could pull it out. That person was never found.

CHAPTER 83:

This chapter is going to be longer than most and I'll try to make it as vivid and detailed as I can…

Third-Persons POV:

It truly was a sight to behold.

The sound of metal hitting against metal, men crying for help and the cries of war echoed for miles.

The ground vibrated underneath them.

No one in their correct minds would want to see what was going on.

Arrows were sent flying into the air, passing through anyone who was in its way.

The smell of death was lingering in the air.

It was every man for himself.

Most of the things that happened were unexpected and uncalled for.

"how did Hellen find a way to use the undead from the pits?" Jackie asked, while ripping off a head and turning to face her next victim.

Jackie was glad she had her sight this time because it would have been too much for her ears to handle.

There were too many vibrations and other interrupting shouts that would have jumbled up her ears.

"I don't know; but where is she? Getting her shoes ready or what?" Imogen punched a demon in the chest, ripped out its heart before landing a double kick and watch it fall.

They kept on pushing though; not wanting to give up as power coursed through their veins.

Rayhan was unfortunate to be cycled by the undead.

He was using his twin blades and was fighting with all he could but deep down he was panicking and feared this was the end.

Out of nowhere, Darya came in; kicking and punching them out of her way.

Little did they know with every hit she landed on them; she applied a potion that would burn them at the snap of her fingers.

"are you alright?" she helped him on his feet.

Before he could get distracted, she snapped her fingers and six of them were ablaze.

The smell of burnt flesh and smoke was in the air.

Meanwhile Lyra struggled with fighting four at a time.

She was grateful for all the training she had undergone but also felt like it wasn't enough.

It was almost like her enemies were playing games with her.

Bruising her skin but when she turned to retaliate, there was nothing there.

Before she could realize what was happening; another had struck her.

It was enough and she was vexed beyond measure.

For some seconds she didn't so anything; waiting patiently for the unfortunate person that would so much as touch her.

One came from the left.

Without wasting time, Lyra grabbed its throat and hit its entire body towards the ground before running with its body still in her hand and used its head to break anything in her way and demolish a house!

"wasn't that overdoing it?" Cyrus laughed, approaching her.

Somewhere from their right, a snarling demon ran towards them.

Cyrus simply bent its arm in an odd manner, slammed it to the ground before stepping on its head with so much force that it popped open and its brain spilled out.

"and you claim I overdo it" she shook her head with a sigh before continuing the fight.

Soon enough, fire balls were launched in the air, killing some who fought in the sky before getting those on the grounds.

"Watch out!" Eri yelled; coming to Javan and Nicolai's aid by sending the flaming ball of fire back to where it came from.

"thanks" Nicolai smiled.

Javan gave her a simple nod before shifting into a wolf and went on a full rampage.

"you really need to concentrate" Merah sliced a demon in two before approaching them.

Everyone was showing off their best move.

"prepare the archers!" The centaurs were the best archers around.

They all took their places and everyone else stood behind them.

"ready? Aim…FIRE!!!" Tamar's father commanded and they send hundreds of arrows flying as far as the eye could see.

"TAKE COVER!" Lucifer yelled.

Just as the arrows were about to make contact; the demons, undead and all others were untouched like they were protected under some kind of shield.

"it'll take more than that to get rid of my defenses" Hellen's voice echoed and we saw her flying closer.

"t-that's i-i-impossible" Sam shook in fear as we all stared at her in awe.

She had the wings of a bat.

And magical powers as well.

"now let the real battle begin" she smirked and sent a wave of lighting towards Lyra and her comrades.

If it wasn't for Darya's quick thinking, they all would have died.

Seeing Hellen as she was frightened them all not knowing how strong she had grown.

Two other women were with her and had mischievous grins on their faces.

One was a witch and the other was a skilled fighter.

"I should thank you…but it would be more fun to kill you" her feet gently touched the ground and she immediately ran towards Lyra.

She was almost too fast for them to see.

Hellen punched Lyra's right upper arm but she blocked with her wrists slightly pushing her away.

Lyra then spun around twice trying to land a back-hand on Hellen who was fortunate to duck in a matter of seconds.

The two came face to face before running into each other and ramming themselves on the head, gathering enough force to push themselves back.

The impact was strong enough so send a shockwave through the whole field.

Eri wrapped a whip around the waist of the swordsman and pulled her closer; kicked her in the stomach; pulled her closer and kicked her again.

The witch came in and punched her at the back of her neck; sending her to the ground.

The pain kept her down for several seconds.

Just as Imogen was about coming to her aid, Hellen grabbed her by the ankle, kicked her back and flung her in the air.

Lyra swung her feet in an attempt to kick Hellen's head but she rolled away unharmed.

She then used magic to grow multiple shards of ice which Hellen jumped high enough to dodge them.

As Hellen was brought down my gravity, she prepared to kick Lyra in the hips it wasn't quick enough.

Her ribs were met with a brutal force that disoriented her.

While in this state, she felt someone's arms wrap around her ankle, spinning her through the shards of ice before letting her collide with the witch.

Sending them both to the ground.

The swordsman then came out of nowhere, cutting Lyra in the stomach.

She doubled over and held her wound; trying to heal it up as fast as she could, but it didn't feel fast enough.

While she twirled her swords between her hands and approaching her victim, Imogen came and high-kicked her in the face; making her loose bearings before holding her wrist, climbing up her knee to her shoulder with one leg and using both legs on her lower back to press her into the ground.

The fight went on for so long that it seemed endless.

Lyra and her friends were beginning to get exhausted but Hellen's forces of evil had more than enough energy.

Fighting became a really difficult task

"STAND BACK!!!" Eri yelled, punching both her fists into the ground and rocks flew in the air.

She then fired them at the witch before coming closer; giving her an upper cut that sent her in the air.

While mid-air; Eri punched her stomach and held her throat, pushing her hard into the ground.

"I've had enough" Hellen stood for a while and began glowing; then multiple balls of flames were sent towards their direction.

"NO!!!" Lyra brought fought the rings of a battle angel and used it as a shield to protect those nearest to her.

But that didn't stop it from hitting others.

Sam noticed their distress and gave Hellen a huge cut on her back.

Her whimpers filled the air.

There was a merciless look on his face.

"that's for my sister!"

"I always wondered how you got to escape. I was about keeping my promise and send you to her; no matter, you're going to meet her today" Hellen made a clumsy swipe with a sword but a metal clink interrupted her.

Lyra was using her mothers' sword and boy was it strong!

It was strong enough to shatter that of Hellen's to bits.

"are you alright?" she turned to face him.

He only nodded.

Wondering how she was able to endure everything that has been happening.

Lyra did her best to hide her exhaustion since she was a bigger target than anyone else on the field.

Even if she wanted to rest or take a small break; there wasn't any opportunity as she had to prevent someone from killing her every thirty seconds.

Constantly fighting more than one opponent at a time; draining her energy even more.

The smell and taste of blood was something she just had to stomach.

This wasn't where to show defenselessness as it could be her down fall.

"heads up!" Imogen cried; taking a punch to the face and kick in the stomach from the swordsman all to protect Lyra and Sam.

Eri came swooping in jumping high enough to dodge the kick and land on the swordsman's back; making her bend even more.

She then back flipped and kick her in the air; instantaneously rolling forward just in time to let her fall atop her and dodge an energy blast from the witch before shooting the swordsman even higher into the sky.

It was a close call on her part as she barely dodged the blast.

That's all for part one
