As Lu Shen was reading the Shadow Cat's status, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his legs. He looked down to see blood flowing out from his right leg, Shadow Cat had launched an attack on him and he didn't even see how the cat attacked him. He suddenly thought of its skill.

Gritting his teeth, Lu Shen dodged the cat's razor sharp swipes again, each swipes narrowly missing his legs. Shadow Cat was fast and relentless, its eyes gleaming with a murderous glint. Lu Shen had increased speed, endurance and strength after devouring other low level beast, which gave him an advantage but the cat's skill made it a formidable opponent and make Lu Shen hard to land attack on it.

suddenly, Shadow Cat leaped and slashed at Lu Shen, its claws aiming for Lu Shen's neck. Again Lu Shen dodged and countered with his fists, but the cat's swift movements made it difficult to land a solid hit.

Again, the cat launched a particularly vicious attack aimed at Lu Shen's head to land deadly blow to Lu Shen, it intending to kill Lu Shen in one swift strike. However, it only managed to wound Lu Shen's right cheek, as Lu Shen speed was same as cat's speed, so he dodge cat's attack easily. He stumbled back, pain shooting through his cheek, realizing it wasn't as easy to kill any beast as he had thought.

The Shadow Cat prepared to pounce again, but this time, Lu Shen was ready, already familiar with the Shadow Cat's fighting style and attack patterns. He dodged its attack with swift footwork and as the cat landed, he activated his bloodline skill "Inferno Strike" Flames erupted around his fist, the heat scorched the air around him.

"kill"

With a roar, Lu Shen charged at the Shadow Cat. His speed now surpassed that of his opponent, and he closed the distance between them in an instant. The cat tried to evade, but Lu Shen was too fast. He landed a powerful flaming punch on the cat's side, sending it flying to the ground.

The Shadow Cat struggled to get up, its movements slowed by the severe burn. Seizing the moment, Lu Shen delivered a final, deadly blow to the cat's head, the flames of his Inferno Strike burning through flesh and bone.

"meow!!"The cat let out a final, pained howl before collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

Breathing heavily, Lu Shen stood over the fallen beast, his right foot still bleeding but he finally eliminated it.

"Fighting is indeed tough"

Pure energy once again surged through his body, strengthening him from within. But oddly, feeling a surge of agility erupt inside him, Lu Shen checked his status to see if there were any changes. He discovered a new skill.

"After devouring any demon beast, as long as you are compatible with their ability, you will gain it. But the chances are very slim" the spirit explained to Lu Shen.

"So that's the case. I should improve my strength in these three hours" he thought excitedly.

Understanding how he got his new skill, he realized that as a bloodline warrior, he was supposed to have only nine skills. But now, he could have more than one, which would definitely make him stronger than others.

Just then, a huge demonic monster appeared and sliced him in half.

There are many in this universe more powerful than you" The spirit advised Lu Shen as his arrogance grew due to the small increase in his strength.

Lu Shen felt chill down to his spine, as he thought that he is stronger than anybody with his new power.

"If I had to fight in the real world with this mentality, I would have faced a brutal death and I should not be arrogant. In this world, there is always someone better than me"

Observing Lu Shen, the spirit nodded,

"At least he understands what's better for him, not like some stubborn idiots"

Then, spirit explain Lu Shen about his past....

Lu Shen learned that the Origin Bracelet was born in the process of new universes forming, just like many other heavenly treasures. His previous master obtained it by chance in a ruin, where it was left to be found by a fated person. In a similar twist of fate, Lu Shen came to possess it by chance as well.

"Lu Shen, now you can go to the Star Hall, where the inheritance of my previous master's entire collection is present there. Practice the top level Cultivation technique to increase the purification of your bloodline" 

"So that was the case, then your master was so powerful. Where did your master come from?" Lu Shen asked the spirit.

But even after some time he didn't get any answer from spirit, so Lu Shen stop thinking about that.
