Ivy

"Ivy, I need you to wake up." The same few words kept repeating over and over in my head.

I wanted to scream. Darkness surrounded me.

No matter how far I walked.

How low I crawled.

How much I begged.

It squeezed at me from every angle. I was trapped. Screams could be heard.

Not the bad kind. But ones filled with pleasure and lust. Demons.

"IVY."

My name kept echoing throughout the darkness. Who was calling me?

"Hello?" I called out, my voice hoarse. Nothing greeted me back. I felt alone.

And for the first time in years, scared.

Kratos

"Ivy, please." I begged my unconscious sister to open those beautiful eyes of hers- Something we all got from our father.

I tightened my grip on her as I raced towards the portal. Demons and ghouls could be heard behind us.

I threw out my tactics of trying to remain stealthy. There was no use. Her scent was far too strong.

That's what happens when you bring such a pure and innocent soul down here. They shatter and demons get the jump.

"Kratos, there's no use!" Hades voice bellowed around us.

"Fuck off, you troll!" I yelled, and pushed farther up the mountain.

We were almost to where the portal should be.

I looked behind me, regretting the motion. A few demons were only a few feet away. Blood poured from their pores.

Sweat. Vile beings they were.

I whipped my head back around and the portal finally was in range.

"Ivy! Come on. You have to wake up." I shouted.

I was surprised to hear my own voice over the screams around us.

"K-kratos?" I jumped at the small voice, looking down at Ivy.

Her pale green eyes were peering into my black ones.

"Iv- FUCK!" I screamed and fell forward, dropping Ivy. She let out a cry, causing worry to fill my emotions.

I looked behind me to see a heavy steel arrow in my shoulder. I quickly ripped it out and scooped her back up.

As we reached the portal, I felt nails dig into my shoulder. Into my legs. Back.

I dropped Ivy.

"GO!" I yelled as demons slowly worked their way into my body.

This was my end.

"KRATOS." Ivy yelled and watched me with wide eyes.

"GO HELL DAMMIT." I shouted over the screams and the pain finally began hitting.

Each bite felt as if acid was seeping into my bones.

Each scratch felt as if it was done by a razor and lemon juice.

Ivy watched me. Horror on her face. She has been mortal a portion of her life. She's never witnessed death this extreme.

"GO!" I shouted and fell to the ground fully. My chest heaving against the grass.

Darkness began to overcome me. I looked up one last time.

Ivy was gone. The portal was closed.

Peace and relief flooded me.

"I love you Sis."
