Where am I?

I slowly wake up my vision bury.

I notice white all around me and a fresh smell.

I sit up and see the bandages on me. "No. NO, get them off. They will hurt me." I start to rip at the bandages trying to peel them off. I try with all my strength but they won't come off. I grab my head and rock back and forth. I start to cry whispering to myself.

I hear footprints coming from the right and a woman and a man walk up to me.

The woman who I am guessing is the nurse moves my hands from my head so j don't hurt myself. "Its ok calm down. You're safe."

I continue to walk back and forth "No you don't understand. T-the scars they will heal. They will put more. They'll rape me again. They are going to add more. The scars the can't heal!"

The nurse looks at the man and he nods. "I will be back. I'll get you some hot tea."

After the nurse leaves, I try to take off the bandages again but a hand stops me.

For the first time, I notice who the man was. It Alex.

"No, get me out of here! You don't understand them- they will hurt me again! They'll rape me like they always do! The scars can't heal!"

I feel a warmness envelop me as I realize I am being hugged.

I try to push away but he holds me tight. "They won't rape you again. Ok?"

"n-no I want to leave"

'Why is he doing this? He doesn't even know me...'

I feel myself slowly starting to lose consciousness and soon I am asleep, my head in the crook of his neck.

The next day I wake up again but this time the nurse is beside me watching me. "You're awake! You can go as soon as I check your bandages! You're rather fast at healing! Though you will have a limp for a while."

I look at her and nod. She walks over to me and fixes my bandages and wrap some new bandages. "Alright there you go! Now you can go."

I nod again and stand up limping towards the main entrance but with my luck, I run into Alex and his friend.

"Will! Hi. This is-" I walk around them and walk out of the castle doors.

It was awkward since most of the guards here know me from when I went here for my trial when I got raped. Although I was raped several times I only reported it once.

"Hey Will! Wait. Please talk to me!"

"I don't want to. And if you're expecting a thank you, you are not getting it."

Alex's footsteps speed up as well as the girls.

"Will, wait! I don't want a thank you, I want to know you're ok!"

The girl starts to speak quietly to Alex.

I use that distraction as a chance to get away but the girl catches up to me.

"Hello! I am Emily, Alex's friend. You're Will right?"

I nod and limp faster. "You should rest. You can stay at Alex's chambers until you get better. We don't have any guest chambers since the queens birthday is soon."

She rubs her neck and tries her best to keep up with me.

"Will you go? You're just making things harder for me."

"You wouldn't talk to Alex. He just wants to make sure you're ok."

"Well tell him I am fine. It's like every other normal day for me."

I stop and look at her before she can talk. "Will you go. Please?"

Emily sighs and nods "Ok..I'll leave. But the offer to live here for a few weeks why you heal is still open. Alex also wanted me to tell you that if one of us sees you hurt again you're coming to the castle."

I nod. "Ok. I guess I'll think about it. If things get worse I might come there."

Emily nods and walks off to Alex, Why I walk back towards my house.
