The princes mission

{ this is after Alex left. Alex is heading towards the trumpets right now. This chapter is also in Alex's point of view}

The trumpets sound again as I run down the streets of the village.

'I wonder how Will's doing. I can't believe he's been abused for 10 years..'

As I am running I bump into Emily, my personal assistant, and best friend!

" Emily! You wouldn't believe who I met-" I stop and look at her face. "Why are you glaring at me?" Her face hardens and she hits me. "You ran away from the castle!! The Queen was worried sick!"

I look down shamefully. "Sorry I just wanted to have fun!" Emily sighs. "Whatever. Let's get to the castle and you can tell me about your adventure there."

Emily drags me towards a carriage and we are soon on the way to the castle.

I run up the stairs to my room with Emily behind me.

I run into my room and shut the door behind me.

"Emily! Today was so fun! I first stole a pouch of money from uncle Eric! And then why I was escaping I ran into this boy, his name is Will! And then-" Emily stares at me. "You mean Will. As in William blackthorn?"

I stare at her questioningly. "Yeah, why?"

Emily's mouth drops open. "You mean you don't know?? He's been raped and he tried to kill himself! How did you not know?"

I stare at her dumbfounded. "I-I had no idea he was being sexually abused..we need to help him!"

I stare at Emily pleadingly. "No. We can't! Alex, you can't help him!"

I sigh and lay on my bed.

I grab a pillow. "But why? He's being raped, abused, and he's tried to kill himself!"

Emily glares at me. "No! Now go to sleep. You need it."

'I want to help him, Emily! And I will'

"Whatever. Good night."

"Goodnight Alex."

Emily shuts my door and turns off the lights.

I snuggle into my blankets and I soon fall asleep.

I wake the next morning and quickly spring from the bed. I get dressed quickly and

I run out the door and towards the kitchen grabbing toast. "I'm going out! Staff tells Emily or the Queen please!"

I run outside and back into the village where I last saw Will.

I enter the alleyway and see Will curled in a ball sleeping on the ground. 'aww he's so cute.'

I walk up to him and carefully pick him up. I look at his bruises, burns, and cuts. I notice there are a lot more and deeper cuts on his wrists and thighs.

I sigh. " Let's bring you to the infirmary in the Castle."

I start to walk towards the castle with Will in my arms.

I walk inside the castle and run into Emily. "Emily! Hi!"

Her mouth opens as she states at me. "What the hell?! Why is he here?"

" I am sorry Emily! I had to! He was just laying there curled into a ball on the ground. I couldn't just leave him!"

A whimper comes from my arms and I notice for the first time he's shaking. "please Emily! He's malnourished, freezing, and has broken ribs and bruises and burns and cuts everywhere! Please let me take him yo the infirmary."

Emily sighs and moves "Fine. ONLY because he looks bad!"

I hug her. "thank you!"

I walk past her and head towards the infirmary.

When I get there I set him down on a bed and tell the nurse what happened. She got to work immediately and wrapped his waist.

She had to take off his shirt and there are a lot more bruises and cuts on his chest and stomach.

After the nurse was done she picked everything and left. Will starts to slightly whimper and he curls into the blanket
