"Young One!" The Lizard called, as Yvie felt fuzzy and warm, feeling the need to keep sleeping.

"Young One! It repeated, now in a more urgent voice than before. This made Yvie try just a tiny bit to fully wake up, but just as she had decided to do so, something in her felt heavy and drowsy. She wasn't quite able to control it herself.

"We need to go!" The Lizard said, running around, as a deep rumbling made itself know.

"We need to go NOW!" The Lizard started screaming, but Yvie was more interested in the inside of her eyelids, than whatever was going on outside of them. A little tinge of instinct did keep her awake, but that wasn't enough.

Deciding to focus on it, she could feel it grow stronger. Engulfing her entire body, as she was finally able to wake up and look around.

The cave was rumbling. Not much, but enough for both the Lizard and Yvie to get close together by instinct.

'What's happening?' Yvie hissed, forgetting she was a snake. Which didn't really seem to matter, as the Lizard understood her anyway.

"The gate knows we don't belong here. It wants us out" The Lizard said, not being entirely sure if that was what was going on, but it didn't feel like mentioning that.

'But I MADE the gate' Yvie was hissing violently, deeply annoyed by the situation. She was the one who made it, so why didn't it like her?

"Using symbols from a pre-existing gate" The Lizard tried, sounding once again convincing, but lying through it's teeth.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Yvie yelled, transforming back to a girl at the same time, as her rumbling voice deafened the cave for just a second. Almost as if her outbreak had shocked it to silence.

"I mean what I say" The Lizard defended itself, as it didn't actually have any real answers, but was busy to pretend otherwise.

"You're useless!" Yvie yelled, feeling an anger growing in her body. A well-known anger, but she couldn't quite control it, though she knew what was coming.

"If you just listened to my story, none of this would have happened in the first place!" The Lizard gave back, being quite annoyed at the entire situation as well.

"Then let's get out?!" Yvie yelled, trying to calm herself, but only making herself more annoyed.

"If I could get out, I would have gone out, but there is no door!" The Lizard yelled back. Yvie looked at where the door was supposed to be, and noticed for the first time since she woke up, that the door was indeed gone. This shock knocked her out a bit, making her forget she was angry, as well as why, and just turned back to a snake in her confusion.

'I just wanna sleep' She complained a bit, as she was getting ready to nap again. The same thing from earlier was pulling at her, telling her to just comfortably go to sleep, as well as keep sleeping.

"You cannot sleep" The Lizard argued, not really having any actual arguments.

'Don't tell me what to do' Yvie hissed back, feeling her own annoyance stabbing back at her. What was this nagging feeling she suddenly got? Not only had she been annoyed and sleepy, she also hadn't quite thought things through. Something that was new to her, but that she still tried to use as much as she could.

A foreign feeling started to tear at her, as she decided something was wrong, and once again forced herself awake.

'We need to get out of here' Yvie said, agreeing with the Lizard's urgency from before. She started slithering around, looking at the cave, trying to find something she could carve on, or slither out of. But much unlike the earlier gate they had been in, this didn't seem to connect to any other rooms. Nor did there seem to be anyone staying there, they could ask.

'I'm sorry Li.. Eh…. Did I ever get your name?' Yvie said, feeling guilty at her behaviour, and even more guilty as she realized she had constantly just called the Lizard Lizard, without knowing it's proper name. And this was after she made a big deal out of her being Yvie, no less!

'What if I was just called Snake or Human? I wouldn't like that either' she pondered to herself in shame.

"I do not have a name" The Lizard said, not making Yvie feel any less guilty.

'What should I call you, then?' Yvie hissed askingly.

"Whatever you desire. I do not have a need for a name" The Lizard said, making Yvie pity the poor being in front of her. She had dragged this little being out with her, not even knowing it's name, and now it was telling her it didn't need one, when she knew how nice a name was.

'I'll give you one, then' Yvie decided, but she didn't quite know a good one yet.

'Later. Let's first find a way out' She added, as the rumbling reminded her of their mission.

There was something odd with this place. Yvie had noticed it being different, but rather than different, it felt more… Fake. Like something here wasn't real. Parts of it was an illusion. While other things got twisted in a way that seemed real, but was fake as well.

"I think this place is playing with our instincts" Yvie said, turning back to a girl. If her theory was true, it was better to feel her instincts less, as they would only make her more confused. So for now, she would focus more on her human part.

"You can't listen to your instincts too much, here" Yvie warned the Lizard, looking at it with a stern look. It didn't say anything back. It had felt a bit off as well.

"There is no voice!" The Lizard suddenly said, as if it was the missing piece they had finally found. Yvie looked at it with an unsure look, as she kind of could see what it meant, but also had no clue.

"Every gate needs a guide. Otherwise it will break down. Like the one I left" It explained, but Yvie still didn't fully understood what it was saying. The way the Lizard talked made it sound like it was common knowledge, but even when she tried to collect her thoughts, it made no sense to her.

"But I made the gate" She found herself repeating, not really seeing why she shouldn't have a final say about it.

"The gate is connected to the outside world with it's symbols" The Lizard said, though it had no connection to the previous statement it had uttered. At this point, it was so desperate to come up with the correct answer, that it didn't bother explaining anything.

"Oh no!" Yvie shrieked, as a horrible realization dawned upon her, as she listend to the Lizard.

"I MADE THE GATE!" She once again repeated, now with another feeling behind it.

"You told me so yourself! The carvings was filled with my poison!" She said, horrified, feeling like everything suddenly made sense at once. The reason everything felt wrong. The reason everything wasn't right. The reason why she just felt like sleeping.

The gate was poisoned!
