Betrayal

I went straight into my tent, arranged my things and started making my bed. My whole body was aching afte all that rush. As soon as I hit my camping bed, I felt asleep as soon as I layer down.

"Serena, it's 10 o clock. We need to be going for those activities." I heard someone trying to wake me up. I was too exhausted to even open my eyes to who that person.

"I ain't coming, I ain't even that situation where I can do any running or climbing." I said declining straightly to get up.

"But-" I covered my head with the blanket, unbothered of what the person is trying to say.

It was afternoon, I was force to wake up for another time, I declined to get up for the lunch. Aphrodite somehow brought lunch for me and I ate in greedily.

"it's decilious!" I said

"Told ya! You had not even eaten breakfast and now you were even declining to have lunch. Your body needs energy. You were killing you hunger somehow by sleeping...." Ahprodite started lecturing me. I completely ignored.

"it's 7 o clock, now atleast get up" I heard voice again.

"5 more minutes." I said and went back to sleep

I kept on doing 5 more minutes, 5 more minutes not realizing that an hour had passed. All my friends had given up me and went for treasure hunt leaving me behind in the campsite.

It was dark and calm, all the cold breeze was blowing. It was very peaceful and I kinda loved it.

Suddenly I felt some sensation going in my tent. A wave of fear hit me up. I on the LED light in the tent.

"Jared" I said in complete Serena.

"Well hello!" He said with an awkward smile

"What are you doing in my tent, Why you going through my things? What are you seeking in my bag?" I asked utterly confused

There was pin drop silence out there.

"Why were you going through the curse book?" I said him with The Curse Book in his hand.

He faced his gaze toward the ground. I screamed, "Jared Answer Me"

"Serena look...." He was trying to explain

"No, No excuse Jared this time. I need my answers what on earth were you doing with Book? What you wanted? The book or... Answer Me." I said on the top of the lungs. The feel of betrayal started hurting me, though I was trying to convince my heart that the situation isn't what it seems.

"Ahhhh okay, You are right I wanted the Curse Book from the very beginning." Jared said as he look straight into my eyes.

I was taken back a little, "What do you mean by from the very beginning? What are you upto Jared?" I asked as I was on a verge of crying, I hated such dramatic situations.

"Serena, Serena you are so naive. You trust people like that." He said and started laughing.

"Jared..." I said as I came closer to him with my red eyes

"Baby, do you really think I loved you? Like really?" He said as he laughed," I was playing all this while from the very beginning only to get the curse book. I had even proposed you in the very beginning to come close you and to get know Uncle Benjamin better, it was all useless, all in vain. But it's never the late.i got what I wanted." He said as he gaved me the most devilish smirk.

"No, No Jared. This is not you. This someone else for real. You ain't like this." I started screaming in denial. It was just impossible for me to accept the fact that He can betray me like this even though he had cheated on before but him claiming that he hadn't not, had brought of ray of light in my soul.

"Oh dear Serena, Do you seriously think that you know me that well?" He asked. He could have been a little bit bad person, even a cheater but had never expected him to be that pure evil.

"What are you even gonna do with the book?" I asked in frustration

"You will come to really soon sweetheart!" Jared said

"No Jared, You can't do this." I said as I went really close to him. He pushed me up straight.

"Oh come on Serena, Don't be an overdramatic woman now. Go and call you friends especially Alan and tell them how Jared betrayed us all." He said and walked out of the tent with full control.
