What's wrong?

The male nurse seemed shocked, but reacted quickly by turning Kaiden's head slightly to the side.

The vomit, consisting of slightly transparent brownish fluid, showered his lower torso and the front of the wheelchair.

The nausea seemed to extend until the repeated vomiting subsided. Followed by his body and the wheelchair, the asphalt floor was now contaminated.

The sudden nausea seemed to pass, and the orderly rubbed his back in the same careful rhythm.

The orderly anxiously asked if Kaiden was all right after helping him.

However, the somewhat pale expression on the motionless Kaiden's face immediately revealed that something was wrong.

With his lips still slightly parched and faded, he opened his mouth and confessed that he had not been feeling well for some time, that he had been experiencing headaches and nausea.

But it had only really gotten worse after the cocoa.

The nurse seemed shocked with a slightly confused look that it came on so suddenly. He asked him if there were any other complaints, but Kaiden denied it.

Shortly after, some raindrops seemed to fall as well. At first the two didn't notice, but after only a few seconds the drizzle intensified, and more liquid flowed down their faces and bodies.

The orderly didn't hesitate long and grabbed the handles of the wheelchair, made of steel, with his ten long fingers, clutching them even tighter with the heels of his hands.

With an impulsive push, he accelerated, his muscles completely tense from head to toe, almost to the point of cramping.

The adaptability of the muscles enabled the keeper to evade or forestall all variables, however sudden.

The nocturnal calm, still broken by this old man dressed in somewhat soiled clothes, was made pleasant by the cold, which was a refreshing break. But for Kaiden, it was fatal.

While it was not as if he was dying, the nurse felt compelled to eliminate any possible negative effects that might affect the patient. So the first and last option now was to move him to a slightly warmer and more restful area.

The steps of the gigantic looking caregiver became similar to a giant as he enlarged them even further.

They resembled the long jump of an elementary school student. These skillful and wide, yet quick steps enabled them to reach their destination in a short time.

The sensors detected a resistance of an object, as a laser that shone continuously sensed an interruption.

This interruption triggered a reaction that relayed the information to open the doors.

The doors, made of glassy material with aluminum frames, seemed to open with a jerk in an instant just before the collision.

Only one step was needed now, that of the caretakers to bring the two into the safe warmth.

The last big step, consisting of rolling wheels, completed the mission, and they entered the warming atmosphere that gave goosebumps.

The clothes, though only slightly soaked, now seemed colder.

"What luck," the orderly said after Kaiden gave a strong snort of his bacteria.

Shortly after, Kaiden could see that it was now pouring with rain due to the quick impact.

Not only did a shiver come over him because of the cold, but also the memory of the extreme storm of the tsunami.

The keeper did not hesitate for long and kept running.

The wetness of the rain that penetrated their clothes dripped down as if from a faucet at a faster pace.

They literally laid a trail that told everyone where they were going. But Kaiden did not care at that moment. He was a bit dazed and felt that he was not well.

He wondered if it was a mistake to go outside right after waking up from the coma, and half regretted it.

Kaiden was also more familiar with the hospital's surroundings by now. From what he had witnessed so far, he could tell that this hospital was quite simple in design.

It was divided into several areas, branches, so to speak, each for its own specialty or tasks.

The ones he could keep so far were the entrance, reception and administration, and after a few branches nearby, the emergency room, which had its own entrance.

Then there was the intensive care unit, where he was as he was in a coma and in life-threatening danger. Likewise, everything seemed to be fairly close together, so it was a fairly small hospital by general standards.

The squeaking wheels, triggered by the rolling, seemed to bother Kaiden a bit while he was thinking. Why was that, he wondered.

However, he wanted to continue focusing and let the caregiver do his work. He sneezed once more and continued to immerse himself in his thoughts.

He realized that he was already heading towards his room and could deduce from the corridor that the diagnostic department must be to his left.

Deep in his thoughts, he now only wondered where the kitchen and the rehabilitation station were located.

But the question quickly resolved itself, as he would be taken there sooner or later anyway.

Coming out of his thoughts, the squeaking noises of the soaked wheels seemed to worsen. His head was already throbbing a bit, as if he had a severe migraine at the moment, akin to a pounding blow.

While he again wondered where this pain was coming from, he heard a door handle, which had the same sound as his room's. The speed slowed down, and so did the caregiver's enormous steps.

The now heavy breath of the caregiver, also drenched, sounded even louder as he set Kaiden down and began to breathe.

But this pause didn't last long, as the caregiver didn't take much time and grabbed Kaiden from his wheelchair.

He held him carefully in the air with his strong arms and transported him gently towards the bed.

However, instead of putting Kaiden in bed, he turned to the right just before and entered another room. The room was a bit dark, as no light was coming in, but this changed quickly as the lights came on with the push of a switch.

Kaiden saw himself, carried by a man proportionally huge to him, without any ability to move.

But Kaiden's eyes didn't open so wide because he was being carried like a child, but because his entire appearance had changed completely.

In the reflected image of his own embodiment, he saw the similarly bluish, graying eyes and his white skin.

But this was the only identical thing. His hair, which used to be short, was now long, and besides, his previously somewhat muscular body now looked completely slender and bony. The absence of limbs was not surprising.

Yet Kaiden seemed surprised.

But this amazement didn't last long, as the caregiver suddenly started undressing him. The caregiver reached for the clothing made for patients and pulled it off like a shirt.

Kaiden, who couldn't do anything, had to endure it and accept it. The minutes, up to the final seconds, passed.

The caregiver seemed to be finished and went to the white wardrobe to get new white-and-blue-striped clothing for Kaiden.

But before that, he dried him with an equally white cloth, as he had just been soaked by the warming shower and cleaned from the cold and impure wetness of the rain.

The caregiver seemed to take his time and, with care and delicate handiwork, gently dried the yet so fragile Kaiden.

Indeed, he was a master at his work, thought Kaiden. He was uncomfortable with this, but he now thought that at least he was in confidential and capable hands.

The final rubs went over Kaiden's scarred skin and removed the last dead remnants of skin still on his body.

While the caregiver gently put the striped shirt on him, the door was already being opened again, and familiar steps entered the room.

Kaiden, with an improvement in his headaches and nausea, could recognize who it was.

The skillful yet very loud steps filled the still room at that time, and the old doctor from the morning, with his cup of coffee, seemed to have arrived again.

"Good evening, gentlemen," now echoed after the loud steps in a deep, rough voice.

"Good evening," was shortly returned.

"But why are you here, Chief Surgeon?" asked the caregiver.

"It's just that the results of the MRI have been announced, and as a neurosurgeon, I need to discuss them with my patient. So if you would please."

"Of course," replied the caregiver and stepped aside.

Several steps from the two of them now filled the room, followed by an iron silence.

The slightly opened windows created hissing sounds from the pressure of the wind, and the pouring rain produced a perpetual series of loud impacts.

The waves formed by dark clouds now generated an even greater storm of rain, making the windows hiss even more.

As the old man in the white coat approached slowly, a sudden white beam appeared, illuminating the entire room for a fraction of a second.

The approach continued until the Chief Surgeon stopped and finally spoke. However, just before that, he was interrupted by an extremely loud bang.

A violent thunderclap sounded together with the words. "you have a glioblastoma."
