Chapter 9 Grandma's Joy

"Don't you think we should help them with maybe half of the money? you know we can afford it and besides what if they tell Dad when he comes back from his vacation, you know my father dotes on them the most." Alexander asked the moment they got into their room. He didn't want to help but he was just scared of his father's nagging.

"Don't worry dear, they can do nothing." Esther said, she needed to distract her husband again from talking about Betty so she went closer to him and started kissing him passionately.

"Mmm I've missed you so fucking much my love" Alexander said in a hoarse voice as they begin to undress each other forcefully. 

"come on it's not been long we did this hunny" she replied trying to take off his shirt.

"mmm I know love but I love being together with you.."

"Me too....you need to be quick, you know Angie will be home soon...ahhhh"

In the Hospital

"Oh Angie I was just about to leave, I need to be at work. You know I've missed work for a day and I'm just a new worker ...I don't want to leave you alone but I have to" Leticia said sadly.

"It's okay Lit, I understand, I'll be with Henry.. oh my God you're awake Junior.. How are you feeling dear" 

"Okay dear I promise I'll be back soon" Leticia gave Betty a hug and kissed Henry on the cheek and left. She was already aware about what went on with the Rockson's because Betty called her when she was leaving the house.

Henry was quietly looking at Betty. He could see how swollen her eyes were and knew that it was because of him "sister, I'm sorry for getting you worried" he said softly. "Shh don't talk dear , have you eaten yet, let me get you something. I promise you'll be fine. I promise" but deep in her heart, she was promising to get the money before the next three days no matter what she had to go through.

Smith Groups of Company.

Jack was on a video call with his grandmother. She was already home from the hospital.

"Grandson I'm so happy, I spoke with my childhood friend Billy Rockson on a video call after you left the hospital. He's actually on a vacation in Paris but I had an agreement with him and he's ready to give his granddaughter's hand hahaha, he'll even be coming here soon so we can start the wedding preparations. Ooo how happy you have made me Grandson, I love you so much". Jack remembered his grandmother's illness and was glad to see his grandmother happy. If he could keep her this happy all the time she wouldn't have any problem with her health. 

"Grandma you should be in bed by now."  Jack pretended to be angry.

"Oh come on , I'm doing all these because of you, you ungrateful brat! " Grandma snorted.

"Haha don't be angry. Who's that... woman, my soon to be w.. wife" he stammered and drunk water.

"Oh yes , she's a Rockson. She's so beautiful. You'll love her soo much. I made a reservation for both of you tomorrow morning for breakfast what do you think dear". Grandma asked happily.
