Authors Note

Dear Readers,

I first started reading fantasy novels when I was six years old. At the time I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in an alternative world, fascinated by diverse cultures, races, and enchanted by intricate magic systems. However, as the years passed, my enthusiasm waned. Having read numerous novels, I began to notice striking similarities, and many stories felt like mere echoes of others. Originality seemed scarce and fantasy novels weren't as exciting as before.

Eventually, I stumbled upon web novels and I was immediately hooked. These stories ventured into fresh ideas and concepts, rekindling my excitement for the genre. I loved seeing the interactions between readers and authors and actively took part in discussions on forums. Simultaneously, I explored other mediums like Webtoons and Mangas, discovering some of the most captivating narratives I had ever encountered.

Unfortunately, I quickly noticed started to discover something I like to call "lazy writing." To clarify, by no means are the authors on this platform slacking. Indeed, I am immensely impressed by the amount of work they publish every week. However, I noticed many plotlines becoming predictable and "convenient" for the main character. More importantly, text passages were sometimes spiked with grammatical and spelling errors and became incoherent and awkward to read. While I am not a English native speaker myself, I will try my best to give everyone a pleasant experience with my story. I am sure you will notice some mistakes in my text, and I am hoping you can help me by pointing them out so that I can improve.

Despite my critique of the inconsistency and occasional lack of quality in works on this forum, I hold deep respect for every author who shares their novel. It was these "mistakes" that gave me the courage to come up with my own story. While I dabbled in writing a few short stories during my youth, nothing approached the ambition or scale of the following work. With this story, I tried to include what is most important to me and to explore what fantasy can be for me.

Presumably like many authors my age, I draw inspiration from a mix of sources. Growing up, I cherished the classic Western epic fantasy stories, characterized by the timeless conflict of good versus evil, intricate magic systems, and diverse races. Conversely, I found profound enjoyment in Web and Light novels, which delve into new themes, boast faster pacing, and don't necessarily adhere to a rigid story thread..

In my novel, I try to explore diverse characters and follow various plotlines that will eventually intertwine. However, given my commitment to an 80-hour workweek, completing the story will take time, and regular updates might be a challenge.

Nevertheless, I don't want to keep you waiting any longer. This is the first fantasy story I've endeavored to write. I hope you enjoy it and eagerly await your thoughts!
