Time for the truth

As the portal closed behind them, Logan guided Betty and the still-unconscious Bruce Banner into the spacious, modern living room of one of his safehouses. Kara followed closely, her expression unreadable as she assessed the situation.

Logan turned to Betty, who was visibly shaken but holding herself together. "You okay?" he asked, his voice softer than usual.

Betty nodded, though her eyes were filled with concern as she glanced down at Bruce. "I'm fine, but I'm more worried about him."

Logan gave her a reassuring nod. "Don't worry. He'll be okay. Kara, can you get them settled here? Make sure they have everything they need."

Kara nodded and led Betty towards a guest room, leaving Logan alone in the living room for a moment. He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

The fight with the Hulk had been fun, but it was nothing compared to what was coming next.

Deciding it was time to check on another matter, Logan made his way to the medical bay, where several Zetas, Kara's elite team, were busy treating various patients.

The room was sterile and efficient, filled with advanced medical equipment and soft, ambient lighting.

Logan spotted Lupa, one of the Zeta medics, who is skilled in magic and medicine, standing beside a bed where a man lay with one arm, she had her hand on his head, helping him recovering from a serious mental state.

Logan approached the bed, his gaze fixed on the patient. "How's he doing?" he asked, his tone serious.

Lupa, who later stopped and began checking the man's vitals, looked up at Logan. Her expression was calm, professional. "He's doing fine. By tomorrow, we'll be able to remove all the mental damage from him. Physically, he's stable and healing well. By tomorrow he'll do fine."

Logan nodded. "Good. Tomorrow's the day then."

Lupa simply nodded. Logan turned away from the bed, his mind already moving to the next step.

The next morning, Logan and Kara sat together at the breakfast table.

The atmosphere was relaxed, but there was an undercurrent of tension that neither of them could ignore. They ate in relative silence until Kara finally broke it, her eyes fixed on Logan as she sipped her coffee.

"What are you planning with Bucky?" Kara asked, her voice carefully neutral.

Logan stopped eating, setting his fork down as he looked up at her. His expression was thoughtful, but there was a steely resolve in his eyes. "Tony and Bucky both need this."

Kara tilted her head slightly, curious but also cautious. "You know it's going to be a mess, right?"

Logan leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. "Send the files to Tony and tell him we'll see him soon."

Kara frowned, clearly not convinced. "We specifically removed those files from the net, Logan. If you send them to Tony, he might lose it. He's not exactly known for handling bad news well and isn't Bucky your friend, why are you handling him to Stark."

Logan sighed deeply. "He is my friend, Kara. That's exactly why I'm doing this. It's for his own good. Tony deserve to know this and If Tony learned the truth from someone else, the hatred would consume him. I need to control how this plays out and Bucky… he needs to be free of this shadow. It's the only way forward."

Kara sighed, but she didn't argue further. She knew that once Logan had made up his mind, there was little anyone could do to change it. "Alright," she said quietly, "I'll send the files. But just be ready for the fallout."

"Thanks, Kara."

The two of them finished their breakfast in silence, both lost in their own thoughts about what was to come.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Tony Stark was deep in his workshop, surrounded by the holographic projections of his latest project. He was working tirelessly, driven by a new obsession: creating an armor capable of going toe-to-toe with Logan.

The footage from the recent battle in Harlem had been unclear, but it had shown enough. Logan's strength, speed, and resilience were beyond anything Tony had faced before. If there was going to be a reckoning, Tony wanted to be prepared.

"Jarvis, we need to reinforce the structure," Tony muttered, examining the design of the armor on the screen in front of him. "Let's assume Logan's claws can cut through almost anything for the reference. We'll need to add some components to titanium alloy for the outer shell, and maybe a kinetic energy absorber for the impact."

"Of course, sir," Jarvis responded smoothly, his AI voice ever calm. "But even with the best materials, Mr. Logan's abilities present a unique challenge."

Tony smirked, his mind already racing with possibilities. "That's why we're going to outthink him, Jarvis. We need countermeasures, contingencies… Something that can keep up with his speed and his strength."

As Tony continued to tweak the design, his focus was interrupted by Jarvis once more. "Sir, you have just received a message from Ms. Kara. It includes some documents and several video files."

Tony paused, his interest piqued. "What do they want now? Doesn't 38% of my company and those energy projects with Logan Enterprises satisfy them?" He chuckled to himself, but there was an edge to his voice.

Despite the quip, Tony knew that anything coming from Kara and Logan was serious. With a sigh, he set his tools down and leaned back in his chair. "Alright, Jarvis. Open them."

The holographic screens shifted, displaying the first of the files. Tony's easygoing demeanor faded as he watched, his expression growing more serious with each passing moment.

Tony Stark sat in his workshop, the cold blue light of the holographic screens casting shadows on his face. It contains the plan of hydra to create super soldiers and who they operate.

The message from Logan still echoed in his mind as he hesitated, his finger hovering over the play button for the video file labeled *Winter Soldier*.

With a deep breath, Tony clicked on the file. The screen flickered, and the grainy footage began to play. His heart pounded in his chest as he watched the familiar scene unfold—a dark road, a car crash, and then the figure of the Winter Soldier, cold and relentless, carrying out his mission with ruthless efficiency.

Tony's hands clenched into fists as he watched his parents' final moments. The pain and anger surged within him, a storm of emotions threatening to consume him. But he held it in, forcing himself to stay composed. He couldn't afford to lose control—not now.

As the video ended, Tony closed his eyes, taking a moment to gather himself. He could feel the fury bubbling beneath the surface, but he couldn't let it take over. Not yet.

Steeling himself, Tony opened the next file. The screen shifted to a familiar scene: the old footage of his father explaining the Stark Expo model.

Tony watched silently, the memories flooding back. And then, there it was—the message he had seen before, but that never failed to strike him deeply and then he saw his father saying something he didn't before.

"Tony, you're too young to understand this right now, so I thought I would put it on film for you. I built this for you. And someday you'll realize that it represents a whole lot more than just people's inventions, I'm limited by the technology of my time but you will change this world Tony ....someday… but remember...My greatest creation… is you."

Howard Stark's voice echoed in the room, resonating with a meaning that Tony felt in his core. It was a reminder of the legacy he carried, and the expectations that had been placed on him.

But there were more videos to watch, and Tony wasn't done yet. He clicked on the next file, and what he saw took him by surprise. The screen showed his parents again, but this time, they weren't alone. Standing beside them were Logan and Kara, both looking the same, Their looks didn't change by the years.

They were talking, laughing even, and then Logan turned to Howard with a grin. "Do you have a message for your son? We can save this for when he's all grown up."

Tony watched, his breath catching as his father's face softened. Howard looked directly into the camera, his expression serious but filled with a warmth that Tony hadn't seen in a long time.

"Tony, I want you to know that everything I did, I did for you. You're going to change the world, son. And no matter what happens, remember this: I'm always proud of you."

Howard paused, his eyes glinting with a mixture of pride and concern. "I know you've got that Stark stubbornness in you, but don't let it lead you down a path you'll regret. Whatever you do, make sure it's something you can live with."

Maria Stark who is seated next to Howard turned to the camera, her smile bright and full of love. "Tony, you were always such a curious, brilliant boy. I know you're going to do amazing things. But don't forget to take care of yourself. And please, don't let the world harden you. We love you, Tony, more than anything."

She reached out, as if trying to touch him through the screen, her eyes full of the maternal warmth Tony remembered so well. "Don't do something you'll regret. We want you to live a life you're proud of, one filled with love and happiness."

The video ended, leaving Tony in stunned silence. He sat there, staring at the now-black screen, the weight of his parents' words pressing down on him. This was more than just a message; it was a reminder of who he was, and who they believed he could be.

As the silence stretched on, Jarvis's voice gently interrupted. "Sir, Logan has requested a meeting this evening."

Tony blinked, snapping out of his reverie. He took a deep breath, the emotions swirling within him slowly settling into a cold determination.

"Jarvis," he said, his voice steady but laced with resolve, "get the suits ready. It's time to have a talk with The Wolverine."
