(A/N For those interested in future events I posted an additional auxiliary chapter with the future alliances Sinbad will have.)
After the party at the bar, everyone walked out with great joy as we laughed and sang all the way to the execution ground.
The lovely Miss Fortune and I were leading the group our arms around each other neck as we sang joyously.
We finally reached the execution ground, and it was as expected of such a grand event fully packed. We kept drunkenly pushing our way to the front without care completely ignoring the displeasure of the crowd.
As the town clock indicated noon, the sea of crowd parted letting through an imposing 9 feet tall man with straight black hair and the mightiest moustache I have ever seen. The man wore a red and gold captain overcoat, a green shirt, dark pants and a white scarf. The pirate king was escorted through the crowd by six executioner marines. They all held long spears in their hands and wore brown helmets and a completely brown marine uniform.
The look of determination and the eyes full of life of Gol D. Roger were far from a those of a man about to be executed.
His presence alone managed to slightly sober me up.
The man valiantly climbed the steps leading to the execution stand. Without flinching or showing any reaction as every step brought him closer to the awaiting jaws of Death.
The man finally reached the top of the stand turned around toward the crowd and sat down with a smile on his face.
"All right, let's get this over with quickly" He said.
The executioners hearing his words crossed their spears together and prepared themselves to impale the man next to his neck area, through his shoulder and to effectively pierce his heart.
Taken by a sudden wave of nostalgia, and with the alcohol in my blood. I drunkenly shouted. " H-Hey Pirate.. *Hiccup* — Pirate King!"
The whole chattering of the crowd stopped as I interrupted the execution.
"What did you — What did you do with that legendary Treasure you found? —That Great Treasure *hiccup* The One Piece!" I asked drunkenly.
"EHEHEHEHAHAHAHA! My treasure? If you want it, you can have it! Find it! I left everything this world has to offer there!" He said with a large defying smile on his face.
The two executioner quickly proceeded to execute the legendary man, who had single handedly managed to conquer the ruthless sea.
The points of the spears as they pierced and killed him were barely noticeable to me, as I was completely taken by his broad smile. The legendary man kept on smiling till his last breath.
A single thought crossed my mind, 'A man dies when he's forgotten.' I now completely understood the meaning of Oda's quote. The Pirate King still lived on, even as his body was devoid of life. He continued living in the hearts of every single person who had witnessed his execution.
The stillness and quiet atmosphere left behind after his death was proof of it.
"Pirate King! I, Sinbad! Swear to conquer these seas as you once have! And find your legendary treasure!" I shouted with all the air in my lungs, completely sobered up by the situation.
Everyone at the plaza turned to look at me in wonder as I shouted my claim. All of them stunned that such a young man would make such a bold statement.
"Arrest him!" Shouted one of the marine captains, to his stunned subordinates.
As soon as the marine officer gave the order all hell broke loose. As more and more civilians claimed that they were leaving in search of the One Piece.
Seeing as I was a main target by the angry marines marching toward me
I turned to Sarah Fortune the young redhead in my arms. She was still visibly stunned at what I had publicly claimed.
"Well my lady, it seems we'll have to reschedule our little outing." I said with a smile.
Quickly planting a kiss on the stunned woman cheek, I took off running through the crowd with an agility worthy of a cat.
I zigzagged through the crowd with astonishing speed, reading the crowds flow to scurry around.
With Sinbad talent it didn't take me more than 15 minutes to completely lose the marines chasing after me. All I needed was to ride the wave, as I could read people as I well as I did the sea.
I ended up in the harbour, where a bunch of big ships were anchored. I could see a lot of citizens made pirate rushing around trying to depart for their next great adventure.
Looking around I found a relatively small ship.
[Ship]
Not thinking twice about it, I decided to simply steal it.
Jumping on the boat, I quickly got to work as I started untying the small vessel.
Checking the supplies on the ship, I found 2 barrels. The first filled with food and the second with booze.
'Guess I won't have to worry about supplies'
Taking out the map and compass provided to me by the lovely Sarah Fortune during our party. I started looking at the different islands I could sail towards. I was certain the marines would brand me a criminal for my actions. So I needed to get away from Loguetown as soon as possible.
Just as I was about to raise the sail of the small boat I came face to face with a unpredicted encounter.
In front of me stood a tall young man, with slicked back spiky black hair, dark pointy eyebrows and yellow scrutinizing eyes akin to a hawk. The man wore a red shirt open at front with floral patterns, black leather pants and boots and a large sword sheathed on his back.
I was in front of none other than the greatest swordsman of our generation, Hawk eye Mihawk.

"Can I help you I asked?" Light heartedly, trying to get a feel of the situation.
The man was standing in the middle of the small boat unblinking staring at me.
"What are you doing on my ship?" He asked with his same emotionless expression.
