Terror Infinity: Monster

"Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?" It all started with this unassuming message. Most people would ignore it, clicking ‘No’ by instinct more than careful consideration. But for those unfortunate enough to click on ‘Yes’, a whole new world unfolds before them. Several, if they are talented. All so they may experience… Terror Infinity.

503 days may have passed for me, but we all appeared back in God's Dimension at the same time.

Looking at my team, most looked about the same as they were when I left them, except for some more weapons and armors.

It was mostly Jordan and Claire who had changed.

Claire had spent all of her time within the Land of Iron, and unlike me she had gone to the Demonic Faction straight away. She had gotten herself a sword, apparently. Her expression was also quite rich as she looked at me, or rather, the mask on my face.

On the other hand, Jordan now looked like a proper ninja. He had the coat of the Akatsuki, with one cloud on it, as well as a pouch probably filled with ninja weapons. He also felt sharper.

Claire was the one to break the silence as she exclaimed, "Is that Shuten Doji's Mask?!"

"You know about it?"

"Of course! It's the Samurai's lost treasure!"

Johnathan snorted, "Not so lost anymore."

Holding her Barrett in one hand and her Benelli in the other, Asher looked like Rambo's daughter as she asked, "So, ten days until The Boys. Has anyone made any concrete progress?"

Jonathan replied first, "I'm pretty sure Homelander can shrug off most if not all of my attacks, but I'm pretty sure I can harm most of the members of the Seven."

Sarah, with whom I locked eyes for a moment as we exchanged a smile, added, "I won't be very useful for combat, but I have improved my Restoration magic. In last case scenario, I could also use my Conjuration, although I'm not sure it will fare great against Supers in The Boys. Especially the Seven."

Jordan took out a kunai, playing with it around his fingers as he mumbled, "The Seven aren't the most important. Following the plot could help us kill them. What really matters, is how we will do against the other team."

I nodded, and added while looking at Asher, "You might be our best asset in the coming fight. If they are about as good as us, then your rifle should be enough to snipe most of their team."

She slightly waved her sniper rifle as she informed us, "As long as they are within two kilometers and not moving beyond mach 0.5, I can hit them."

"Good. We should use the remaining time we have to train together, to learn more about each other's limits and fight with them in mind."

Saying that, I split a part of my attention to God, and looked for my Stats.

Point wise and with Ranked Rewards, I was at absolute zero, as if I had just started the game. My Stats were quite different however.

Intelligence: 410 → 498

Mental Capacity: 613 → 1149

Cell Vitality: 512 (768) → 1764 (2646)

Reaction Speed: 415 → 520 (1040)

Muscle Density: 428 (642) → 976 (1464)

Immunization: 723 → 867

Before entering Naruto, my highest Stat was slightly above 700. Now, I had four of my six stats in the thousands, with my Cell Vitality even reaching 2.5k.

It was easy to see how they had grow too. I had slowly been improving all of my Stats in my time in the world of Naruto, but out of all my Stats it was my Mental Capacity that had improved the most out of my training.

For my other Stats, I didn't have any enhancements for them other than the Super Soldier Serum, so my growth in them was slow. But for my Mental Capacity, it directly increased alongside my Force Powers, which was how it was raised this much.

Then, Cell Vitality and Muscle Density were the two outliers. They hadn't increased so much through training, but instead through the absorption of Kyuubi's lifeforce.

My Cell Vitality, as the closest Stat to my lifeforce, had increased the most, more than tripling. As for Muscle Density, while it did not receive as big of an increase, it was still amazing enough. But it had probably been raised as a side effect of my Cell Vitality increasing.

With these kinds of Stats, I was much more confident about our incoming mission.

"Did you miss me?"

Sarah and I laid in bed, and she was snuggled up against me.

Chortling, I questioned, "Didn't I make that abundantly clear?"

She grinned and replied, "You certainly was intense."

"Didn't you like it?"

"When did I say that?"

I smiled and lowered my hand to give a butt a light squeeze, before asking, "I wonder how things will go with that other team."

"What do you mean?"

Sighing, I explained, "The Boys is a dangerous world on its own already. We don't even know in which world we will be sent to. It could be the TV Show like it could be the comics, and even if we knew which one it was they both expend over several years, so we could be facing tons of different scenarios. And that's not even accounting God fucking with us for shits and giggles."

As I said that, she rolled on top of me, forcing me to look at her as she stared into my eyes, and asked, "Are you scared?"

A small, old part of me wanted to look away. But I kept her gaze as I replied, "What if what we did wasn't enough? What if God simply pits us against a Team that has gone through more missions?"

Sarah seemed to share none of my concerns however as she continued smiling, and asked, "Do you think you are special? That you are the chosen one?"

"What?"

Sarah snorted, and said, "God's game wasn't built for you. Everyone, no matter which Team they are from, must obey to the same rules. And you know God won't put players in situations they can easily survive. Alright, ignore the other team for now. From my understanding, the Show version of The Boys is more dangerous, so let's go with that one. Out of every season, which one would you say was the most dangerous?"

I thought about it for a moment, before replying, "It would depend on which side you stand, but it would be between Season 2 and 3. If we get allied with The Boys, then Season 2 is the most dangerous one, as the Seven are still relatively amiable. Enough to band up against us, at least. Moreover, they have Homelander and Stormfront, two heavy hitters, as well as Victoria Neuman in the shadows, as the Head Popper.

"Season 3 is dangerous in its own right though. Every side is somewhat dangerous, as The Boys got Butcher with his temporary V and Soldier Boy, who's basically a walking nuke. Homelander, while more isolated than ever, is also unrestrained."

Resting her head on my chest, Sarah resumed, "Well, let's say we are sent into Season 2, as allies to the Boys, but you are alone. Do you think you could kill the Seven without any of us, and if not, how far are you from it?"

Thinking about this scenario, I took a moment to reply, "If they all attacked together, I could probably kill half of them. One on one, Homelander would destroy me, but for the rest, Queen Maeve and Stormfront would give me some trouble, but I would kill them."

The Force was actually quite a good counter to most Supes in The Boys. When well mastered, that is.

Sarah did not refute my words, and instead said, "Alright, so if you played your wards well, you could kill almost everyone in that world. It's almost unfair to be sending you to that world already, and you think would send someone vastly stronger than you? What would be the point, if they could one-shot Homelander?"

I wasn't so easily placated though, and sighed, "But I'm still worried. Think about it. God selected that world before we went into training. And now, I am vastly stronger than I was when I was selected. But look around us. How could have God made such a mistake?"

This time, Sarah didn't seem to have any argument left. Still, she ended up grabbing my face, and planted a kiss on my lips before saying, "Have some trust in us, then. We are going to win."
