Chapter 9: low class Beasts

[Ten thousand divine forge as detected a suitable Beast for future fusion experiments]

Adriel grew excited when he saw the message, this is the first time since getting the system that the divine forge showed a reaction, and it found a suitable beast, his dreams of merging powerful beasts to form an unrivaled Fierce beast above all other divine beasts would begin soon.

As the message appeared the whole void trembled loudly, Adriel couldn't help but look up, what he saw was remarkable, at the very peak of nine stairways an additional step appeared, and on top of it was a lonely star.

But the star was different from the others, it looked so lifeless and unremarkable, even though it stood at the peak it emanated faint indescribable light that wasn't as dazzling as stars on the lowest stairway.

But Adriel didn't care about all that, it didn't matter if he got a divine beast or an ant what mattered was it's potential!.

That being said, he cleared his mind of any kinds of doubt and set his sights on that last star as his martial stone.

"Looks like I got my work cut out for me this time" Adriel secretly resolved himself looking at how high he needed to climb to reach his goal.

Then he moved forward and stepped on the first celestial step, when he did it felt like he entered another world.

While feeling the changes he felt many pairs of cold eyes suddenly land on him and accompanying these gazes, tens of thousands of auras swept towards him like hammers and sharp needles.

Adriel took a look in front of him to see the source auras, and now he could see their appearance, from the outside he saw stars but now the stars he saw before turned out to be different ferocious looking beasts just as he had guessed.

The beasts on the first step were not that special, mostly herbivore-type beasts, the lowest of the low in the animal food chain like maggots, ants, goats, chicks , cows, etc. Their average Evo-potential was merely commander class the only thing not average about them his their high breading capacity.

Unexpectedly Adriel began to laugh when he felt their auras press on him: "how can pitiful creatures like you be here?" he paused and then said in a serious tone "how dare weak beasts like you dare posture in from of your father, I?."

All the beasts on the first step face widened in surprise upon hearing his words and they began to curse in their hearts.

'What the fuck is wrong with this human

'He's just as arrogant as the rest of humans that come here, always looking down on us first step dwellers'

'you came to our celestial step, our home the least you can do is make us your martial soul beasts.'

"Why won't we posture when you came to disturb our peace?'

'Why don't they ever form innate connection with us' one of the beast wailed in its heart.

'Even though we are weak individually, there are thousands of us here, I don't believe we can't crush you!'

'Teach him a lesson!' A three horned Ram shouted in the minds of the other beasts

Thinking up to this point they unleashed an aura several times more terrifying than before.

But it didn't mean much to Adriel, as a transmigirator his soul was far stronger than the others, aside from that his soul have been tempered by divine lightning.

He snorted, then he released some of his soul aura, directly pressing beasts closest to him to the ground.

After having his fun with this weak beasts, he lost interest as he said : " that's enough for today and still have ninety more steps to climb"

saying thatAdriel then stepped forward and climbed the next celestial step leaving behind dazed beasts.

As he expected, the same thing happened on the next celestial step, just like before his soul was hammered by fierce auras from all sides.

Adriel's soul withstood easily it and he continued ascending slowly he even used their aura to temper his soul.

Any time crossed ten celestial steps, the Evo potential of the beasts increase and so did their aura, and of course, their numbers slowly decreased.

He saw all kinds of beasts as he slowly ascended, from dogs to cats then jade eyed wolves, Crimson fire lions, phantom panthers, Razor mantises, tyrant bear, grizzly coop, Furious Buffalo, Purple horned Rhinoceros, Giant Beatles, red fox Dual winged Tigers, golden eagle, red crown falcon, owl-llow, giant lizards even Drakes.

under the painful torture from countless fierce beast auras, Adriel continued pressing forward step by step.

Just like before all the beast on each step grew angry if he wasnt forming link with them and tried their best to stop his advance.

On the first twenty floors Adriel still had a smile on his face but as he continued advancing his expression changed to a frown, by the time he reached the fortieth celestial, holes began to appear on his soul, and the light of his perfectly heroic soul emanated became weaker and weaker and by the time he reached the 80th celestial step what what was left of his soul was only 3/10th of how he was before he began ascending.
