"Let's start from the beginning..."

Calia: "It was my 18th birthday, and there I was, crying my eyes out, at the sight of my mother, stabbed from the back. My sibling laid there passed out, Avicia was bleeding from her head, and I was trying my best to heal her. Then, i passed out from exhaustion."

Navier: "This is the lamest way to start a story. You will scare them off"

Calia: "Right, sorry. Let's start from the beginning, The very beginning."

Third Person POV:

"There are 5 kingdoms in our planet, Telius. Each kingdom having it's own special features." Jack, the history teacher of 'Enchancian Academy of magic' recited these words from his old book "history of Telius".

Enchancian Academy of magic was a magical school for those who wished to learn magic to protect themselves, they had a long list of requirements which were so hard no one really wanted to attend. Some students chose not to enroll at all, or even show up, but those few chosen were able to learn more about the world around them than anyone else. This includes spells, potions, and other things that could help them survive in the outside world.

The Academy mainly focused on improving the inhabitants' magic skills and genral knowledge. It was a three storey building with a round roof, made of bricks and concrete.

"Now who here is going to tell me the name the kingdoms? We went over this yesterday", Jack continued.

From across the classroom, a human boy raised his hand. Jack nodded towards him and he began telling the names one by one, closing his eyes. "Enchancia, Kalda, Eumelia, Daara, and....oh! Vulcania."

Jack smiled at the boy, "Good. Now everyone, look at the map in your books, and read the notes about the kingdoms. Come on, no talking."

As the children looked at the map, it was a single landmass named 'Tash'.

On the top right was a kingdom coloured in white, which meant it was covered in snow. On the top of it, a name was written. 'Kalda'.

On the top left, a vast area was coloured in orange and red, presumably symbolizing lava and desert. It was named 'Vulcania'.

Just below Kalda, was a green area, surrounded by numerous symbols of trees. It was a plains biome, named 'Eumelia'. It covered most of the middle part too.

Between Eumelia and the water body, just below Vulcania was a sort of greenish brown area, marked as 'Daara'.

And below Eumelia was a brown land, named 'Enchancia'.

Below the map, there were descriptions of each kingdom.

Enchancia:

The kingdom of magic. Home to the humans. The citizens here are born with elemental powers. Each Enchancian is born with one element, Earth, water, wind, or fire. While the masters can learn to control Thunder or Ice as well. During the 'Great War' between Kalda and Enchancia, the royal family of the latter was assassinated, along with all the imperial guards that protected the empire. During this, the Vulcanian King, Augutus the First, offered a helping hand, in exchange of permanent ruling over Enchancia. Although Vulcania is not the technical ruler, it looks over the kingdom since then. And nobody, of Enchancian blood, has since worn the crown.

Kalda:

The kingdom of cold arts. Home to dwarves. As the name suggests, the kingdom is covered with mountains and glaciers. The residents face a year round winter, with snowstorms and cold winds. Fortunately, the citizens have well adapted to the climate, which made them have thick skin and suitable clothes. The dwarves generally live in underground caves. Despite the cold atmosphere, Kalda has several underground mines, which possess the most valuable resources. The people are well known for their craftsmanship. All the antique weapons and artillery, are exported from kalda, to the whole Telius.

Eumelia:

The kingdom of songs. It is surrouned by a thick forest, legends say that the forest chooses who enters. Home to every species, with no discrimination or racism. It is not ruled by anyone for they believe it is only a god's role to look after 'Her' children, not a king's. Bards are all over the kingdom, playing songs all day long, and the night is filled with the melody of insects and birds. The citizens are known to have the kindest hearts.

Daara:

The kingdom of wisdom, all the elite scholars have graduated from The Academy of Daara. Home to elves and humans. Daara is known to have records of every event from every empire. Although the people are intelligent and wise, with advanced technology, they are known to have hearts of steel. It is ruled by Vulcania.

Vulcania: no records.

Third Person Pov:

"Mr. Jack, what's the Great War?" a girl asked.

Jack sighed and turned to his blackboard. "The great war happened between Enchancia and Kalda. From the beginning of time Kalda wasn't an empire, it was ruled by us. But the dwarves revolted against us, and assassinated the royal family. Sadly there is no record of the war, after the destruction of our homeland, all the records have been burned. It has been 100 years, and nobody remembers what happened. " the teacher stated.

"I don't believe it."

A loud, clear voice emerged from the last bench. A tall olive skinned girl, no more than 15 years stood up, clear determination in her face. She had brown eyes, long, straight brown hair.

Her ears stuck out like a deer's, and she wore a dark blue dress, a thin silver chain running down her neck. The professor frowned.

"I don't believe this. How is it possible that there are no records? Why does Vulcania have no records either? What if someone hid the records on purpose? My mom always tells me there is more to it."

"If you continue to question the truth, I will ask you to leave. This is a government school, not some playground. Jack said calmly.

"I'm afraid I will have to ask you to sit down, Miss...."

"Calia."
