Chapter 92: A Day in Solitude

"How many trees are there in this place?" In a greenhouse that connected directly to the forest, it appeared fragile, but the glass was the highest-grade armor that couldn't be found through conventional methods.

Stiles was checking the silver bullets he would use on his next mission, which had been indefinitely postponed due to his lost friend.

"You're still sad. You'd better help me keep these fruit trees alive before we move them to the back of the mansion," Ethan said, looking at Stiles, who was more concerned than usual with these things.

Ethan had planted around five hundred trees here; he hadn't increased the numbers because his job didn't allow it, and he was currently preparing for a trip to hunt some mischievous wolves.

"What's the easiest way to spot a werewolf?" Ethan walked over to a shelf where he had many phone numbers written down, and from memory, he knew someone in his contact list who would know more about the subject.

"This is the phone number; I'm sure of it." Ethan said as he dialed a number he should be familiar with.

"Who's speaking?" On the other end of the line, a seemingly tired voice came through the receiver.

Ethan, who saw the name of the person he had called, said, "Cousin Dean, don't you remember your dear friend?"

"Your voice sounds familiar. Are you that killer who wiped out an entire town years ago?" Dean asked from the other end of the call.

Ethan sighed as he watered his trees and said, "You know your insults don't cause me any emotion. How are you?"

"Fine, we're still working." Dean replied with a slightly heavy voice.

Ethan, who learned this, seemed surprised and asked, "I don't want to talk about the family, much less about the past."

"Yes, recently, I heard that our family is completely unhinged, but being one of the most powerful families in the supernatural world, it's understandable. Well, I know you didn't call to check on me, so tell me, what do you need?" Dean knew Ethan because, somehow, everyone had heard about him, especially after sharing a data source with his raid videos.

Since then, everyone has avoided working with Ethan, but all that was erased after he was named regent of half of the organization.

And recently, reports uploaded to the Association of Light's information page revealed Ethan's recent work, all of which was extremely important due to the entity he had erased from the human world.

At that point, Dean didn't want to antagonize any more powerful dark entities by getting involved with Ethan, but knowing that he had called him for something special, he wanted to be helpful in case he ever needed the strength to kill the one who took his father.

"Recently, an organization has tried to attack me. If they're after me, as the head of the family, I need life insurance, and you will be that insurance," Ethan said. As a last resort, he would keep the information about the serums he wouldn't use; this last resort would give humans the chance to be strong.

As he had resorted to desperate measures, only his closest group of soldiers would use the serum to become stronger. At Sebastian's suggestion, they required extensive research to ensure that the subject given this power was in the right condition to use it properly.

That's why, in addition to having his werewolves as special forces, he would have a group of good soldiers raised from childhood to be the family's ultimate force.

Using reverse engineering, they could create more serums, not with the same potency, but humans would be on par with powerful dark entities.

This project needed insurance, and Dean would be the first key to connecting that insurance with his sister in case he died. And if it's the other way around, Stiles would be another part of that insurance.

"What do you need me to do?" Dean got serious at this. Wanting to kill a regent would turn the world upside down; he assumed that numerous intelligence organizations were investigating the matter, so he wasn't worried.

Ethan looked at some numbers and said, "I want you to tattoo some numbers. If, for any reason, I die, I want that message to reach my sister and tell her to visit the greenhouse of the black mansion. She'll know what I'm talking about."

Sarah is the Winchester family's insurance; she had more protection than even the president of a country, so the chances of her dying were very slim.

That's why, unless she dies, her information will be passed on to her so she can make her decision.

"I'll do it; tell me the numbers."

Ethan then began dictating the numbers; they made no sense to anyone else because they could only be deciphered if they were at the black mansion, and no one but them knew what the black mansion was.

"Is everything okay?"

"In less than ten years, the world won't be okay. I recommend you proceed carefully with how you want to use your life." Ethan then hung up the phone, and at that moment, a call came in from the logistics room.

"Everything in order?" Stiles asked, looking at Ethan's serious face.

"We have work. It may be related to your lost friend, but I'm not sure," Ethan said before grabbing his jacket and heading out.
